    UTILIZATION

I love the programmable knobs and faders, it is highly enjoyable in FM7, Reaktor, etc. ...
I like the touch. Please note I am not an expert but I have some test and I must admit that it is done honnte for the price.

Warning: after 6 months and 1 1 fader knob death, after a 2 year dead keys and more

    OVERALL OPINION

    I've had about eight months.
The big problem is that recently a fader and a portard seem dead and a touch Ragit medium (do not pick up touches trslgers).
Although I think I was remake that choice (let's say I have not had any luck).
Without this problem, a 10 would be everywhere.
    Too bad ... …

Now it's two more buttons that do not work.

    The most interresting:
    -Self-powered via USB
The knobs and faders, rotary (gnial with virtual instruments)
    -Templates

    UTILIZATION

Daily the PCR-50 is effective trs, except that it is noisy and rvle trs long unreliable!
I have now for two years and two buttons (C) who died while the use n'tait not heavy! Dception big on that! If one were to me it would change the preferences against a PCR-M50 (even if I prfre gray mtal the PCR-50, which fits well with my PowerBook) .
The worst is that I disassemble the keyboard and the problem does not seem to be really original mcanique! Contactors in rubber and carbon contacts do not appear to uss and for good reason ...

    OVERALL OPINION

APRS 2 years of service low-intensity, the PCR-50 is failing me. While it seemed promising.
However, I was able to do good but with zic from Roland, I could expect more reliable.
The report QualitPrix allchant dpart to be so rvle mdiocre!
At the same era I would do probably this choice because the only offer these c'tait CHARACTERISTICS but probably not today. But I want to do even with the confidence Roland PCR-M50 appears to have t seen the rise in terms of quality and function ...

I'll see if my dealer offered me a recovery against the latter.

At the time of purchase (mabey 2 years ago?) this thing had some of the best features available... compared to today's standards though, it's lacking in a few areas, but still the basic bread and butter and is all you really need. wish it had play, scrub, record, stop, etc. buttons though :

    Price paid

    $230 USD

    UTILIZATION

You can use the editor (download from edirol site), or if you got reason 3, it automatically recognizes it and you don't have to do jack! the interface is a bit cryptic.

this is where i have my gripe with the pcr 50... at first i thought this thing was really good quality, it feels as if it's pretty good, but then the middle black key in the lowest octave stopp…

this is where i have my gripe with the pcr 50... at first i thought this thing was really good quality, it feels as if it's pretty good, but then the middle black key in the lowest octave stopped working. i took a can of air and stuck it right between the keys, dust busted it, and then it worked (sort of) a few months later, that key stoped working despite attempts to clean it.

    OVERALL OPINION

I don't really care. controllers are over rated. gimme one with like 3 knobs and two sliders and a bunch of keys that work and i'm happy.
