A few weeks after its release, Fishman offers the first update for its Triple Play wireless audio and MIDI system for guitar.
The Fishman Triple Play system combines an guitar hexaphonic sensor to a MIDI converter and communicates wirelessly via a USB key that connects to the computer. It will generate synth and other sounds and several features (arpeggiator, loop, neck split…) are available.
The Triple Play update brings more than fifty improvements, including the 64-bit support on Mac and Windows and enhanced performance on Windows 8.
Version 1.1 brings a new patch import/export function between computers, new mixing options that allow for independent control of the Guitar channel and the Synth channels, or the ability for a MIDI pedal to control the output volume (CC80).
GarageBand for iPad app users can now user the pitch bend with ease thanks to a new mode.
Regarding the patch system, v1.1 updates adds the factory patches compatibility with Komplete sounds and the improved hardware support allows for loading a complete list of patches to the controller and the ability to use them in Hardware mode.
The update also adds plug-in support as well as enhanced communication between the system elements, and improved performance with DAWs.
