Having a MIDI keyboard of this quality mixer with a customizable, pushed me to choose the UF6.

I use it in USB mode and ds The beginning I install version 1.04.

I had no problem during installation.

UTILIZATION

I like his touch and the fact that it is aluminum.

The plastic cts drang me too much. I would see later on if it supports transport rpt shocks or not.
The setup is intuitive and easy trs.
Otherwise use is with my software is hassle free. (Live, hypersonic ...)
I had two or three times a problem of note was freezing, but since the 5.1 days I have no problem.
The ste CME is slow but it is on a war footing to meet their clientle.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it on 24 December 2005.

Acqurir before the UF6, I had a midi keyboard M-audio, Oxygen8, the m. .. in comparison.

The report qualitprix is ​​excellent, however the possibility to add extensions, such as a sound card or firewire card is a piano idegniale.

I remake that choice right now.

MIDI controller with lots of controllers:
-8 + 1 programmable faders fader dedicated volume (!)
-8 Pots multi functions and parameters
-Possible connection of volume and expression pedals
-Aftertouch ...

Only downside: only one configuration memory!
However, I solved the problem:
No. of my controllers do not change and I can just change the settings to change in my machines that have their own memories ... well, do not worry

UTILIZATION

I said that I am using this keyboard to use hardware (not USB, then!).
The various commands are directly accessible on the front (transpose, MIDI channel, split ......) which avoids having to type a long series of functions to access what you need (those who know the Philosophy of M-Audio include ...)

The dial is very convenient and allows a selection of patches and other'oeil in no time.
The manual is very clear (again, unlike other ...), but its use is most useful to set the faders / pots ....

However, this keyboard fishing by an insufficient definition of velocity curves:
frankly it's frustrating, and very accurate .... CME might have include some of +!

OVERALL OPINION

UF6 use my last few months, and really, I do not change any time soon (in fact, I would be annoyed to find a replacement)!

Having had various synths like keypad and a M-audio radium, UF6 I find very convenient, friendly, functional .... and +, it is beautiful (its sides are red blood type Metallic painting: most beautiful effect !!!!)

The build quality is very good: the aluminum hull is stiff, and the pots are nice, the pitch bend and modulation wheels idem, sliding faders and properly with the strength that goes ...

Really, the value is excellent!
Given the price, it's a must buy. And even for highest price, there is not, in my opinion, as good alternative ...
