With a circuit similar to the radial JD7, it can not be that good at all.
And .... Indeed, the buffer will add a plethora of pedals behind this one and bye bye background noise or breath. Haaa happiness for the ears.

Used alone to an amp, it will boost the signal phenomenal way.
Your amp will sound like never before. You will add a kind of overdrive, but transparent and will not denature the sound of your amp or your overdrive channel. The sound will be fatter, more .... Lovely!
This pedal is unique and if I had to keep that one, it would be this one! It transcends everything you plug in!
