UTILIZATION
We'll have to lean on a few to successfully do what you want with (especially notions without synthesis), but almost everything is easy to see (but he needs the doc anyway, it's not a Nord Lead) . After entering the operation and mastered some modules (I had never used a sequencer Cubase far apart, for example) can be almost anything you want and even what we had not imagined. This is obviously easier to edit on a computer (especially one has access to all features) but plenty of editing capabilities directly on the keyboard, and five screens are very useful for that.
SOUNDS
There is already a comment that says much the same thing, but I repeat. I had a Nord Lead 2, NL3, a Virus B and C Virus, and frankly the Modular G2 beats them all. Not because these sounds are "better", but because you can get the synth sounds of the 4 mentioned above with the NMG2 and many others. There may be slender or FM sounds like NL3, the typical sound of virtual analog of NL2, sounds "fat" and deep bass like a virus, the moog sounds, etc ...
There pleinde sounds to download on the internet, but obviously you can make your own. The programming is not my thing usually, but I admit there to take me to the game and I spend a whole evening just for fun.
