I used it for over a year as amp study. A again, I repeat the pattern above. Super purchase, we find more cheap OCCAZ. I was amazed by the THR X 10 at Yamaha? that in the same style sends to super heavy metal, and outputs a much nicer sound.

What impresses even more with this cube is the ability to play amplified with only 6 LR06 batteries for fifteen hours (tested and approved), even at high volume.

I have not seen this on any other equivalent feat amp.

    UTILIZATION

Although this tiny little thing is a concentrated position, she manages to stay more easy to use, no need manual.
Guitar plugged in, select the type of sound, you can add the sound effect, you can connect an mp3 or behind the laptop with backing tracks that you have carefully selected, to see a microphone.
It plugs into mains via a transformer, with 6 or R6 (20 hours autonomy seems you there).
In short, it is simple, comprehensive, very convenient.

    SOUNDS

The sounds are well done, with a little reverb it feels like an amp with a much greater range. Same volume mounted above, it may be necessary in a small room.

For distorted sounds, then we must recognize that all tube amp rack> € 2000 is much better. To be a teacher, we will summarize to "there is a saturated medium and a little more than average." Do not expect sound or Rammstein Bay Area ...

on the other hand, very little noise.

    OVERALL OPINION

This little amp is very good to start a career as a guitarist electric, perfect for a bedroom, it will be an excellent companion for beef one night with friends.

For more seasoned guitarists, it is a great travel companion, in addition to a much more advanced configuration everyday. It is smaller than a pack of detergent, you can hop in and hide in the trunk going on tour, "oh Bonux gift!" you say to your dear and loving in discovering under his very eyes ...

It is very well his job for which it was designed = play in his room without waking the neighbors, and not be bothered traveling.

An integrated tuning giving the the flat and the soil

Power of 2 Watts nickel to practice or play in an apartment without disturbing the neighborhood

    UTILIZATION

The configuration could not be more simple, easily obtained a good sound. Depending on the guitar tone must be set differently (usually between 10 and 14 h for me) and I also changed the tone according to the modeled amp to get the sound you want, it is very easy. The manual is clear and sufficient.

    SOUNDS

It is suitable for any type of music to practice at home. the sound is quite coarse saturation I find I rarely exceed the brit combo that once pushed the gain saturates enough for hard rock. With a strat and a guitar with P90 in the Marshall Mesa Boogie and the passing medium so do not put too much gain. P90 on the neck pickup on a lot of bass guitar mahogany so you must manage to avoid ringing tone from the small speaker. The sound lacks a bit of finesse to play but it is low volume.

I do not like the acoustic sound and the two most saturated tones (Classic Stack Proud and R), the rest is nickel for size and price, especially for home use that I have.

Edit I tamed both saturated and sound is excellent!

    OVERALL OPINION

It was my first amp ... in 2006. I had sold to buy something else, since I've had tube amps but good quality for the apartment that quickly became unmanageable. I had the opportunity to recover a recently rediscovered I more an amp for beginners, it is a good tool to train at home. The sound is quite satisfactory for that.

Between two I tried a Fender Mustang, a real gas plant, full of presets, full of effects, too complicated ... USB connectivity and software ergonomics are essential because without direct the computer is bad enough for my taste, so not too much interest for someone who just wants to lead and not spend 20 minutes to find her. The micro cube has less dynamic sound, we feel the progress of the Mustang, but it is so much easier to use than I prefer. And this is my first amp, it's sentimental :)

Originally, I was looking for an amp "nomadic" to play anywhere with its relatively good and this amp does wonders. (It changes little amps that attaches to the belt and delivers a really lame because of their ridiculous size).

The effect setting is very imprecise, to do it "by ear" and not try to tweak.
In addition, you can not use the first four knob effects (chorus, flanger, phaser, and tremolo) simultaneously. Same for the second knob (delay / reverb).
But regardless, it was not what I asked.

    SOUNDS

Here we come to the highlight of this amp.
As I said, unlike all the amps "nomads", this amp is on top of the podium (admittedly, size plays a lot).

The amp models are convincing (also pretty amazing), they are organized in a way that more is intelligent (the clearest sound [JC-120] in his most aggressive [mesa Rectifier]).

As amp / study room, this is perfect, especially when you do not want to heat lamps for a short time (or lazy).

The battery life is very good (more or less 18/20 hours of gameplay on batteries).

So I use mainly for work / find plans. My favorite channel for clean sounds corresponding to the second amp (Fender Twin Reverb simulation) to gain half a quarter volume (it is more than enough!), Half-tone or 3/4, no effect except a flick of reverb.
For use in saturated mainly Marshall and Mesa, with the same settings as for clean sounds.
I almost never touch the settings (except to change the reverb in delay), it is just to have a pleasant sound rather than playing the strings to work (although it happens to me too ...)

The only weak point of this beast is its small HP 5 ", which had a volume control (or with a guitar tuned lower than standard), drooling and saturates in the bass.

    OVERALL OPINION

It's been a few years since I have and I do not regret this purchase.
This is an extra amp (or travel) very pleasant to use.

2 watts of course, but they are real watts! Some effects not bad!

    UTILIZATION

A sound that depends on settings, avoided saturated with effects!

    SOUNDS

This amp is designed to be transported and not to play at home, much less a group!

    SOUNDS

It works for all, without excel anywhere of course. Perfect for learning, but be careful you will not be happy if we want a real nice sound! The distos are accurate, although somewhat garish fast (huge headroom to pass, especially on the simulation of Recto). Cleans quite dull, no crystal here, riding the highs tend to be sharp instead of open.
ODs are disgusting in my opinion, anyway I never use this stuff. Generally I use the JC-120 for my plans jazz, acoustic for arpeggios, classic simulation (JCM 800?) For the heavy 70-80 s, and R-Fier (Mesa Rectifier) for more aggressive stuff.
    Short enough to work.
(Played with a Cort Aero 11 mounted in EMG 81X and 60X-scratching mahogany and maple neck-table)

    OVERALL OPINION

I use 1 hour per week of scratching my school for 1 year and a half. I usually play on a Peavey Vypyr 15W, already had in his hands a Peavey XXX, Vox VT40, a Vox Lil'Nighttrain a Tiny Terror, a Blackheart elements in comparison. I do not like the size of HP (which are baaaaaaasseeuuh?), The OD, however the simulation of JC's nice. Quality / price ratio excellent, again to use it as it is intended.
    PS: it looks indestructible.

Very simple configuration, there is no easier way elsewhere. The manual, I did not open, I do not even know what head he.

To get a good sound, there is nothing to do, if not select a type of simulation and turn up the gain and volume effects and convenience.

    SOUNDS

So for her it covers all the needs of beginners. If I had it 20 years ago ... In short, everything has been said about its versatility.

After a little more to get in the thick of it, the sound is indeed the amp a little cold (but the size of HP is probably for something). Dynamics is also a little packed, but frankly feel of the game nuances soufrent do not get is astonishing! One beef with 2 friends on position "Brit Combo", and we get to spend a good clean to crunch with the volume of guitars!
Effects are funny: I personally find very phaser Hendrix (I love), coupled to a delay can make rhythmic psychedelic Dub awesome. After the reverb is a bit too-much like a Fender amp, why not.

A note on my model a problem HP: if it vibrates on the low E string (with any scratches) ... Roland returned from Europe in Holland, income and they found nothing. After my store salesman told me that sometimes the dismantling of HP with a rotation of 90 ° or 180 ° is sufficient to solve this kind of problem. Of course it still vibrates, but nothing alarming.
During gigs with two friends who also have a microcube, it does not have this kind of problem, it is a priori super rare.

    OVERALL OPINION

Where I want to emphasize, and this is why I post an opinion, it is his side Swiss Army knife in use but also in sound.

Side use battery power like well advertised 20h (tested), to play in a garden, in nature or in the street (one-plugged training (!?)) Is perfect.

His side, I used several times on average scenes (200 people), but ... taken using the "line out" that cuts the HP and then taken by a DI box, and sound engineer sound réinjectais me in return. Whenever everyone is blown away by the sound I get out of the well and mix gently (Simulation of Fender Twin or JC 120, used with a good Telecaster and my pedal-board upstream).
In gigs with friends and rehearsal room, I still use the exit "line out" is to attack my wideband amplifier (50w keyboard amp Novanex 50 francs bought 15 years ago) or the sound present in the room. Each time it is mud. on the other hand I tried recording studio, it blows a little not possible (damage), it is better to put a microphone in front.

In short, a perfect amp for playing at home or with friends at a low volume (great for work plans several), and a small Swiss Army knife for rehearsals / live (by taking "Line Out"). Tone color simulations we like it or not like it, I personally have had simus POD, Digitech, Vox, frankly it's COSM Roland Cube I prefer (but can be cold in a super efficient mix group).

Coupled with the Micro Cube amp in my broadband I do break more back with my old tube amps (Marshall JCM 900 and Laney LC 50 that I sell elsewhere). Perhaps for the sake of convenience I will buy bigger if the need arises: is certainly the Roland Cube80XL or perhaps the Fender Mustang III.

And use appropriate for beginners who want to get a satisfying sound settings without too much

    SOUNDS

Playing styles ranging from blues to metal, this amp with 6 imitation amp is perfect for beginners wanting to play all styles of music.
The lack of acoustic amp "tone" when played at low power but is very realistic
The Fender amp and Roland have a great clear sound, but you have pushed the volume has more than half to see the Fender cruncher which is annoying when you play in a domestic space.
The Vox pitcher with very quickly and allows the gain to get back into serious micro beautiful low
The Marshall high volume provides a good overdrive sound perfect for the Hard Rock
MESA has the same very small (quarter of the race) gives off overdrive which I personally found me on the impressionnés.Idéal for his legendary Slash particular or regained his legendary group of hair that remind us that one day we will die!

The effects for me are a little too chemical and not enough "versatile". Indeed it is very difficult to adjust for example the delay to find the sound of U2 and ended up with phaser sound of Pink Floyd Breathe in

    OVERALL OPINION

I use this amp for 4 years now with a Strat and a Les Paul Hagstrom kinds. This is my first amp and I will renew this purchase without problem!
Despite the effects a chemical can too and settings not developed enough, the beginner will be more than happy to play everything (anything) through 6 amp imitations. Ideal for playing in his room, but not powerful enough to use one stage (as the car! XD)
For less than 120 euros you can afford quality Roland, an amp that fits in the trunk of an Austin Mini (which is an achievement believe me!) Also you can take it and played around with diet battery that can hold 20 hours of after the manual (I never tried)

There are 7 digital amp modeling presets; Acoustic, JC Clean, Black Panel, Brit Combo, Stack; Classic and Rectifier and a Mic preset in case you want to put a mic through this amp.

The amp has 6 effects, which I find a little over the top, but here they are: Chorus, Flanger, Tremelo, Phaser, Delay and Reverb.

The built in tuning fork is sort of week. A chromatic tuner would have been much more effective in my opinion.

The EQ is just one lonesome Tone knob, a 3-band EQ would have been cooler, but hey it's a cheap amp I get it.

Well built. It comes with a handy strap. Most of these are black, but I snagged a less popular white finish, there is also pink.

The LED light is pretty small too, it is a bit hard to tell if the amp is on or off.

A fun little rocker to keep around the house. Sure it isn't perfect, but if your big rig is packed away it is nice to have this to practice on.

i bought my last practice amp about twenty years ago and so decided it was about time for a change .

i pur chased this unit for a mere 69 quid from a local music store .

when buying anything i always do my homework on it and check out reviews etc . and this little amp was no exception . and let me say that after reading many positive feedbacks on thie cube to get it home and try it myself was an absolute treat. the sound quality for something so small is really quite amazing and the effects , well there not just there for show they take this little buty to the next level . just buy one .....

there is nothing negative to say about this amp.

build quality ..a fairly light amp [its small] fairly robust unit, metal front grill , well constructed knobs and sockets ..overall very good.

i would be very suprised if thier was a better practice amp out there for this kind of money offering what this guy does .sweet..

    Bought new off of Ebay.
Paid $98 after shipping. Good Deal!

I am truly amazed at the clean sound that comes out of this little amp. Even on batteries it has a nice LOAD clean sound. It features a nice array of amps and clean sounding sound effects. And even more amazing is how loud this little amp can get. It can more than deliver what most people playing will need away from the home. I use this amp to help sell folk instruments I make at shows. And 99% of the time, the customer is trying to buy the amp from me. I wish I could get them for under a 100 all the time, and then I would start selling them. ;c)

After 6 months of owning this amp, about the only thing I don't like is not having a Stereo output. Most amps nowadays, that offer the many different sound effects this amp has, also have the capability of stereo output. Also since it has the ability of plugging in a CD player to play along with, I just am a little surprised that there wasn’t the choice there. I also have gotten use to plugging in extra speakers on my other amps that do have the stereo outputs.

I have been doing shows all over the State of Alaska. Roads up here are horrible with chuckholes, that are as deep as a foot, and impossible to avoid outside of causing an accident. I must admit that I have abused this amp, and it has never shown any problems with getting thrown around, bumped or even rained on.

I can guarantee that in an amp, only having 2 watts as this one has. Dollar for Dollar, anyone needing a small practice amp that can be heard by a group of people standing around outside, would be more than happy with this little rocket. It has such a clean sound and a very nice array of sound effects that you will not find in any other amp of the same size.

i bought this online from musicians friend for $125.00. i was looking for something portable and this was recommneded to me by a friend.

absolutely everything was great about this amp! i couldnt believe all of the effects and the sound that this little gem put out. i would definitely recommend it to anyone.

to be honest, there wasnt anything that i didnt like about this unit. it met or exceeded all of my expectations.

roland generally has a good name concerning its products. i havent had it very long, but it seems solid despite its light weight.

if you need an amp that has built in effects, is portable and sounds great, this is the one for you.
