A good lead sound? non.je could never get a lead sound acceptable to this machine.

The clean sound has always amazed, horrified the lead sound!

- How long have you use it?
I used this amp in an intermittent over several decades without regard to reliability.
- What is so special that you like most and least?
I had paid dearly in 81 whereas it cost the same price as the Boogie.C 'was the model Hardwood beautiful ... and very heavy.
A very good and very bad sound on the same amp ... weird!
- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
No, it was not a common pattern in the province in 80 and only available to order.
I bought it because the times were very long Boogie. (2 years!)
For me it is one of the biggest mistakes I made stuff, but this amp can steal another guitarist.

All tube amp of 100W/50W. The speaker Electro-Voice coupled to lamps and wiring by hand, the sound is magical. It can boost the bass and treble and more, there is a very effective equalizer. We can control the reverb and equalizer foot and a channel change.

UTILIZATION

I often resolved to obtain a clear tube amps on the following with my Gibson L4CES:
Bass Medium = 10 = 0 = 0 and Treble (I did not invent is Grant Green, who did so.)
It thus leaves the bass to bass. (When I play alone, accompanying, I change the setting of course ...)
On Fender amps, this setting is best for my taste and with my acoustic guitar but with, we can further adjust the room, the taste of time to sculpt the sound. EV speaker does the rest. It is 12 inches but has the big sound of a 15-inch and cash as 2 X 12 or Jensen eminence ...
For lead, with my Les Paul's also is the heavy, fat. My Musicman amp does the same and Celestion Speakers seems better than the EV for that.

SOUNDS

For the Jazz, it's perfect. For blues, variety, too. For hard rock, it will not be the best choice (and again ...)
It is noted that two points be taken into account:
This amp is very heavy (30 Kg) I said Assistant wheels but the lamps do not like uneven ground.
The transformers are great, but it remains a little "hum" at low volume. So in an apartment, it's not great. It must be pushed a little to no longer hear the hum. If the grounding is poor, as with all tube amps for that matter, the phenomenon is even more present. On a large stage or outdoors, there is no problem.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two years and is the top. The American sound, lights, heat, precision, the sound that carves and more, it is beautiful in my living room, near the piano centennial Cabasse and walnut. He remained in excellent condition and it may bury me because he does not age, it )
It is on that given its weight, I am always reluctant to leave but after each performance (and during) I have bananas, it rings of fire god!
