It was my first bass and I've still got it today. I must say that choosing this bass was really a no-brainer because it is great value for the money. The PJ pickup configuration is imho the best to begin with the bass as you get the punch of a Precision Bass and the honkyness of a Jazz Bass.

I gigged a lot with it plugged in good amps and I can say that I was not ashamed of its sound. The playability is great and having 24 frets is nice at this price.

Of course, do not expect to have a boutique instrument and very clear sounding pickups - they can sound quite muddy sometimes - but it is a very good sounding bass to start with. I often recommend it to people who want to learn how to play.

The only thing I find a bit deceiving is the knobs. They're not very precise and it can be a hassle to mix and match the different configuration you want - especially the tone knob. But a lot of bass players leave everything full on so it's not a problem for them.

I got the cort bass since i was just starting out playing and I got it in a place called rock electronics in a nice little place called Dumbarton (SCOTLAND). the reason behind buy it was that cort comes from the same factory that builds Ibanez bass guitars so it should be good quality for money and it was, there was no real point buying top of the range bass when I am just learning on it and it could get damaged. I paid around £200.

I have been playing for around four years and yes you got it I still got and it is working damm good, in the 4 years it has needed no repairs or any thing done to it.It is strong too, with me it has been droped, slaped, bashed, even (i am serious when I say this[but that is a different story]) it has been burnt and shows no sign of damage. It is amazing want you'r little brother can do with a lighter and a links spray can.

It has a OK slap sound and the controls are a not that good(they don't show any sign of change in the volume)

it is well contructed the neck is rose wood at the fret side and pine wood at thhe back and the quality for money is brillant

is you are startin to play bass or want to mess around on a bass get this you will not regret it it was the same as Ibanez without the name

UTILIZATION

My first bass.
The handle is quite nice although it is necessarily disproportionate to that of my ibanez rg470.
Too bad the microphone is passive.

SOUNDS

I was tired of hitting the bass unmotivated, so I said, hop on a buy low and we'll see.
I play mostly live on my Hoontech or when I go through my v amp.
The sound is pretty groovy especially compared to that of the rather low yamaha oriented rock.
To riffs house is excellent for the steve harris is feeble ... The big pb is the passive pickups, lots of noise, lack of clarity in the sound.

OVERALL OPINION

If I had to do it again, I buy the top model with active pickups.
This is clearly a low of study, you can have fun but when you want to do the recording own or play a bit much ....

This is my first bass that I bought in June 2003. It is fun, cheap (€ 280), it allows beginners bass with a gear not too bad.
Trs good value quality at any price, I advise.

The handle end is so enjoyable trs. well varnished, he slips in impeccable hand.

I use it for 6 months. It is red. I test before you buy a copy of Fender bass that I was not at all packaging (it was a bad copy )
Quality price ratio, I rouve beautiful because better beginners with a bass that sounds right with a quality finish almost irrprochabble weaklings and microphones, a rather low with good microphones and a trim shit that sounds not always fair.

Channel varnish for good, easy to play, look cross between jazz is the action, a micro jazz single coil along with a micro precision single-coil, 3 potetiometre (a jazz and a precision precense 1), 24 freight.
In short a nice bass.

UTILIZATION

Trs enjoyable to play, it welcomes both sweet as violent games (the slap is irrprochable), the Access in agus is easy and is trslgres.

Rosewood-handle rather enjoyable too pais, ideal for starters, you can see the grain of wood (me it is green and it's pretty trs), the varnish is too thick for cons and Wood takes a quick head room

UTILIZATION

The handle is enjoyable nacres facillitent aprentissage work.
The last two frets are not enough space but it is not dramatic, the weight of the bass is returned and the appropriate form.

It is a low entry-level factory in Indonsie, 24 frets and three microphones (2 types P-Bass in the neck position and a microphone type J-Bass at the bridge), we control the volume of each micro indpendamment with 3 volume knobs. I prfr slecteur a microphone, but hey never mind.
She is damn good and the components seem solid, so a good note.

UTILIZATION

The neck is super enjoyable for its price range (good or is it on a Fender or a Musicman, but these lower the cost 5 to 10 times more expensive so we will not quibble), and limits nothing to the game thanks to 24 cases. Most recent internship boxes are a bit difficult to ACCS, at least with respect to the 23rd and 24th boxes. But hey, it's still fairly accessible.
This bass is trslgre (more than a Fender I think) so goodbye back problem and other problems, and the shape of the bass is pretty cool and original, a change from all these imitations of J-Bass at entry level. For sound, two microphones may be a bit feeble, and since it's a passive bass sometimes lacks a slap or punch in some genres (punk rock, for example <p class="bbcode-offtopic"> Off topic: <span>but who wants to play punk rock bass too ^ ^)</span> but hey the price is not the RVer, and since the finish is damn good even when we get a sound pretty good, and is more versatile thanks to both types of microphone.

Trs versatile (too may be, a lack of personality), we can play with almost anything (this is a low demand when beginners with the ease of play too). I play on a Behringer BX 600 (I obviously got lucky on that SERIES Behringer for that matter) and I am very happy with the sound. This gives her a pretty common unfortunately, probably the fault of the microphones, but it's even a clear and audible, quite enjoyable. I prfre the sound through the microphone a jazz bass bottom and at least two more almost gave her a pretty round, more fun.

Update

I'm playing now with a Roland Cube 100, and with better bass technique. With practice and a good set, the sound becomes downright good on a good amp simulation (Ampeg in my case). It resumed in personality and is a very good sound for this price!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it now for 4 months and I am very satisfied with the playability is excellent, although the pickups are weak people. I have tried low after purchase to see the value of high-end, I tried a Jazz Bass and a Musicman Stingray US (yes, the diffrence is just standard, but the price too), but I'm still convinced that this is an excellent MODEL for beginners. The report is excellent qualitprix (frankly I think she could have sold 50 more expensive in nine). UTILIZATION

The bass is light and well balanced, we just play a long time without breaking your back.

The sounds may be that of mieu There's this low (for the price of course), I would argue that they are very good when you stay at the top of the handle. The bass is powerful, round and not too low drooling. As against the highs are rather poor, ill-defined and lacking punch. This is mainly low-end microphones and low quality of the handle.

I bought this bass for beginners, a use I found the quality / competitive prices.

It has a trs good quality-price ratio as it is difficult to find cheaper and as good quality. Cort General for trs are in good range of instruments.
Before buying, j'tais totally beginners. The seller had tried to pass a stagg active 2X heavy, ugly sound that had little more pchu.
Today I n'achterais recess over this low because if I had to buy one, I would have CRITERIA slction levs more, but I think I made the right choice When I started (without knowing whether a would please me).
