Frankly, the installation is not the strong point of NI!
I installed Komplete 4 ... 3 whole days to make it work.
No operation VST Plugin certain unrecognized audio dropouts, crashes ...
And to find solutions, we must get the PDF manual in French which is incomplete in many ways, search the forum NI, delving into menus all the Kore software, and even search the site NI, try uninstalling search ...

And finally, a month later, no way to run the software then reinstall ... registration system and the software that tells me that I have already registered the software and must go to the website OR ............

With all that I had to do to make it work, there would be enough to fill the section Tips for AF!

It is normal to protect themselves from piracy, but should not it be at the expense of those who buy the software ... especially when it does not prevent piracy!
Food for thought ...

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

.... ok, but when it works, it's stable!
In this regard, I was surprised by the quality of the audio drivers (ASIO2) that are really stable even at 5ms latency.
Suddenly, the game is really a sound card with a bonus audio quality more than adequate in most cases (home studio and live)

Too bad though that is unbalanced audio inputs (while the outputs are balanced ??!!) So, there are risks to hum especially with long cables.
But hey, at least it's RCA jack and not as some sound cards ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year in my home studio and live. The big advantage is being able to move from a studio in a config config live in minutes. Another advantage is that I swapped all my synths and effects racks for a large hardware + a laptop PC (with some plug of course).
So, I took hours to set before all the hardware (midi and audio), create special sets for live (and make concessions on materials to take), we had to carry everything and cable for live and rewiring in the studio ...

Now live like in my home studio, I have a big rack PC for all audio processing and a laptop to play kore + plugs instruments. My RD 300 SX portable piano and a small 49-key keyboard. And that's all.

For me, a true revolution has started ...
