Native Instruments Absynth 3 didn’t surprise me at first glance but after really digging in and using it for a while I got the hang of how it works and how to really change the sounds to the way that I want them to sound. Without needing any knowledge of sound creation or sound design I was able to really get in there and change the parameters of the sounds and make them my own (because I hate having to use presets over and over ) The layout of Absynth 3 isn’t confusing if you have some basic understand of vst’s.


SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Setting it up was really quick, I just inserted the disk and waited a few minutes I actuall think that it updated some online as well just to have the latest tech stuff. I also needed to create an account at NI website when I purchased this.


OVERALL OPINION

Overall, I was very happy to have a program that didn’t confuse me that I can used often and has some really good synths which is what I was looking for. As far as the synths go, I think they could be a little fuller sounding some of them are really thin and I had to fatten them up with some equine and some effects. But the program has worked for me perfectly and hasn’t froze or crashed at all and it doesn’t seem to look like it will. Also, I run multiple versions of it at the same time and it doesn’t take up to much cpu unless I use some of the presets that are very cpu heavy then you can start to tell. The price for Absynth 3 isn’t cheap at all , if you are looking for a cheap vst look around online and don’t just go buy this one. It will take a little time to understand and you don’t want to invest 300 or more dollars on something that will leave you confused at first.

most: incredible sounds, trs further, we can refine the extreme To create endless tablecloths and modulation effects ...
the least: I look more complicated than the FM7 program ...

- Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
the FM7: diffrent objective of these two synths

Extra! frankly for that price, it was an incredible synth coterait more than 10 times more expensive hardware.

I have no exprience ...

CONCLUSION: I am in love with this synth and I have to. But beware: this is a Premire impression. I believe fate CRER groundwater or loops (like the first records of Klaus Schultze, or accompanying trans etc.).

Important: the sounds seem pretty typs: it would be wise to cost a bit before buying ...

I put 9 / 10 but I RPET: I did not test this keyboard a lot.
If anything should happen to tarnish my Premire impression, I will soon know about this forum.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Test on an athlon 1.8 G Ram 1024 with a sound card EMU1820. I mostly use Absynth in Cubase VST Sx1. It works very well.

OVERALL OPINION

Absynth3 is a worthy successor to two previous versions.

This synth Submitted the advantage of being an effective compromise between the power of a modular synthesizer and ease of use of synthesizer architecture fixed base. Compared with modular synthesizers apps like Reaktor, MaxMSP or PD, sounds can be programmed quickly, it is really intended for the purpose of sound design ..

Among the models of exploitable synthse include:

Additive (3 * 2 tilt (if dual mode))
Subtractive synthesis (several filters can be connected to one of three channels or the master)
FM synthesis (should not expect, however, has connections as complex as the DX7)
Synthesis AM
Synthesis by physical MODEL (With the use of comb filter it is possible to implement the models for waveguide)
Sampling & synthesis by granular synthesis.

The app has a section LFO, LFO or 3 are assignable to different parameters
It is possible to create these waveforms in "drawing" the temporal representation or frquentielle
The envelope section is ULTRA POWERFUL. It is possible to create envelopes very complex (eg rhythm), all synchronized to the tempo of the host software!
Small snag at the noon (must have used some tricks to control certain parameters of synthesis).

I was hooked, I no longer use this synth. It excels for Pad sounds, the rhythmic and noisy digital sound. The sounds are all the same very typs. Finally, this software is not suitable for those seeking sound ready (the stamps are very complex and ill come to be grafted has a composition rich enough already), the interest of absynth lies in the programming of new sounds!

Artistic level, it's my muse. Plupard the sounds I have in my head can be easily CRER with this synth. In addition he has a personal touch very cold quite unique!

The installation is done without any problem.
No known incompatibilities.

OVERALL OPINION

I have since two days, but I 'd dj version BMD test.
The particularity? This is just the sound. Huge, another sound world s' opens before you. It is hard to dcrire all sounds that s' dgagent, if that 's it' s pchu, punchy, soaring, trs end ... sutout and endless.
The edition of presets s' avre quite complex, but not impossible (I'm new to the Contents). Thanks, including tutorials that can be found on the net. Shock thank you.

Installation is no problem and very easy.
Easy to store, like all NI software.
I am running XP and there is no incompabilit.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

My computer: Pentium M 1.7 Ghz and 1 GB ram.
With my config 'turns his nikel.
I use it with vst in Live 5 and I've never had a problem. Absynth also works standalone without problems.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 1 month.
What I like Absynth is that some really amazing sounds out, big bass, good leads, in short, everything we do with this little synth.
The sounds are beautiful if we are given a bit of trouble.
When I first used Absynth, I never imagined how we could tweak
The report price is exellent quality. I have a Virus A (hardware) but I prefer Absynth which offers many more possibilities for sound design.

Nothing missing except a drive knob, which I really wanted.

Price paid: 399$

VERY difficult to use and learn. This synth is a behemoth and I recommend it only for people willing to put in some long hours figuring it out. Again, this is the bucephalus of softsynths, it may be hard to ride but once you master it you can make it do ANYTHING.

Sound quality is supurb. Pretty much the finest DIGITAL sound you can get in a softsynth. The key here is the customization and freedom of design. Put those to use and you can make absynth sound like whatever you want.

Hasn't crashed yet.

OVERALL OPINION

I'm beginning to love it, but nothing passionate. This baby takes some time and TLC hehe
