I have a hard drive 5x520-minute uncompressed. Quite enough ...
EQ on each slice and input levels are specified on the screen, not like the zoom r16.

Small detail that makes fun, pil vs890 hair falls in Cases of metal cans and plastic found for 15 € in DIY stores. It is class and style rack for not a morsel of bread.

UTILIZATION

The configuration is simple when you understand the principle. For this, the manual is necessary, just read the presentation to get an idea. Afterwards, when we ask a particular question, we must look on the page. To summarize, it is useless to read everything on the first night.

SOUNDS

Excellent converters.
Effects "listenable", ie always bring a plus, there's no ball. In particular, the guitar effects are sufficient for the direct, pending réamping. The effects are customizable, even if the setting lacks visual level meter.
Preamps lot but do not push too hard either. I use the beats for a direct box behringer di4000 with 20 db pad! For my microphone is overhead by ART MPA Gold and converter Behri SRC2496 internal preamp therefore not involved. For bass drum and snare, the level is high enough. In short, config needed for a small rock type. In the end, very nice depth of sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years. My first multitrack.
Pros: it is anything but the least
Cons: No export Pc other than digital sync noon. I bought a SCSI ZIP (70 €). So, I get the tracks in waves after the conversion with the wave vs. export. But each project must be less than 100MB, so move in with MT1 8pistes for a piece of 4 minutes.D hence the need to create a new project every song recorded and purify the draft spistes missed before export.
The balanced jack does not bother me but I must admit that this choice has not aged well (as do the methods for export PC or RCA). Zoom R16 today doing the same job, provided I stay on the roland as extremely reliable.
I got to 175 € for it in a campaign clueless, I did not even want to comment on the price ...
