I am a drummer and I use these headphones for 3 months to work on CD or audio components to mtronome records.
I used to use the following configuration
- Earplug industry
- AKG 242 with volume table of my background ...
In the beginners I wore the headphone (DT770M) with nothing, with the music not too loud, but its attnuation vis vis the collection's outdoor noise is not linear, good attnuation of acute and m dium, but the bass is Submitted trs. Besides, I have not found anywhere in the CHARACTERISTICS of attnuation band frequencies.
I had the plugs:
- 28 dB serious
- 32 dB medium
- 34 dB acute
total 30 dB (A)
Now for the headphone 35 dB, but it is the rpartition??
At the end of just one hour, the noise became unbearable.
Since I changed my setup, I put the caps but less and less attnuant down and the headphone a little louder, which does not look for it in the Drang cash . I can play longer without much risk or trs prcieuses to my ears, nor for the headphone.
Unfortunately, when I bought it I did not try other, so I can not compare.
Regarding the quality is really excellent, it is prcis, balanced I use for all other applications, computer or movie on TV, but music walkman (it's a little big right m me), making the total loss of voice rpisses!
It is really comfortable and is forgotten.
Other good points are the small adapter jack big jack screw, the carrying case comes with headphone, long cable (3m) and the volume wheel on the wire that quickly becomes practical.
