This is a amp stack that Marshall did on behalf of Dave Mustain from Megadeth. Dave originally played for a Metallica back in the 80's and then left the band to do his own thing which would eventually be one of the biggest bands in the world. Dave has done now 13 albums including their upcoming album called 13 with Megadeth. This amp stack is to give you a basic small tone of his actual Marshall stack that he uses on stage at shows.

SOUNDS

If you must pick up one of the solid state MG amps from Marshall make sure you get the FDD switch on there. The over drive channel is excellent for modern rock and will sound good with any guitar used with humbucker pickup. It really tightens the distortion up a lot and fills the tone out more. The tone becomes thicker and fatter much like a real tube amp from Marshall.

This amp has the voicing needed to do some of Dave's riffing and tone. This is a col little tribute amp stack if you are a fan of Megadeth or Dave's work. This is a solid state amp and no tubes are involved.

OVERALL OPINION

This amp come sin new right at around 4399 which is a good price for a signature amp stack. This is not a full stack and not something that you would use as a recording amp or on stage at gigs. this is a a fun practice amp that has Dave's name on it as well at his favorite tones for Megadeth.
