With the Modartt Pianoteq I came to realize a few things with it, first of the sounds are great and there is no denying that. Second, you will have a lot of control over the sounds and the way the piano’s sound. But its more like a plug in within a plug in if you know what I mean. Like if you where using Kontakt or some other vst and it had a piano section, that’s kind of what this felt like. It didn’t give me the wow factor and it was more like a typical vst. Some good things about it is that its vey light on your cpu and doesn’t use much. That’s because it’s not a big program or vst at all. It opens very easy and loads quick, I really wouldn’t say that this is the best Piano plug in or even compared to the best piano plug in because there are so many of them out that sound so much more natural. Plus when I was searching I couldn’t find a free trial version of this so buying it made me a little upset after words and I wasn’t a happy customer. If you havent used anything piano plug ins you probably wont understand what im saying but if you want a good piano than this will work for you. If you want a great piano then look in some of the other high end virtual piano’s that are on the market.

The Modartt Pianoteq was created a few years ago so maybe that’s why there are some small issues with it but they may have upgraded it by now or released a new version of it. But there are so many regular synth vst’s that have piano’s just like this there really isn’t even a reason to buy this if you can buy one of those vst’s and get some synths with it.

I played with the demo some time, participated in forums, posted a demo file to listen to history ...
The expression is excellent, you feel a fairly natural playing, as opposed to sampled pianos I've experienced (mostly artvista and banks free sample played with samplers).
It's also nice to load the piano in 2 seconds while a bank will take three samples of lead, also nice not to stumble on consumption processor / memory large banks of samples.

The only downside for me, the sound itself, which is still a chouilla digital (still better than a digital piano, I owned a yam p90) ... it feels more life to this level with the samples, and we are still far in all cases the printing game on a real piano sound in terms of rendering ...
I hope this will be improved over time, it is in any case this has stopped my desire to buy (besides the price a bit much for what I consider, therefore, I hope +++... a beta version that will grow).

Convenience Finally, I regret a preset bank richer, with the desire to emulate a number of very good piano, it's a plug in work before play, so I'm looking for also some immediacy, not a tool Programming ...

Extraordinary is the very first time trying APRS Akoustik piano, Synthogy, The Grand 2,. a piano is my purpose. Finally a piano that has trsralistes pp and ppp is the only one. In my view the medium and high grades are fairly well made in all the above deficits, but the last one Vst piano ultra ultra lightweight curling the beginning ism

Not to mention the many opportunities to act on some paramtres sounds and a few gadgets like noise pedals, ie not terrible terrible ...

I think I'll buy it ...

That's it purchased and I have no regrets ...
Personally, APRS test direct play without lag, there are some records for something a tail vritable piano (Steinway Yamaha plutt that ...) and I speak knowingly.

I only regret that do not precisely simulate some great Steinway, Bosendorfer (which is sometimes recognized at Eastwest (B290) or why not Fazioli ...
rating 9 / 10, because if it is currently by far the best in the Contents, it is not perfect yet ... Is a piano numrique (as in Pianoteq is one) will ever be confused with an instrument vritable, I doubt it ... and that's good.

What is so special that you like most and least?

The game ... dynamics realistic ... without frustration .... answering fingers and almost eye! Made to measure the steinmaha via faziodenfer by setting convincing many parameters ... effective. a velocity curve that fits your game, with great accuracy and realism. No more worries in concerts, the cracks ... the great silences plops ... .... and the remarks of friends amused

With experience, you do again this choice? ...

I waited as some of us out announced in January 2007, media attention and enticing a competitor's "real piano". After some tests the sentence fell: I reduced my hard drive not seuleument a demo version, but also much heavier in bookstores gigas ... Pianoteq ... small but tough!

I use the BMD for a few days and I am very impressed with the rendering of the plug.
Perhaps we will be criticizing her in some records (top mdium a little synthetic), but all tests I have tried in comparison (dernirement the EastWest Bosendorfer 290) no piano Sampl does not support the comparison, either the sound is cold and mtallique or it is excellent but the heaviness of the bank cre cracking making unbearable use with other plugs on a BCAN mid-range (1.67 GHz G4 Powerbook 1.5GB Ram, external hard drive with Firewire 800 when 7200tr same ...).
Here you load sounds IMMEDIATE, your processor is free to run a lot of other plugs, and you play with an expression that the only limit, in addition to the quality of your master keyboard, your level of play is short, no stress live, fun playing, and fun listen, because the sound here is warm and alive.
The software will s'amliorer MODEL is empty, and therefore support Modartt Pianoteq. Sre is a value based on a technology economy in CPU resources and may do more increasingly difficult to sample in time to come ...

01/02/2007: I just bought version complte by participating in the "Group Buy" organized a few days ago the site of the publisher. In addition to a good economy the price of the plug, I can confirm today the standard quality of this gear. An update to major Pipelines Limited in April, with amliorations audio engine and various embellishments. Must.
