Mexico Start, 21 frets, 3 single Tex Mex, 5 position switch, handle and maple fingerboard, alder body. Worn as is fashionable these days. I was initially trying the dug-out, wear the pre-made factory irritated me, I thought it was a useless ... This being so, the marketing stunt is excellent.
Handle end, the worn look makes it very pleasant, like a good old race played a long time. Full of fungi on the body, scratches, varnish is dull. In short, it was the war that shovel ...
The knobs are cts, I am amazed!
Black version, maple fingerboard, white plate a fold all fucked, finally ... yellow! J'adoooooore!
Mine is very light, it's great, but beware, it varies from guitar to UATRE.

UTILIZATION

The hoop is really neat, nothing to say. The neck is super nice, and the frets are very sweet 6105, and I prefer them to fret thin that we usually encounter on vintage strats typed. For cons, I bought this guitar secondhand from broc n roll in Nimes (the best mag in France), she had me a few months does one say in a week and I have more marked the frets that the previous owners with a big! It's true I attack the strings like a mammoth, but still, I will talk to them or not wear in a few months

SOUNDS

The sounds are clear and crunch ... excellent, and all the microphones! I never really liked the sound stratum in these price ranges, I've always found or too flat or too hard (bright ugly). There, the highs are dull (in a good sense), the mids are present and music. Excellent surprise! It sounds.
Volume and progressive tones, its very dynamic, it's really a good strat. The sustain is good, even if it is not an LP, the holding of understanding is correct. The classic sounds strat interpositions are there, we are in full Hendrix, SRV, Red Hot ... etc. Eric Johnson with the same tone at 3-4, one would think! The Tex Mex Start pickups are excellent!
It's a guitar guy, a light coat when you go up the gain.
So, I replaced by a sharp tone zone S which was hanging in a drawer to show, we'll keep the very "flexible", very dynamic sound, without the side hard (and painful for me) a lot of strats, and we gain saturation presence in what has been lost in the crunch and clear on this microphone. Maybe I'll come back to the original config of these 4 ...

edit of 28.10.10: changed to a plate hss smashes built to accommodate suhr dsv acutely in place of the DiMarzio Tone Zone S. .. I love strats with a double black top! initially a little disappointed, I found it a bit dry, then after a few weeks, I had to get used to it, have a blast with! say that I almost sold this microphone! excellent on this guitar, goes very well with the simple original tex mex. A real dynamic, it has not eaten the character of the stratum. Very versatile, I like the crunch on the guitar, sometimes with a little overdrive to play more and more hairy! I'm still happy. A real good strat stratum for the price of a mid-range.

OVERALL OPINION

A real pleasant surprise, especially for the price of opportunity. A real good strata, type sounds old, I was back in the mag to look, I'm leaving with a super dug without me bleed ... Is what I spent 1000 € for a new one? Maybe not, because in these prices, we have a big choice in hand and we begin to tease that new strats tataient € and the 1500 +.
After the eternal debate, is what is more better than most strats more expensive? Dunno ... Mine sounds really well, it's a really good Start with character, where I think the Mex, classic player and others are lacking and "midrange" ... Not this one.
In Q/P10/10 secondhand report.
I am a Gibson player (I usually prefer), and there, Fender had me! In 18 years of guitar, Fender is my first! LP are my mouth! are jealous of sal ... uh the ugly!
