Toontrack is in a Jamaican mood these days, and after its EZmix 2 presets library, they are launching today a reggae kit for EZdrummer 2.
Reggae EZX features two customized drum kits with multiple snares: a Yamaha Stage Custom and a 1970 Premier kits, both with alternate tuning and damping for the tom sets. The kits are completed with percussions and traditional hand drums as well as preset chains for different music styles. A selection of MIDI grooves is also available.
The kits were recorded at the Rub-A-Dub Studios in Stockholm, Sweden (just like the EZmix pack) with vintage gear and a 1970s Soundcraft Series II console.
Reggae EZX is available for 69€, note that it is only compatible with EZdrummer 2. More info at www.toontrack.com.
You can also complete the collection with Reggae Beats MIDI, available for 25€ and featuring MIDI rhythms played straight and shuffle in 4/4 at tempos ranging from 100 to 148 BPM. The library is organized in beats, fills and intro fills and is optimized for one kick, one snare, two toms, a floor tom, two crashes and a ride cymbals in EZdrummer 1 and 2 as well as Superior Drummer 2.
