Softube is at NAMM 2015 to introduce a new flexible Transient Shaper plug-in for Mac and PC.
The upcoming Softube Transient Shaper works differently than other processors in this category: it operates on two bands and will process only part of the audio signal. The user has separate Sustain and Punch controls, each completed with a Hi/Wide/lo switch. A Fast/Slow switch is also available in the Punch section.
This architecture gives you the ability to process drums and percussions, but also vocals and acoustic instruments.
You can adjust the crossover frequency between 100 Hz and 4 kHz, the output level between –49 and +12 dB and a Clip/No Clip switch completes the setup.
The Softube Transient Shaper will be available in VST, AU and AAX formats for Mac and Windows. It should be released in February and sold $89.
