Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound For 5-String P-Bass
Seymour Duncan has released a new variation of its Quarter Pound bass pickup specially designed for 5-string Precision Bass-style instruments.
Described as a powerful pickup designed to hit amps hard with massive output for a fat, punchy, aggressive tone, the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound has been popular with J-Bass and P-Bass players for decades. SD Custom Shop 5-string versions have already been available for years, but they are now part of the brand's regular pickup range.
The Quarter Pound For 5-String P-Bass pickup is said to deliver the classic upper-midrange power and punchy attack of the original Quarter Pound P-Bass Pickup, with its large ¼” diameter Alnico 5 rod magnets and a high output coil wind. It was designed to trofit into any Fender or equivalent 5-string P-Bass model thanks to the 6-pole/4-pole offset design.
Hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Quarter Pound for P-Bass uses Forbon flatwork and is vacuum wax potted for squeal free performance. Comes with black covers and 2-conductor hookup cable.
MSRP is $119.95. More information available from www.SeymourDuncan.com.
