The EQ adjustments on the rear panel let diffrentes well adapted to the situations. Especially if you are obligs to place nearly a wall or corner. It is all the same prfrable optimize their investment in order to avoid any correction.

SONORITS

These speakers are really clean. Positioned on stands they correctly restaurants account for the entire sound spectrum.
The main default my taste, is the lack of gnac the bottom mdium well as below 60 Hz. But with a SECOND Contrle, ca rolls impeccable.

Good transient, acute purposes.

For stro picture, I still have not figured out how we could have had a bad seats with 2 speakers properly.


NOTICE GLOBAL

Now a few months of use.
For the price I do not know where to find better.

I also have Focal CMS, Yamaha did not blush.

I chose these monitor speakers after listening to the dealer.
I wanted to test the yamaha because I kept very good memories of NS10,
and for use in home studio pretty basic, like me, this is pretty good

SOUNDS

The sound is pretty accurate overall with a slight lack in bass frequencies at low volumes.
Good momentum, but its a bit flattering nonetheless.

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for 3 years, after using Mackie, Genelec and Yam NS10.
My first choice would have been Genelec again, but not the same budget.
Value / price very satisfactory overall.
I think they really stand out clearly in the same price range (there 3 years)
Unless it is out of better things since I certainly would do this choice with respect to the budget. The best is still to check with a good dealer and compare all the models in stock, armed with a cd that we know well to make his choice.

Purchased in 2013 for my home studio, associated with 01V96i and Cubase.
Excellent monitor speakers, they leave nothing happen. I had trouble with the headset, the result was never consistent with my expectations at a replay on speakers living or radio. There are no surprises when it sounds with these speakers it's all good everywhere.
Attention to the bass reflex positioned at the rear, do not put them too close to the wall (if you can operate a low-cut button provided for this purpose, but suddenly it changes the frequency response).

SOUNDS

Good frequency response, with very fine treble and good hot coffee. Even with bass sounds.
The sound seems very clean, excellent dynamics.
A pure delight.

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for a few months, it has totally changed my way of working in the studio. After presetting the headphone (often roaming), I conclude systematically finalization mix with these speakers. The result listening on any other system still meets my expectations.

I bought them because for that price, there is not much choice if you want speakers 8 inches.
I used everything in my home studio .. Composition hip hop, electro, listening to music ...
It is connected directly to a sound card as they are amplified.

SOUNDS

I like the sound is very clear to me, the stereo image allows me very correct (coming from someone who has not tried hundreds of pairs either!) Spectrum appears respected me but lacks good on low natural dison below 60Hz .. This also comes acoustics of my room I guess.

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for about 3 years and I have directly compared with Krk Rockit and Behringer B2031 .. There is no picture in Krk side were extremely bad, unclear drafts, cartoning and behringer sounded very hifi (boosted bass, stereo .. not very clear).

What I like most is that it is a very good introduction to the world of monitor speakers, they are still really nice (yes it counts!) And they never have me created any problems.

WHAT I LIKE THE LESS AND YOU SHOULD KNOW:
The woofers are not protected and seem fragile, basically there must be really gaffe is on but I guess it's better to have protection above .. The vents are at the back so if they are too close to a wall is not great because it takes all the pressure that comes out ..

I highly recommend it if they are for a home studio with a sound not perfect because they work well and anyway it will not do absolutely nothing to have the most expensive speakers in this case .. If it is for a mixing studio PRO with perfect acoustics and much larger budget it will not be probably the right choice (or maybe in the second pair of listening ..). Then I also think it is important to get the ear of pregnant like that .. A bit like learning to drive a classic car and not a ferrari ..

For that price yes I referrer that choice, for 500 € and with a much cleaner I leave on events, Genelec, Dynaudio or Focal acoustic ...

I wanted a pair of monitoring in a tight budget but not too bad, because they would be my first monitor speakers.
Browsing several forums and reviews some pro they seemed perfect for my budget especially as I found almost 300 € new pair!

SOUNDS

I find fairly flat response curve and do not flatter the bass. Well placed they offer a good specialization and good rendering of mediums high mids and treble, the dynamic is rather very well respected ... well I'm so used to them that his work is a real pleasure over and above I make pretty good mix with "my taste" to be modest

OVERALL OPINION

I utlisie for 2 years now and after a period of adaptation everything becomes clear and precise and frankly at this price point I would do the same choice, I tried krk Rokit 6 but too low and others, the quality report price is simply deadly ... my next choice will be the focal solo 6 ... but we need to save money!

Yamaha reputation in the field.
Used with a subwoofer yamaha yst-sw 320 for audiovisual mixing and music.

Pregnant pretty flat compared to BX8 some Genelec or that flatters many but prevents a critical work.

The stereo image is satisfactory.

OVERALL OPINION

Used for 7 years, I find the price / quality ratio very interesting, especially as it is found in the 400 euros a pair.
Mine are like new despite their age, whether it is neat it gives the impression of being able to last 30 years

I bought them for their value to the mix and mastering, isolate myself when I go somewhere to compose or mix, and "in my Nana" (small room). With my macbookpro, my fireface800, uad, (no amp). Sure not to leave anything to chance on the perceived frequency of a beautiful beach, not too mention the bass, without forcing (I can compare my post on Adam).

True yes. In the frequency range (low-) medium to high end, nothing escapes them. Practice for analyzing sound mix for balance (and mastering). Ideal for handling details. Allows good équas. / Basses: to dissect these frequencies.
Neutral: it can not say, however I do have never found that to be quite. Advantage to "clear" rather than the top-medium. (But is that a bad bet?) No "flattering" for low (logical, given their size and design).
For balance, adding a subwoofer is recommended, and above all determined.
The dynamic is ok, softer under 120Hz and above 8500-9000.
These are not monitors for the sound or made to "fill" a space or give a hi-fi eh ...
Positioning: I do not teach you anything ... Avoid preferably wall edges (more vents are at the back), (especially for such monitors) corners and an abundance of metal or glass in the room, tiles, floors stone hard ... to good listening height (that of your ears), (... humidity of the room there, especially not smoke, ...) etc.. But not so hungry air, not too bad surprise min 50 cm walls. (By 1.20m).

It's been two years and I use "tring'balle."
Robust (being very careful) Internal Amplifiers: ample power. "Punchy" for their size. No resonant material, placed on feet designed to. Any manufacturing defect. Rear knobs can be practical? 4 + remain on the "flat" to me. Little cumbersome. Consommantes little (and 'lupiotte remember before they are lit) bling . Stable. Inexpensive
... for their effectiveness.
Ccl: Good tool, which is in addition to or comparisons with other monitors in the same space and time, the frequency ranges. Especially for the analysis in detail. And considering the price.

the sound is quite extra I have nothing to say, you can select different settings on the rear depending on usage. This is my second pair of monitors but they are my real me used to * reference * for frequencies and I like to listen to music on it too.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been around 1year. I had heard from my music teacher and I was blown away by the sound, the frequencies they could get others could not, suddenly when listening to our favorite songs you can hear sounds that not necessarily have heard compared to other monitors. This is my first real monitors, even if it's not the best in the world for the super real studio, I love them and I would do this choice tomorrow morning for the first time if they arrive their something. I've tried so many store but it's really them who are out of the lot. Side money I think it would be pretty hard to beat.

I chose these monitor speakers to work for my records from my Zoom HD 16 CD after long worked with headphones in my little home studio.
Concerning the characteristics I let you see the plug manufacturer.
After that, they are beautiful, seem rather strong.
In short, one senses immediately that we are dealing with quality materials.

I do not have enough experience to compare with competitors but against can still identify some points:
- Speakers transcribe exactly what you recorded. Now I do more disillusioned when I pass my recordings a listening system to another. This is the first part anyway ...
- The sound is not "flattering" (not in too low ...) and so much better even if it can destabilize the beginning (the sound seems more "cool" than with conventional speakers)
- The stereo seems to me good without being exceptional either
- The dynamics is well respected and the sound is clear across the spectrum

Last but not least I do not feel tired after long hours of use

It must be 6 months that I use.
I am particularly happy because I make mixes that are better now.
These speakers accurately transcribe what you give them, have ample power, interesting tweaks to adapt to your room ...
All with a price / quality ratio very good as often with Yam. I think it was just for his money!
Now I've never worked with pros pregnant so I lack perspective ...
In any case if you are doing an amateur home studio, you can go for it!

For me the HS80M are the flattest speakers in this price range. It offers an adjustment in the back and delivers good power and it can find its place as a pregnant Middle Field.

I also use them as a mix for mastering but I also listen to the sound, I love them.

It's speakers are active so no need to amp.

There is a sub that Yamaha offers but must have good parts for the taking if it is a serious blow to distort.

And down to 42Hz as it is sufficient and at worst a lil control with a good headphone for the bottom and rolls nicquel.

For me it's a choice I do not regret that especially in this price range it was soon pregnant case of boost in the bass and making an acute listening unfaithful with the result.

The curve is the best in this price range. The stereo is good if you place the speakers well.
