For me the best drive I've ever used
Caution must buy a TS9 with the original JRC4558D chip, because the grain copies or reissus has nothing to do especially if you use it with a good tube amp.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been 6 months since I played with a vintage and I still enjoy.

It allows me to have the additional crunch the AC30C2 (I does not fully gain on the clean channel for effects). It is almost always walking again.

This is really a plus in your board.

UTILIZATION

To use, you can not get any easier. Rules you rate'' crunch'' and tone.
Once you have your sound volume to the rules you there is no difference in volume pedal engaged / activated

The effect is nickel.
it is a very light crunch that appears when you attack the strings frankly, its a good rock.

As advised by the greatest, I also tested this pedal in front of other pedals overdrive / distortion / fuzz for a little boost. It is true that it adds a little something.

The value for money is in my opinion excellent. Ok Boss pedals may be a little cheaper but the sound is really nothing to see, it's worth it to add a few dollars.

This pedal gives the extra ooomph to my Fender rig when playing da Blues. It is the ultimate boost (except maybe a TS-808).

Could use a bit more gain, but that's why Ibanez made the TS-9DX.

Puh-leeeeeze. This thing is a tank. I gigged straight for over a year without a backup and it NEVER failed. Just make sure to use a pedal board or external power source. Replacing batteries for each gig is a bummer.

This pedal is a must for any blues freak. GO BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the TS9 Tube Screamer at Midwest Drum and Percussion in Wichita, KS. I shelled out $99 US dollar for the TS9, the best deal I've seen at any store. Most of the time the TS9 is being sold for around $150. You can get it on the net for $99 but this was the first time I'd seen it in a store so cheap. The fact that an issue of Musicians Friend.com was sitting on the counter probably influenced the pricing. I wanted to play one to see what all the fuss was about before I bought it. (I was intending to order it online; until they were able to match the online price) So,I plugged it into a Fender Amp to give it a 'test drive.'

I love to play old rock and blues guitar, so I instantly fell in love with the pedal. It drives the amp really nicely, but doesn't distort it too much. I have other overdrive pedals (I'd been trying to resist the TS9 since lots of people rave about it; I guess I always have to be different) but the other overdrives I own tend to be more distortion than overdrive. SRV was supposedly really into the TS, and I can see why. The tone comes through really nicely. I play a US strat (white blonde) through a Tube 30 (cheap amp that is an excellent buy) and the TS9 sounds great through it. The pedal is really simple to use. It consists of 3 knobs: Overdrive, Tone, and Level. The overdrive adjust the amount of distortion, the tone knob adds the amount of desired bite, and the level knob controls the level of the distorted sound. All in all it's a great little pedal. I admit it, I'm a Stevie Ray Vaughabe, so the tone is great for me. It has that nice "Texas Flood" sound.

As far as dislikes go, I really can't think of any. I love the pedal and now my wife is upset with me because I have several pedals, but really only use the TS9. I guess I should have purchased the Tube Sreamer first.

The pedal is built to last. It's made of Zinc die cast construction, which means it's built like a brick $%@#house. It's green, which I'm not sure is good or bad, but the construction of the pedal is good quality.

The pedal is very nice. It's not quite the same sound as the old TS808, but it's really close. You can always modify it, or have it modified to 808 specs if you desire. For $99 dollars it's a great deal. If you like SRV and Clapton style of music, you really can't be without one of these pedals.

Which instruments do you use? I use it between my Cort EVL Z4 and my old Marshall Valvestate 8100 ... it takes a good boost when I switched the TS9

How long you use it? I used the first time our Thursday (2/23/12) on repeat! and the group has finally heard my solos!!

great sound, it sends! I highly recommend it to those who want to boost their lead channel

The PDAL is a bomb, although uses (p ex and APRS qualiser before we get a lot of true rock sound.

SOUND QUALITY

Well, it's basically why I made the purchase. The MODEL used by Eric Clapton, Keith Richards or even Popa Chubby has built a reputable in the field of overdrive. Possdant Pod2 one I tried in vain to get an overdrive but when I attacked the strings, obtained by saturation attack lgre turned distortion.

I use an Ibanez RG550 with a Peavey Classic 50/50 and with a Vox V847.

Depending on rglage gain, you get a crunch from the muscles a nice warm overdrive.
The knob of the Tone is not to look pretty, it is feared
I use most of the time, the neck pickup with the potentiomtre Tone of the guitar 7 / 10.

The grain obtained is fabulous with either the bridge or neck pickup your exact is not aggressive. By combining a TS9 Tremolo lightweight, one raproche Vox amps of the '60s.

I use the following rglages on M-one to try to reproduce a Vox AC-30:

IDAL is the MODEL for Blues, Blues / Rock. If you are looking for a metal distortion, go your way.

OVERALL OPINION

Try it and adopt it. I heard this effect unit, there are 7 / 8 years old when I com o play the guitar, I think the c'tait TS5 MODEL therefore cheap. A force to try to reproduce with a TS9 POD2, I buy a DCID TS9 Reissue. Few months after the purchase, I changed the two Integrated Circuits and Resistors to reproduce the TS808. I use it for 2 years and it serves me for everything. After saturation for sharp well for solos, especially if you play as a group, choose the disto ... but the TS9 is to have in all cases, anyway! Its price is not high compared to its potential and remains affordable OCCAZ.

It is a small jewelry overdrive, blues and grunge trs. No metal distortion but is ncessaire?

I use a vox amp with a 52 telecaster and it carrment the rve. The heat of the overdrive gives a warm and trs trs lamp. There are no complaints.

OVERALL OPINION

I tried one of the 80 original TS9 and I did not hear any diffrence. I do not believe that a magic mystrieuse oprerait electronics in the 80s and I do not think Ibanez would have had to remake its own ide hardware and less well. (What would be the intrt).
The sound is anywhere outside like the original, no need to ruin by finding a use pedals. Its new price is well justified because trying to adopt for trs trs long. I do not use more than l. There are unavoidable, the TS9 is one.
