This is an amp basse.Il dlivre a power of 100 watts into 8 ohms from 4 6L6.
The connection is enough to complte an amp in this range (2 jack inputs, XLR output pramp, amplifies output Speakon or jack according SERIES ..).
There is a knob for gain, volume, low, medium (prselection frequency), and high.

UTILIZATION

This amp sounds very easy, it was sound lamp for a reasonable price. The "low" power is good for me on an amp lamp because it allows her to quickly get a natural saturation of the lamps (by pushing the gain) without putting the amp trs fort. I've never faced a situation where the amp n'tait not powerful enough to meet quality sound scnique. The inconvnient is that this amp sends a pretty heavy load in the speakers (some speakers saturate while the amp is that half of its power, for example).

SOUNDS

I find the amp trs versatile, you can do everything, I used to pop / rock and metal. I manage to have a sound for my two DIFFERENT types of music. I play with an active Jazz Bass. The amp is plugged into a wall Hartke VX 410 and a subwoofer 15 "Mount with Hp fostex; a nice ring to it.

OVERALL OPINION

I have 3 years, it has not changed is the strong! I use it on scne rpt and I've never had a bad surprise, I have tried many amps and it is part of my favorites. I think he has a good quality / price, I do it again the same choice if he was to lightning. The only complaint is its weight because it PSE PRS 20 pounds ... (a look at the size of transformers!)

OVERALL OPINION

My opinion on the power as it is called the weak point of this amp, I play in a band or you play hard, and I is no problem for me to hear my evil grs 2 scratch, I play with the volume to half on the head (and yes a tube amp is pushed: d) and compared with the same speaker in the same room I let out a HA3500 more than half a volume for a prs is similar, but this has the prsence V4BH

The Ampeg V-4BH is a 100 watt tube bass guitar amplifier head. The amp is of course suitable with any speaker cabinet, but I've only used it with a matching Ampeg cab. The amp has two separate 1/4" inputs on the front panel (one at -15 db), and a speaker cable output in the back for sending the head to your cabinet. It also has an XLR direct output in the back in addition to a slew of other 1/4" connections for further routing possibilities.

UTILIZATION

It's not hard to figure out how to use the Ampeg V-4BH, especially if you're familiar with bass amps in general. The front panel consists of parameters for gain, bass, midrange/frequency, treble, and master volume. It also has buttons for choosing between either a hi or lo setting. I don't believe that a manual is necessary for the V-4BH.

SOUNDS

The sound of the Ampeg V-4BH is nothing short of outstanding. Ampeg is the best in the business when it comes to making amplifier heads, and products like this one is the reason. We have this head at the studio where I work where it's the main bass amp head to go along with our Gallien Kruger head. This one sees use on most of the sessions where bass is being recording, as it simply sounds rich and full beyond belief. It provides you with an adequate amount of control, but you really don't need to do very much except play to get a great tone with this amp.

OVERALL OPINION

If you're looking for a top of the line, professional bass guitar amplifier head, the Ampeg V-4BH is a more than adequate choice. It's not nearly as expensive as you would think a top tier bass amp would be, but it's still not exactly cheap. Something like this is best suited for the professional or the experienced player who is playing a lot of shows and/or recording a lot. You simply can't get a bad tone out of the Ampeg V-4BH...
