In the era, what motivated my purchase, c'tait the good reviews of audiophile PCI, and then of course the mobile use USB because I had just bought a laptop. The laptop in question is a Dell Inspiron 5100, Pentium IV 3 GHz, 1 GByte RAM and HDD 5400 rpm. Before buying the laptop, I verifies that he had an Intel chipset to avoid problems of compatibility with the card.

UTILIZATION

I had some small problem installing but overall it went well ...

GETTING STARTED

So we come to the heart of the matter: I can not recommend purchasing this card, and this is the time you take me dernire buy a M-audio. The card works well for a few hours trs, and then inevitably, I have a blue screen of death. My squenceur Tracktion is (not warez), but I also tried it with cubase: Ms. problem. I am sure the drivers are bugged because I have a GuitarPort (thus also USB) it works perfectly. So I shut Reduces use the ASIO drivers of GuitarPort ... Straw!

OVERALL OPINION

I do not ever do it again though sr choice, and I no longer trust M-Audio ASIO drivers to provide stable. Ms. Line 6 GuitarPort Russia with their best, so it's not really their mtier. Now I have an Edirol FA-66 (firewire) and I never had a problem APRS several months of daily use.
With hindsight, it is better to just over plutt than playing poker with M-Audio.
