I was very satisfied with the fetures, a great drummachine. Would like to see a dedecated controller for this as it is a rack. but with all parameters being controllable via midi this is not really a problem when using a good sequencer.

Price paid: £450

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use compared to most equipment these days, and comes with an envitronment for Logic, and mixermap for Cubase. Manual is very easy to understand and nice and small.

SOUNDS

Superb sound quality, Kick, Snare, Clap, Stick, lo and high tom, are all analogue and have, and have all the usual controlls expected of an analogue machine and more, the last three sohnds are all 8 bit samples that can be passed through a 12db per octave high and lo pass analogue filter making for good sound shaping. The samples include a 808 cowbell ride cymbal a cr78 sound 909 hats 808 hats and a couple of jomox samples. The Rack is of good solid Build and is quite heavy it has midi in out and through on the back, 10 outputs and also a L&R out, All outputs are quater inch jacks and give out a pro+4dbu level. Also inluded are two lfos which can be swiched through variose waveforms and routed to many paramiters of the sounds, such as the cutoff on the hats ore the tune on the kick or toms. There is plenty of RAM on board and also a ROM with about 256 preset settings which can be edited or copied to RAM when creating your own settings.

OVERALL OPINION

Very Robust only has two dials and a few buttons on the front, have used it allot since i got it about a year and a half ago.

Like this machine allot, definatly a bargain for the price compared to the price of vintage machine of simalir quality. I reckon this machine is a future classic and can blow all the others away for pure quality of sound. will not be selling this

This is a synth (although the manual says otherwise) / beatbox rack format.
The technology used is analog synthesis for 4 instruments (kick, snare, low tom and high tom) and playing samples from 909/808/CR78 and "acoustic" for other instruments (hats / clap / rim / / cym / crash).
The rack also offers two LFOs and a few dedicated functions to certain instruments and it responds to velocity (if desired), which makes it ultra versatile.
To handle unit is available with an encoder "value". Facade has 6 buttons (some backlit) and a headphone output with a dedicated volume.
The connectors are standard in terms noon (the triplet) and for audio, no surprise (not in) but each instrument may benefit from a dedicated output.

UTILIZATION

The general configuration is very simple, the machine requires only 5 to 6 minutes of thinking to understand the architecture, editing is very easy, it remains on the same set of buttons in general.

SOUNDS

Sounds suit anyone attracted to electronic music. The machine is very open, although the impression is strong on emulations of 909 and 808, even if the recognize, it is not necessarily very close to these machines, we say that the mind is in any case.
Beware though, this rack is much more powerful than the quoted machinery, we can go much further in editing sounds, but really much further.
The sound palette of the instrument is very wide, thank you to the functions "harmonics / eq / filters / lfos etc etc.
Machine a fishing mad even the samples are super fat, I did not feel whether samples sometimes they are so powerful.

I bought yesterday on AF to a gentleman I have to thank!
I have a few other models.
What I like most: the sound, what I like least: a few dedicated knobs would have been welcome!

OVERALL OPINION

I will not repeat what was said, but I regret right on this bike:

No analog snare

The separate outputs are fixed instead of a summons, but on an analog machine ca application may be bcp expensive components??

Ditto for the hi-hat filter ca was great to be able to assign any sound or even to have him in / out jacks

And finally in the words of someone for the Vermona DRM is a shame we can not play sounds at different heights, on the one you can always set the pitch but it is narrower and longer .. . otherwise it would have been as widely as possible to make bass lines with the kick, for example ...

UTILIZATION

I open the record for the numbers of CC messages. I pilot with a drum machine. Before that I edited from a Korg KONTROL49.

It sounds very good. I sold without much regret my Vermona DRM1 mk2. The sound is slamming as expected with this type of machine. Before she had a drum station, I bought and sold jomox in its place.
I have never regretted. The drum station is good but I prefer the Jomox even if you lose the front knobs. It is easy to circumvent.
It sounds bigger, more present, just analog, electro and much of the shot.
Please note I have a TR909 next and it is not the same thing. Actually it does not replace, the feel, the groove, the myth, too, the knobs, the sequence and sound.
But it's a great complement.

OVERALL OPINION

I have 3 years. One of the best purchases I made. It's worth nothing and it makes good points.
I had or I still have a TR707, DX200, ESX, drum machine, Machindrum UW, Drumstation, casio RZ1, the SP12 turbo, my MV8000, the Vermona DRM1, the TR909, a MC303, TR808 tested, and Boss dr880 and DR55.
I think I have an idea of ​​what a groove box and a drum machine and the Jomox is fine for the electro, techno, house etc etc and style related.

What I like most? price, the sound.
The least? the lack of knobs.
And of course I do it again this time a choice rather than two.
