IT-11 Audio Honk Machine OD

This is an overdrive whose main feature is its setting "honk" which excavates or boost medium: depending on the setting you have a rather transparent overdrive or so then typed TS (or more ...). So a lot of versatility

UTILIZATION

The config is simple with 4 knobs: the "honk" therefore, Volume, Tone and Gain: no manual but not really essential

SOUND QUALITY

This overdrive pedal is very versatile: I'd buy it for my solos mix TS way out but it also allowed me to ease my pedalboard of my OCD. Attention she still less gain than OCD that goes to the distortion.
A feature to be mentioned: "Honk" is before the gain stage and therefore you will have more gain with a high setting Honk and slight overdrive when the kids.
Sound quality is undeniable and it sounds with all guitars with which I was able to play: Strat, Les Paul Special (with P90) ES339 (classic '57) or Lag Roxanne equipped in SD.
My first use with Honk is the 3/4 to get my solos mix without increasing the volume and very little gain. It works perfectly, every time keeping the guitar for each grain.
But it's also perfect with very little gain and honk for a rhythm a little dirty, harmonically rich but not grub up vocals.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought this pedal on the stand that Gilles Ferrand, Mr. IT-11 AUDIO, held at the Belfry Guitar Festival in Montrouge in March 2014 and therefore I use it for about 6 months. I am fully satisfied with the price fair was 170EUR, it's very well built equipment, France, by someone who still listens and provides a real after-sales service.
A choice I would do, certainly, since the machine took up Honk for the long term on my pedalboard
