    Steinberger XP 2

I bought this one on MusicYo (349.99$).I like headless model ( you can see some of my headless at www.copbass.com).

This is so awesome. XP2 looks very sexy and modern.
The sound is so great , the strings are so light, EZ to play.EMG select Pickup works very well. XP2 gives me a heavy and solid sound!

This XP2 requires special string set.
    This one made by Korea.

The neck is very comfortable for me to play. I can slap , slide,...every style i want.

Dont wait! Buy it now..before XP2 sold out!

    Steinberger XP-2

web purchase at musicyo.com; paid net $250 (using $100 off promotion)

I'm not a big guy, so the best thing about this bass is that I don't have shoulder pain after a gig from lugging a big bass for hours. The diminutive size makes this easy to transport (although I haven't tried, they claim it'll go in airliner overhead bins--but be ready for some strange looks from the TSA folks since the gig bag looks a lot like a rifle bag). Although this model has passive electronics, the signal is quite good, and the tuning is rock solid.

The two volume controls are highly non-linear (touchy); less than 1/2 turn of my knobs take me from nothing to full volume. The tone control is similar. This isn't …

The two volume controls are highly non-linear (touchy); less than 1/2 turn of my knobs take me from nothing to full volume. The tone control is similar. This isn't a deal killer, but be prepared to spend some time finding sweet spots for the control knobs.

Apart from the problem with the pots mentioned above, I'm very pleased with the bass; it's very solid, and the bridge came set up in excellent shape. Changing strings is a real pleasure with the double ball end system, although you'll find it difficult to get much variety. The small body still carries good resonance, and neck adjustments are fairly painless.

For under $300, this is a great buy, if only for having a headstockless bass in your collection. If musicyo isn't running a deal on this, get on their mailing list and be patient; they've run the $100 off promotion twice in 2003.

The handle carbon (since abandoned by the mark into the series spirit wood) remains the main asset of this guitar in his confreres exceptional qualities of accuracy, sustain, and a fabulous bouquet harmonies. But in fact all rside adaptation STICK style of this instrument must be ergonomic - or lack of ergonomics dtracteurs as they say - but pass this hurdle, we find benefits in reduced weight of the beast, and the ease of transporting the bass (c'mon repeat in the metro ... SOUNDS

This model, mainly passive offer excellent sound quality, multimdia other similar sticks. The corrections are very effective: Vol I + Vol Mic Mic II + Tone General. The sound is steinberger: specific on, clean, grain a bit metallic, "rounds" with your amp. OVERALL OPINION

The rating of these XP2 continues to rise, and models coming onto the market this opportunity now dpassent 800. Given that the production of this bass has brve t (-2 years), it is wise to grab a good copy, well multimdia in quality and performance to other sticks on offer in this same price range.
