Vienna Symphonic Library announces the availability of a fourth pack of reverb IRs for its Vienna MIR PRO and PRO 24 software.

The Vienna MIR Room Pack 4 features more than 14 000 impulse responses (IR) from three Sage Gateshead halls, a music education center based in the Nord-East of England.

Hall 1 is a 1640-person capacity auditorium which walls are covered with wooden panels and also features ceiling panels which height can be changed. 4 microphone positions have been used for the recordings (two on stage, two in the auditorium and one on the first balcony). Around 6700 IRs are available for this hall.

Hall 2 is a smaller 400-person hall equipped with remote-controlled panels that will alter the reverberation time. More than 2400 IR have been captured using ' microphone positions (one on stage, one in the auditorium and 2 located 6 meters above the floor, in the second balcony), and you can emulate the reverb time changes via the Reverb Time Scaling feature in Vienna MIR Pro / Pro 24.

Last, the collection includes 5700 IRs from the Northern Rock Foundation hall, the Norther Sinfonia rehearsal room equipped with wooden panels and motorized curtains and which reverb time can also be adjusted in Vienna MIR Pro / Pro 24. Here again, VSL used four microphone positions and you can place the instruments anywhere in the room (even in the audience).

The Vienna MIR Room Pack 4 is available at the introductory price of 165€ instead of 195€ (or 185€ instead of 205€ with a USB stick) until the end of the month. Visit www.vsl.co.at for further details.
