Abletunes, the ressources website for Ableton Live users, announces the availability of its very first plug-in, the Selektor drum sampler.
Selektor is a VST and AU plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows 32 and 64-bit. The the drum sampler/player is designed to help you quickly switch between one shot samples while you are playing a track, and thus choose the most appropriate drum sound for your project. You only need to load the plug-in into a new MIDI track.
According to Abletunes, Selektor is a time saver, for you don’t need to search all you drum files and folders and waste time listening to the samples one by one. With a single click, you will change in the plug-in the drum samples within context. You can also save and compare up to 4 samples via tabs. You can also control the level, pan, transpose, attack, decay, sustain and release of the samples.
Selektor ships with a library featuring 58 kicks, 40 snares, 26 claps, 29 hi-hats and 18 digital percussions. You can then complete it with your own samples.
