Decent pedalboard after some mods!

Boss BCB-60 Pedal BoardPublished on 07/25/11 at 08:41
I got the BOSS BCB-60 pedelboard in a trade, and it's what I currently use on stage. Stock, it can only hold 6 standard BOSS pedals, or 4 pedals and a wah. Pretty sad eh? What I did was I took out the foam, and put Velcro and a riser in the back. This way I can fit MUCH more onto the pedal board. The board itself is built decently, it's a very sturdy plastic, and the patch-bays are metal with metal jacks. I haven't had any problems with the patch-bays yet, no tone sucking, etc.

The power supply that came with it is good, for a daisy chain that is. I had to switch to a BBE Supa Charger that has isolated outlets because I was getting ground loop hum. That said, if you aren't running...…

The power supply that came with it is good, for a daisy chain that is. I had to switch to a BBE Supa Charger that has isolated outlets because I was getting ground loop hum. That said, if you aren't running pedals in both the effects loop of your amp AND in front of your amp you should be fine.

What I don't like is that the latches on the case do seem a little flimsy, but so far they've held up just great. Pretty much everything on this case seems fairly high-quality in general though, and being BOSS, it probably will hold up great over time.

Overall, I am very happy with this pedelboard. It has served me well, but BOSS could have improved the original design by not using their silly foam system that absolutely wastes so much space. Would I recommend this to people? Well, somewhat. I am currently building my own pedalboard that is both bigger and angled, and I can build it cheaper than I can get the BOSS pedalboard for new, and I know it will be exactly what I want. So, if you are handy with tools, I suggest you build your own. If not, the BOSS is a good board to get.

A true wonder!

Everything has been thought-out...
Several parts can be removed for a clean cable run and to match several non-standard pedal sizes... You'll need less than half an hour to fasten your pedals (5 pieces in my case) and that's it!

Pedal and cable chaos belong to the past. I don't need to spend a quarter of an hour setting up my system at the beginning of each rehearsal anymore...

You only have to plug the guitar cable, the amp cable and the external PSU.

Based on my experience I would surely buy this product again! And I regret not having bought...…

First, connector level, we have:

Note that you can use either ... or 2 (see tip that I posted some time ago!)

OUT DC-Jack, which share the multi "spider" that feeds the pedals.

Level accessories, everything is also provided: 5 patches short, 3 long patches, cable 6 spider maze and alim 1000m / A 9V ACDC!
I said not to have known buzz or other noise with these accessories ...
There are also 3 pre-cut foam + a spare!

Its outer dimensions (mm): 670 width. x 370 prof. x 100 high.
This gives internally for some pedals 630 x 230
Finally, this case weighs 3.8 kg

I used this for 2 years Pedalboard ... at home and rehearsals only.
I had no problem with. I sold it in excellent condition ... The guy who bought it for me here certainly could talk!
So when I see opinions that squarely bury this bag, I do not completely agree. After that, do not be a nag, and take care of his gear a minimum!
Nevertheless, it is true that if you turn 150 days per year, it may not be the best investment ... I admit it! But someone like me, go to the small repeats once per week and leaves the floor at home in front of the cabinet, it must be done expressly for the screw up!

Ultimately, its main drawback is not being able to put a few pedals, small format ... It is certain that those who have a pedalboard with all the different effects that exist will go their way.
Personally, I: a wha (and yes!), Tuner, EQ, chorus and delay.
I used the 2 outputs, one to the amp, the other in the loop (see tips)

Wha on, it is sufficient to oter skates and put some velcro to stabilize nickel ... it fits, even if it is limited in height ... Usually the case is closed only during transportation is not it?

You can also turn to foam and Velcro everywhere. At this point, without Wha, you can easily get 4 and 3 Boss MXR level format.

I also liked the chute in which cache son spider and long patches.

Everything is connected ... there remains only "plugger" his guitar and put the power supply into the socket.

So it is not a Pedal Train (soft case or hard case), but it does the job well.
This review looks only at me but I wanted to share it with any interested because, I repeat, it's worth it!

Zique good at all.

Tsss tsss tssssss; thought wrong!

Mega problem: the thickness of the cover is too small. If you use a format pedals higher than the Boss, or even just a wah, well you can not close the board!
Morality: we need a padded gig bag. It increases the budget ...
Second criticism: the preformed foam sheets are perfect for the Boss, but again, if you use other pedals, it is better to use these plates velcro. On therefore pays for nothing, as the cover.
Poorly thought!
