No knobs for some stuff that u take for granted with other va synths

Price paid

£970

UTILIZATION

Is it easy to use? so-so How is the user interface? awkward How is the manual? could do with an alternative technical version

its pretty solid

SOUNDS

How is the sound quality? fukin amazing ! best ive heard Are the sounds focused on a particular genre of music? techno trance and dnb How are the effects?one global reverb /delay is limiting if u dont have your own outboard fx. i have so it doesnt bother me at all

OVERALL OPINION

Although it has a few little annoying menu systems the sound just makes me want to cream my pants!!!!!!

As i am new to Hardware synths i cant really give a fair rating on this one. Up untill now i havent thought of anything it doesnt have, so its perfect, so far!!!

Price paid

£970

UTILIZATION

The manual is DUTCH to me, but never used a hardware synth before. The user interface is a bit small and fuck a bouty, but then i suppose you could use the Sounddiver program that comes with it. I have had it a month now and i know where everything is in the menus and feel very comfortable flitting through them at the speed of shit off a shovel. I think the manual lets it down.

Its well solid, buttons are gritty and solid feeling, and i now have mines in the rack so no probs there.

Psychadelic trancers love machine, a bit limited on real music instrument sounds. That is until i download the FREE PATCHES!!!!

Everything's okay for me except a missing user definable arpeg and more patch slots. Some people complain about the lack of individual reverb/delay but i don't think it is a problem since there are exernal & plugin FX.... it's a great synth! DOT

Price paid

1850 Euro

UTILIZATION

At the beginning we miss a lot of things since they are into the menus but with time, we get used to the menus & shortcuts and we don't ever think about that, it becomes s natural that u forget u wishes. The manual I got is good, printed in english and covers every aspect of the synth.

SOUNDS

Great sounds from every kind from basses to leads to strings..... offers a wide range of possibilities and can easily replace other synths.. btw, since the day i got it haven't used my bass station & VSTi yet

OVERALL OPINION

Lack of programmable arpeggio patterns ( like it really matters ) and mabey more variation on the usable effects. Aside from that, it fat as hell.

Price paid

£ 950 ( Indigo 2 ltd edition redback )

UTILIZATION

The manual could do with some graphic representation and better tutorials.

It probably is robust enough but I have to be a bit sceptical about the robustness of the 3 octave keyboard.

SOUNDS

Definately without a doubt a full 10 once you explore the range of possibilities from rediculously fat and filthy bass sounds, to light airy fairy pads and strings.

OVERALL OPINION

Totally in love ..... forever ( who isn't ? )
