Disaster Area opened the pre-orders for its new DPC-4EZ effect loop true bypass switcher with MIDI control.
The DPC-4EZ is a more compact version of the DPC-8EZ with 4 effect loops only and MIDI. It is compatible with the Disaster Area second generation of pedal controllers (DMC-6D and DMC-7D) and can be combined with other effect loop controllers (DPC-8EZ for example).
You’ll find on the compact box four footswitch to select the presets or manually control the effect loops. 12 presets can be accessed via the footswitches, they are organized into 4 banks of 3 presets each. And if you own an external MIDI controller, you can use up to 128 presets.
The DPC-4EZ also features a USB port for future firmware updates on Mac and PC, it can also act as a USB MIDI interface on Mac, PC and iPad (the latter with the Apple USB camera connection kit).
The DPC-4EZ will be available in May, you can pre-order it now for $249.99 at www.disasterareaamps.com. Note that several finishes are available for this model.
