With my config, no worries really. It is stable, but I've never been to Taque opportunities although I tried multis 8 sounds without encountering bp. Careful, though, because even qd Omnisphere is resource intensive.

OVERALL OPINION

2 years since I use is really top, then I have not been in the womb, the possibilities are enormous. However, I tested well aligned with Stylus RMX that fits in grooves making it a perfect complement.
The value for money is excellent, I remake this choice 100 times.

The great power synth Omnisphere from Spectrasonics combines the beauty of acoustic sounds with a more digital one.
It has a lot of deep and great built-in sounds.The typical functions are relatively easy to use for those that want to take a built-in sound and use it in their own mix.

What's really amazing about this power synth is it's high quality sounds and stability.
I have been using this synth for a while and i haven't encountered any errors during it's use. It works on a professional level.
This synth really helped me during the years to find the rich sounds that I've used in some classical music.


OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about it are the great features like timbre shifting, dual mode filter structure , harmonia and the amazing build-in patches that make our life much easier as music producers. I also enjoy the fact that if you're more into building your own sounds and you're a great sound engineer you can create your own sounds.
The library provided by Omnishpeere is one of the most professional , high quality that i ever had the pleasure to work with.
The price is great for such a great synth , it costs around 500$ , but belive me , it's really worth the money.
With this professional type synth you will create something great for the music world.
I've tried several other models before getting omnishpere, and guess what, I stuck with it, I'm using it almost every day and I can't really describe the impact it has on my work.

Omnishpere is compatible as well with mac osx and xp/7.

You should try it for it's great effects, racks, chaos envelopes , patches, all the great layering and for the sounds that it provides. Without a doubt I would buy this program over and over again if I would have to , right now there isn't a more developed type of synth on the market.

Installation is very long .. I remember that it took almost four hours to install everything, configure, and allow the software.

No incompatibilities detected in Logic Pro 9: Omnisphere is immediately apparent as in AU plug-ins

Any performance issues with multi omnispheres used, or 8 patches, plus a multi stylus.
The configuration is very stable in Logic Pro (no crash in 2 years)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for + / - 2 years.

As:
- Sounds! it takes months to discover all the sounds and their wealth. The sounds are both complex, deep, realistic and breathtaking!
The sounds of voice / choir are to die for, as are sets of strings. The textures are ultra rich and varied, and not repeated almost never as the envelopes are complex .. Add to this function Orb, which allows to change parameters of the sounds in real time via an Iphone.
The guitars are very successful, and one could almost feel the touch of the strings by touching the keyboard.
Once familiar with the grain 'Omnisphere' key and the Eric Persing, you will often find patterns in the U.S. music series or recent movies.
In addition, the synthesizer is so complete, that to move a few sliders will throw up a new sound! So the possibilities are endless.
- The arpeggiator: an intelligent use of arpeggiator can give exceptional results: simple patterns can become a rhythmic tempo that clings to the tempo of Logic Pro. The factory presets ARP & rhythm 'best use the arpeggiator.
- Mode, Multi Live, which allows for a benefit on stage with 8 aggregate or individual patches, and the 'latch' can "hold" a sound (eg a web or a wind effect) while playing another sound, and it also allows quantizer in real time.
- Who owns the trilogy (stylus, Trilian and omni), the 3 apps integrate seamlessly with each other, and allow for rapid composting and very pleasant


the least:
- Some patches are so complex that they can quickly saturate a piece .. see: some patches are pieces alone! and the novice musician will have a false sense of creation, when he does qu'enfoncer 3 or 4 keys!
- Brass and piano sounds (but this is not the purpose of the software)

I would do without hesitation that choice .. Omnisphere is my soft bedside. It will take a long time to have done the trick.
I often use it as a basis of inspiration by exploring the patches at random .. Omnisphere but always comes to the point where I need analog tablecloths, Lead and moog sounds weird and original.

The installation and, especially, the updates, are a bit complicated, starting with the fact that Spectrasonics offers different updates for the software itself, the presets and for the sound libraries. But everything works fine once we've gotten pass that.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I use it on a Dual Core with 6 GB RAM and have never had an issue under Windows 7 64-bit / Cubase 6. That said, I generally use one or two patches per song at most, so it's not very indicative.

OVERALL OPINION

I've used it for two years now and I must confess that I'm really fascinated by the software, even if it only use it rarely. Why? Because it sounds huge and its sounds are sometimes so complex that they are more than enough by themselves. It is often hard to try to incorporate them in a song.

During mixdown, you will have to cut a lot with the EQ (especially in the low end). And, to compose, it seems that the best you can do with Omnisphere is start from scratch with one of the presets and see where it takes you... But we must also admit that an Omnisphere layer and a Stylus groove are enough to make a song, which can be exciting and frustrating at the same time...

Loaded with processing and modulation possibilities, the software is nevertheless not the most user-friendly, in my opinion. Its interface with multiple panels make it unnecessarily complicated and might end up discouraging beginners or will make them stick to presets, which, then again, are admirable.

This is without a doubt an inspiring instrument whose sounds have a lot of personality. But that's not always what you are looking for...

Omnisphere is basically a large workstation-like synthesizer that just happens to include a gigantic sample library. Using multiple types of oscillators, filters, effects and modulation routing, you can create almost any kind of sound imaginable. Not only that, but you can stack multiple patches together in multi mode (told you it was like a workstation) for uber-large presets. The built-in arpeggiator is pretty neat, and the included FX like reverb, chorus, compression, distortion, delay, etc. can not only be used at the patch level but can be used at the post-multi mixer level in four different aux channels plus the master.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The manual is attached to the synth. For this kind of money, a printed manual would be very helpful (and the "saving trees" thing is really getting old). At the very least, a PDF file that could be re-sized and perused at your leisure (AND PRINTED) would be nice. Instead, you have to have an instance of Omnisphere open to read anything about it.

OVERALL OPINION

Sounds are amazing, some of the best I have heard from a software synth. inspirational, crystal clear with deep thunderous basses, shining washes, eerie graybrooding atonal clouds, searing synth leads, indescribable sonic vistas, all you could ever want or need.

Overall, I thought the interface would be a little more intuitive, it is not. Also, the search function is not as useful as the videos would have you believe, the cutesy names do not allow for generic searches in all instances, ie; I accidentally changed a cool rock guitar patch I was using and tried to find it again with no luck. It was a guitar sound but never came up under a "guitar" search. I also tried to type in the name or parts of it (as I remembered them) and no luck. But besides the confusion of finding patches, I have no complaints. Amazing software.

The app is very CPU intensive.
It produces good results great, sounds fantastic, especially those in category phsychoacoustique, but it's very very CPU intensive. I use Omnisphere with EWQL Platinum and frankly, to do the freeze often or frequently export mainly 24 bits.

I have two machines, a Mac and a PC, and as many on the Mac no problem, but on the PC .... you have to wait a little until the interface launches the first time you instantiate the DAW is not fantastic at this level, but it's a small disadvantage compared to the quality of soft.

You have to be patient but it's worth.
Easy to use and much more interesting to create their own patches qu'atmosphere. The last album was damn good sound but frankly did not interest me what I wanted to do and all of the interface, ultimately did not want to customize the sounds.

I have a G5 2x2 gghz with 4 gigs of ram, it turns correctement.Mais is greedy.
I work on Logic and so far I have not had any problems.

OVERALL OPINION

From this output, I use it in addition to Tassman AAS, AAS String Studio and an Ocean Harp to the sounds of percussion (marimba, klogenspiel ...), string ... to give a color "Acoustic" and strange.
This is not to try to find the actual sounds and classical, although the Sample Rate is a superb quality. But to take these sources and the Take affected countries in original sound.
Mix it with sounds more synthetic sounds (Machinedrum, Reaktor, Evolver, V-synth) is a pure joy. And greatly enriched the sound space.

Implemented without problem: 6-disc about an hour, it is long but your exact poustouflant.

This software was installed on an HP laptop, the first disc in the plug-in steinberg and the rest on an external hard drive.
Problem: I bought a small external hard drive 80 GB (for 50 Omnisphre Attributes) and reinstalled everything on it. When I tried to open the program, an error message appeared: "The drive or network connection design for the shortcut 'STEAM.INK is not available. Check that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available and try again. "
I'm going to beat a dead horse to find a solution to use my small hard drive instead of the big studio but in the meantime I'm trying to shake ds DIFFERENT patches.
Version adj changed since January 14. We must therefore make the update.

I bought this program two weeks ago and use it takes me all my free time because as the slogan says: you will not have enough of your life to use it!

Here I am passing here ... I envy and give my opinion on Omnisphere: it's 4 or 5 years it's great galley mao, because of the passage for the intel macs on the famous processor. Since one month I use Omnisphere.
the sounds are very true to be very present (I record in 24 bits)

I have all the virtual intruments in spectra Rmx, Trilogy, Atmosphere, and this one is top notch (50 GB of sounds?? whouaaaa)

great price for a great synthesizer, and without regret I will buy more if there is one day. Trilian I catch it when you get out of your nose tip.

No problem. Installation is simple extrment, as always with Spectrasonics. The Systm for obtaining keycode via the website is perfect and the problem quickly due to crashes of drivers and other key ilok synchrosoft. However, we must be patient: I have more than 6 hours to install the DVD 6. Fortunately, the procedure can be made in installments, the installation of each DVD as indpendante other.
Please note that updates are available on the Spectrasonics website. They are essential (a lot of sound and still more) and very easy installation.

GRANDIOSE!
There is frankly nothing more to say. The Bank of patches 4000 is a variation on impressive there for every taste with a quality sound phnomnale. Traditional instruments sound just to rev the majority and the synths are simply beautiful, deep, full of motion. A beginners will find his account: total immersion ds THE FIRST note played with ... one finger! The composers are more experienced rgaleront before the possibility of modulation effects and much more numerous and powerful than "Atmosphre".
I particulirement the care taken to the classification of patches and give information on each of them (what a job!) For his dcrire utilistaion or recording mode. Well done! I know of no other plugins dmarche a t o this leads.
The interface as it heals trs. Buttons and menus fall easily to hand. I just wish that the window is not just to avoid more bars dfile the long tedious. Given the current notches, there was room ...
In conclusion, I would say that this plugin is certainly expensive, but it makes so many other deprecated. It is my plugin synth the most complete, most modern and most successful of the market. I’ve used this in Logic Pro 8 and 9, in 32 and 64 bit mode without a problem.
I have a Mac Pro 2.66 Quad Core with 8 GB of ram and a White Macbook with Intel Core 2 Duo Cpu with 4 GB of Ram.
The installation is really easy and the the manual is well written.

The software reacts really well, however to use its full potential you need to have at least 4 gb of ram. With 8 gb and in 64 bit it works like a charm.

OVERALL OPINION

I've buyed and demoed a lot of virtual and hardware synths over the years.
I've also had an Access Virus TI polar, but I wanted a simpler and more cost effective setup.
I've used, absynth, Massive, Predator and a lot of other until I found Omnisphere.
I can simply say that it covers everything you will ever dream about a Synth, and also beyond that point.
From Reversed Piano, to full on aggressive Industrial Leads, it covers all the ground.
The synth engines, the fx, the preset manager, etc. all in this Virtual Instrument screams "Top Notch Quality".
Don't be discouraged by the price, the first five minutes you will use it, you will want to sell everything else in your keyboard arsenal.

The setup is simple if you take the time to view the excellent tutorials on spectrasonics.com

No problems of incompatibility.

The manual is secondary when you understand the various tutorials.

OVERALL OPINION

Omnnisphere is one of my first VSTi for PC and the least we can say is that the quality / sound is exceptional when compared to the hardware / machine.
For example, the Sons "Human Voice" are to die for! a real choir on hand and the rest is just as beautiful!

If one adds to this, free updates, new "Sound Bank" as The Bob Moog Tribute, you get a really concentrated full and very impressive it will even be "very" typical and characteristic of highly personalized Spectrasonics its almost that difficult to mix with other VSTi.

The "less":
- The samples that slow or increase in ryhtme after you press a note or severe acute (not all samples)
- Arpeggiator "limited" to point to note, you can modify / customize individual notes of the arpeggio.

The "plus"
- A real synth for a very low
- An unbelievable sound quality
- Opportunities for publishing comprehensive
- Very good effects
- The compatibilities of other soft drinks as Trilian or Stylus RMX
- The clear and simple interface

Omnisphere is a VSTi that does not leave you indifferent, a real inspiration to be a very good basis for your compositions!
