I use this crash in a metal / hardcore since 2000, model "10th Anniversary" This crash is thick enough, despite a name "medium" the crash is very powerful medium with a strong presence, and sustain that invades Not all space. It should also crash / ride heavy or light, with a bell very honorable. I did not find any fault apart from a lack of frequencies. as they age the look is reminiscent of a Paiste RUDE.
I have tried a Meinl Classics 18 (sympatoche) and a sabian aa metal-x 18, + full of washers who claim to be cymbals.
the sounds are very different (the raker is the darkest, the most acute sabian).
a quality / price ratio terrible (140euros), if this range was still made I think I do it again this choice.
