I bought this product there are at least five years, so this is the first version (not the case in all black, but I do not know if there is a real difference apart from the color).

The connection is pretty well supplied.
I use a packard bell easynote LJ65 XP, no problem.

UTILIZATION

Few times it took me to reinstall the drivers because did not recognize the card, but whenever we go again niquel. This should happen once every two years on average. It is fairly stable as a product.
Podfarm software, at least the free version so light is quite honorable. While we mess a bit to find a good sound as presets provided are a bit lousy but worth the cost to look to find it sounds very good.

GETTING STARTED

The implementation is simple, it plugs into a USB port you open the software and you can play, it is very simple and it works.

I use this product for at least five years. Never a failure, never a problem and yet it has come a long way, he fell many times. The knobs do not always spit. No false contact. It's really tough.

Currently I'm on a mac book pro 15 inch i7 and all bazard but it works really bad ... Being in Montain lion ... Line 6 has not updated these drivers. Otherwise ca before I was on a PC ASUS Core 2 Duo with 4GB of DDR2 ram and ca walked really well.

With which instruments or systems (console, preamp, DtD ...) you use it and how connections?

The price / quality ratio I agreed. Now, perhaps there are cheaper and equally effective for the choice ... so, I think so based on what the competition offers.

I use it outside the studio where the gear is necessarily more advanced and better quality for shooting fast guitar or singing but he would fit right in a small home studio for really reliable.

GETTING STARTED

Drivers for Mac and PC, no worries. When the PC is off, you have the right to a big "pop" from the speakers, it is better so do not forget to turn off the speakers BEFORE the PC. Apart from that, no complaints.

you can hear its sound thanks to my sequencer live. I use it under seven with 8GB of memory RAM SSD with a hard disk of 60 gb. PC configured fixed by a professional.

drivers are stable and updated XP, Vista and Seven. I used to live with ableton.

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using for years, it was only by against my external audio card for now. What I like most is its amp models, what I like least is its side like a little black plastic box and plastic chrome knobs.
I put 7/10 because it is a good value for money especially used.
I would do this choice without hesitation ...

This is an entry level recording interface with two XLR inputs, two quarter inch instrument inputs, and two quarter inch line in's. It has a head phone jack, also quarter inch. It has two analog quarter inch outs and a Spdif digital out. There are two footswitch controls and a stereo monitor in. It connects via USB, and supplies phantom power. The interface comes with Pod Farm software which is a modeling plug in. It also comes with Ableton Live Lite, and Reason Adapted.

I bought this unit from an ebay store for $189. I shopped for many different units but I felt this was the best thing for a beginner to learn to record on. It came with everything I needed, software and all, to get started and learning the basics.

It is very easy to use. All you have to do is plug in, make sure you have the right input selected and record. The setup was easy as well. If you are using the Ableton software that was included, it guides you through to get the interface set up. If you have your latency settings set right, the interface has very small latency even when you are recording a processed signal. The Pod Farm plugin has some neat sounding presets and you can get some decent sound by tweaking EQ. The controls are very easy to use as well. Both of the mics have a gain control and there is a headphone level and an output level. The phantom power button is clearly labeled. Once you figure out how to use reason, it is also a powerful program. Each program is only a trial version but they all are very usable to start out.

I wish you could select the input you are recording with on the interface itself and not in a program. It also needs to be able to record inputs simultaneously. This isn't really a complaint for the interface, but they could have included a tutorial on how to use Reason with Albeton.

It seems to be built very well. I haven't had any trouble with it yet. There isn't much else to say here.

I think this is the best little package you can get for $200 or less. It has everything you need to get started and is fairly easy to use. You certainly wont end up with Pro Tools professional recording but it is a great way to learn.

I struggled to run the sound card for a simple reason: there is no manual included with the interface.

The point of this little ngatif sound card is that it does not possde MIDI input / output, but line6 will come out with a version Intgr midi keyboard, which I strongly believe, will carton if the product remains in the same price.

the highlight is that it possde 2 XLR inputs & 2 instrument inputs with a USB connection for less than 200!

the amp simulation is gniale to play electric guitar or bass 2am 'without rveiller neighbors!

dcrochage of the drivers is a bit Gnant. has just snapped my speakers every time, that's what scared me the most.
Briefly, the gain TonePort be more stable.

this is not the general hardware, manufacturing is plastic, we feel that it is a cheap product, but since I have (about 4 months), I had no fault or dtrioration of hardware.

If you need a sound card all in one, it's probably the right choice. This card provides a capable sound card ASIO (almost) properly manage the recording guitars and bass and vocals.
The ability to connect a condenser microphone (the presence of the 48v power supply) was a key point for me, the Guitar Port - the same manufacturer - which I had previously not allowing this kind of connection.
PC Config: Athlon 2GHz, 1.5GB ram, 200GB disk. As the standard.

GETTING STARTED

The drivers are stable and regularly updated (via Line6 Monkey) but requires an Internet connection on the PC on which the UX2 is installed. Latency is average. With a buffer to 256 we get 10ms input latency and 15ms output. Sufficient for recording in real time.
I regularly use from 15 to 20 tracks simultaneously without any real problem. It becomes complicated when there are many VST and / or VSTi. 5 tracks beyond the direct effects monitoring in CubaseSX - if only one uses VST (i) a small amount of memory - becomes a problem and must juggle the "freeze".
Guitar simulation side, I stay on familiar ground (eg user GuitarPort). At first, the sounds appear to be excellent. In fact, the presets are inmixables. Too many effects kills the effect. The distortions are correct, but lower than other products (NI GuitarRig2 for example). Adding packages (paid on the Line6 site) compensates somewhat weak simulations delivered basis. For bass, that's okay too, but do not expect to hear the "baoum" who spin the guts with the simulation of the Ampeg. Amplification of the voice side, I am a bit skeptical. OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about 6 months. The advantages are many: all in one, good build quality, scalable ... but want to do everything, do everything you end up moderately. Simulations (amp / speakers / effects) guitars and basses are decent but not stunning (over time) and pre-amps are cheap votes.
That said, less than 200 €, it's already a miracle to have it all in a small black box and red and there is very little equivalent products on the market. For smaller budgets, like me and you can be, it remains the best quality / price ratio.

By combining a track "real" guitar (amp socket SM57) + 1prise "virtual amp" by doubling them, I can sound nice compared to the means at my disposal.
