Wavesfactory introduces Retro Keys I, a collection of three keyboards from the 70s for the full version of Kontakt.

Retro Keys I is a three-instruments-in-one library:

  • The Compac: an electric piano manufactured by Crumar in 1972 and featuring three piano, honky tonk and clavichord sounds ; noise, envelope and cabinets are also included.
  • The Orchestrator is also a Crumer instrument from 1975 that combines an electric piano and a string machine with a brass simulator ; you’ll also find piano, clavichord, violin, cello, bass and brass sounds with switchable vibrato, noise, envelope, cabs and various presets
  • The Organ X55 is a tonewheel model manufactured in the 70s by Elka with 2 keyboards, one drawbar for each, three piano sounds with optional sustain, percussion, two types of vibrato, brillance, rotator, tube drive, cabinets and a selection of presets, some of which with random values.

All the keyboards include a “vintage” option that applies effects for a more retro style (tape distortion, compression, wow, flutter, speed variation).

In total, Retro Keys I offers 540MB of non encrypted WAV 24-bit / 44.1kHz samples. It requires the full version of Kontakt 4 or 5 and is available for the introductory price of 9.95€ instead of 19.95€ until November 1st at www.wavesfactory.com.
