I procured a djembe Kangaba after I inquired about the net and failing to find a distributor Wassoulou (brand discovered music fair in November 2008). I chose a small model for its practicality, light weight "relative" in relation to the bigger models. Of course I tried to store all the copies available and each instrument has its own personality, despite the "formatted" brand Kangaba. The one I chose has a remarkably deep bass sound, a sound tonic correct, can be slammed his least convincing I think partly due to its size and can be very gentle to the skin (too?). I hope not to have made a bad purchase because the brand is as respectful of forests and people. Visually at least it is very beautiful (wood likely Guen), editing is clean and solid. An instrument of initiation serious cute, well above in all cases of djembes sometimes found in markets or in supermarkets. The choice at the time was documented and suited my personal project. The sounds are beautiful and powerful. When I have more knowledge I look at some of the instruments proposed by the master djembe fola which are becoming numerous in France since the instrument meets more and more followers!
