Taylor introduced at Summer NAMM three limited editions of its 514ce acoustic-electric guitar that will be available in September.
The new Taylor 514ce-CM LTD, 514ce-QS LTD and 514ce-S LTD are Grand Auditorium Florentine (single cutaway) guitars that feature a Sitka Spruce top and hand-selected woods for the back and sides, respectively curly mahogany, quilted sapele and Blackheart sassafras.
Along with their visual aspect, Taylor used curly mahogany for its medium response, quilted sapele for its warmth and projection, and sassafras for its dry, woody response and its articulation.
The three guitars also feature new Capstone inlays on the fingerboard and rosette, an indian rosewood binding and a curly maple edge trim and come equipped with the Taylor Expression 2 preamp/pickup. The instruments received a High Gloss finish and ship in a hard shell. No information regarding the price of these new limited editions that will come to authorized retailers in September.
