I got this piece of heaven at the GUitar Center in Ohio used for a little under $100.00

Man this thing is sweet. I was a big fan of the Boss Metal Zone pedal but was looking into getting some delay and wah going on. So I did some research and liked what I heard, this thing has great distortion, everything from bluesy overdrive to full out Metal Zone saturation. The effects are also nice you can adjust them on computerized knobs which is cool and quite easy. I've heard people complain about the wha and it's true that it doesn't have the sweep of a crybaby but it'll get the work done.

The only thing I don't like is that it's made of plastic. I can stomp pretty hard sometimes but so far it's a trooper.

    Good, just the plastic issue.

This is a great piece of equipment if you are considering buying one I would definately urge you to do so.

I bought this unit used because of my budjet and love for different sounds. I needed a effects pedal that would put out for a couple hundred bills. guess what I found it.

Heard lots of bad things about the ME-30. "it doesn't give me the sound I wanted... blah blah!" Give it up guys! This unit is awesome, lots of different sounds mean a broader band of musical types. Music that is unreffined without being able to pigeonhole it into a shelf section in a music megastore. "it doesn't sound like the jeff beck solo I'm trying to emulate?"

    You know why?

It's built tough enough for you to bring it to a live show and stomp on it when your stoked. Just make sure the guy watching you in the front by the stage doesn't spill beer on you ME-30.

get a drum machine, a recorder and some lyrics... just giv'er.

I bought this unit from my local music store. I went in there and said i need sum effecys and the guy set me up it was 399 cdn but i got a deal for 250.

The unit is great!!!! im in a punk band and usually we like our plain overdrive and chorus. i was a bit worried about all the buttons but i found it easy to use and very usefull!

the only think i dont like about this unit is that it sometimes takes a couple of millliseconds for the effect to process wich when you are playing live can be a hastle but if your laud enough the crowd cant hear it any ways. also the butons are sorta' close together, with a sz. 14 shoe u can sometimes hit the wrong effect but thats alright.

I was initially using a BOSS Metal Zone distortion kit,and was longing for a multi Effect processor for a long time.Once my band's Bassist asked me to help him in buying a Multi Effect Processor as he wanted to shift to Lead Guitaring. Since I owned a BOSS Distortion and was more than satisfied with its performance, I asked him to get a BOSS processor. Two weeks latter his father sent him a BOSS ME 30 which his father bought for 250 US$. His father basically knew nothing about Guitars or Processors and this friend of mine had never used a kit before, So he asked me to help him use it ,he didnt have an electric guitar and was planning to buy one and since i had one he kept the kit in my hous…

Since I owned a BOSS Distortion and was more than satisfied with its performance, I asked him to get a BOSS processor. Two weeks latter his father sent him a BOSS ME 30 which his father bought for 250 US$. His father basically knew nothing about Guitars or Processors and this friend of mine had never used a kit before, So he asked me to help him use it ,he didnt have an electric guitar and was planning to buy one and since i had one he kept the kit in my house and asked me to program it for him. I spent some 15 - 20 days with the Processor and in that time i Got hold of sounds i loved hear from my guitar .I could now play METALLICA - "Enter Sandman" , VAN HALEN'S "Panama", IRON MAIDEN'S " Wasting Love" and so many other songs which i longed to play but couldnt as i couldnt get the right sound for them.I wished i owned that kit and suddenly Fortune Struck and my friend decided to stick to BASS Guitaring and wanted to sell the BOSS ME 30, and the very next day i payed him 180 US $ and got the kit from him . I knew that he wasnt lucky and I was Blessed to get a brand new BOSS ME 30 which cost 250 us$ for 180 us$.

This is how I got my BOSS ME 30 ....

The BOSS ME 30 is one of the smallest Kits in its category .I have played with ZOOM 2020,ZOOM 505,BOSS GT 5( recently) but of all these kits ME 30 looks neat and Clean Its got a great LCD display that makes things easier. The volume and expression controls are great, so now i can switch from a rough Distorted sound to an amazingly Clean undistorted patch without getting that unwanted noise during that shift and the expression pedal gives you control over you Distortion Drive Limit which sounds great when you wanna play slow rock. The delay is absolutely marvelous you get to set delay patches that you could only Dream of. The first time i used the delay I could only think of Pink floyd and Def Leppard and most other Processors dont offer such Delay or can even sound like one of these bands.Programing is easy and once you are comfortable you can even set patches even in the middle of a show .And the kit is so dependable it has never let me down in any of the shows i have played in. I just Love this Kit.....

The only thing I dont like about the kit is the wah wah pedal it is not as good as the VOX pedal. You dont get the same Punch that the VOX Wah Wah Pedal offers you..

As i said before The kit is neat, Solid and is dependable its almost 2 years since i got it, It still rocks like a Brand new one. It has taken a lot of Abuse from my side I have accidentally dropped Coke on it, Dropped it on the floor a couple of times But It just wakes up and says " hello DUDE-I AM READY TO ROCK".

'Then, at the config, it is relatively simple, the buttons used to navigate on the small LCD screen that maps the knobs, effects, etc..

-The issue is quite simple, just set its presets, ie put the distortion / overdrive, reverb / delay / chorus / flanger, etc.. All settings go through the knobs on the screen ... Now just look, tweak his camera to take good little sounds (I have spent some time but believe me even a transistor amp can do it, we need a right mix of effects to be). Something that can make the sound less synthetic, there is a small button G. Sim. Amp., Seconded it and it is just what comes out is not too bad.

-Given that spun me (oh yeah the brother in law has offered multi-zoom tube ...), I have not had.

    SOUND QUALITY

-As for effects, it's not a must that we must say. on the other hand, for sounds ranging from good to correct me, I did it. Again the question is, set, (for example my father was able to take one of his impressive Valvestate Marshall, limit one would have thought that there were lights in the bazaar), I have spent a lot time on the ME-30, and I knew good deal of overdrives and even distos to Jorn. on the other hand, at the wah, it will not at all, the notes do not show up, especially when you put the pedal to "down" position, so to speak. The gate can therefore avoid unwanted feedback when you do not play and the volume knobs of the guitar sound to max, however, it can no longer play the feedback taking notes ...

    - So I used this pedal with a Marshall Valvestate, it was okay. Here I use the ME-30 with a JCM 900 4100 (EL 34 in the Electro-Harmonix) + Peavey 412js, all on my copy Thierry Cachera Washburn Nuno. There I can tell you that it serves well the little thing, lol. The JCM 900 with a very (too?) Marshall typed, so I use the overdrive and the distos thingy, of course, the presets should be readjusted, by lowering the drive of distos playing with équalo and tone, and nickel is there, I crunch sounds, the overdrive to Led Zep, distos of the Extreme or Jorn. I forgot about my Marshall it took down the pre-amp channel saturated at 4-6, the presence and ditto for the same pre-amp's clean channel. Then there is the sound! coupling of Marshall and ME-30 is really good (I repeat this is not a must), and finally for my part I draw something good. Of its type and synthetic Marshall ME-30 I can have some versatility in sound, distos, overdrive ...

-The clean sounds with reverb or delay and the compressor in order to put the sustain and attack, I know it made me go in enough atmospheric stuff lol. Otherwise I like the big distos properly set on boosted channel of the amp, it kills, big sound!

    OVERALL OPINION

-It has been 2 years since I use it on different amps, Marshall ValveState transistor, Engl Thunder 50 combo, and there JCM 900, so I had time to find out what was capable multi-effects.

-What I like most is that in a small cross like that, there it all almost. What I like least is not a must ...

"I played a lot on the ME-5 of the father who is 18 and remains a safe bet.

For its low price, that's fine.

I choose other multi gender if I zoom the money ...

    The different effects are:

Compressor, distortion, amp simulation, noisegaite, eq, delay, flanger, reverb, chorus, harmonizer, tremolo, wah wah, volume pedal, ring modulator, and a kind of whammy.1 input jack (6.35), 2 outputs (one stereo, one for in a sortie.Accordeur, fastainer: A kind of looper that can be reworked at the pitch and speed ... really nice ...!

many examples of settings are easily found by browsing the web root, I even read that some users "optimize" the firmware but I can not confirm that this hack is possible because I did not make the attempt by me same.

    Is powered by batteries (6 * LR6) or external power supply 9 volts (ac-dc so ;-) )

    UTILIZATION

Super simple setup, I bought OCCAZ without notice. I can not imagine that one can feel the need to rréférer a notice to make it work ...

a very large LCD screen makes its use very ergonomic. As usual, the expression pedal (wah and volume) is very soft, I would have preferred a more resistance Auntie.

    SOUND QUALITY

The sounds are effective, I confirm that greatly facilitates distos are a bit cold at first sight but with an all-tube amp and a good scratch of course, you get a very good results anyway .... it's BOSS, we like it or not!

    OVERALL OPINION

I have a month ago, I had the ME-20, I have been tempted by its big brother, this LCD is so convenient (see above) that convinced me to exchange ... Good idea!

The price / quality ratio is really good, I bought 69 euros, it is certainly a second hand and it certainly withstand a lot more ....! This choice I would do without hesitation.
