-Disto: Some are very well on the other hand when you press the VARIATION button, many are unusable !! (Lowering the drive can save a few)
    -Modulation No problem
    -delay: Same
-Tone Modify: qualiseur as preset (I do not) that also has a role to emulator, among other things, acoustic guitar (used with the micro central pr strateux) humbucker from it's simple ... or EQ, or emulation ...:-(
    -Compressor: Ok
    -noise Gate: ok
-Reverb: Ok exept spring supposed to simulate a spring reverb, but the sound is too exagrbr /> -Pdale of expression: the effect assigns therein are generally bons.CEPENDANT, LA PEDAL THAT SOUNDS WHEN THAT CARRIES A FREE PRESS (adjustable) END OF FOOT WAS GETTING A FULL CONCERT Bugger !!! TRIGGER TO SEE EVEN JUST TOUCH WITH VIBRATION CAUSED BY THE FLOOR OR ITS NOT MY !!! I'M TOLD NOT FUCK !!!
The problem disappeared alone but raparu some time later to redisparatre! So I changed the play supposedly offending but not sr that comes from ca ca, for now it works ...
I use a cry baby branch before crankset but I always use the ME-50 is less garish complment for wha sounds softer and less grimey

    NOTICE GLOBAL

More than 2 years of use in its range: The best

+ Perfect for live use, beef because access to mods / price

    - The bug of the expression pedal (knowing I do not particularly mistreat my gear)
I had some other multi-fx: same problem for mute,

    Price quality ratio: Excellent

Ds this price range I would do the same choice

Very easy to use, we can find what we want ... except for the modulation, I row death to find a sound that I like.
Distos are correct rather, not very extra-ordinary, the problem as the important product ds we breath a little boost, but for lgres distos, no problem my major point.
I find the modulation complicates rgler, but then I'm using almost I EVER (and then, I have that on the amp footswitch, which itself is on one knob)

The Rverbs are nice and quite prcises.
The pedal is quite impractical: the game is relatively short, and ncssaire pressure to enable or disable the effect seems rather randomized sometimes bustling at the slightest touch, or n cssitant the contrary sometimes to throw an anvil.
Wah is rather okay if used distos the crankset, but with distortion spare before crankset (front, because after it is no longer the level of exit cssaire a good distortion, less sacrificing precision of sound), it is properly despicable.
Octaves + and - above all sound too lctronique my taste.
The noise gate is rather effective against the natural background of intgres distos but he will have a tendency Videment eat much of sustain.
The compressor gives a very pleasant in agreements clean.
A big plus for the small simulator top left: it allows trsrussis cleans, really nice.
I can get my Ibanez RG team EMG for an acoustic lctro!

    SOUND QUALITY

I use a Marshall MG100 and between an Ibanez RG370DX custome EMG (85-60), and I must say that my impressions are rather nuances ... some effects rvlent be of excellent quality other rather rotten.
Tip: be careful not to let the batteries too long, once the low battery indicator dclenche, the sound is a spitting ALTR appears in rear plan and it occurs a pulse of the blinking tmoins (trsdsagrable in rpt when the amps going strong)
It does not Drange while playing but ds that stands still is quickly unbearable.

    NOTICE GLOBAL

In 3 years of use, I have to say that I served well, despite a few flaws prcits.
A big plus on the resistance I'm transported in poor conditions several times a month, frquement prter friends for their little concerts, and playing it like a brute, nothing moves, the knobs do not spit, everything still works as its out of the box.
    Boss, what.

Get a lot for a little for OK quality

    Boss ME-50Published on 07/03/14 at 09:05
I bought this effects pedal long ago as I was on a budget and wanted a Wah, chorus, phaser, distortion, and pretty much everything in one box just to test out and experiment without breaking the bank.

I'm not a techie so I won't even try and explain the details. You can check out some of the other reviews for that.

    UTILIZATION

General configuration/setup is simple enough. I'm someone that avoids reading manuals when possible, whether it's to learn how to use an effects pedal or how to play Monopoly. With that in mind, I was still able to get a lot out of this pedal.

    SOUND QUALITY

I used my telecaster with it. I loved the fact that I was able to use an octaver, wah, harmony, etc with the expressive pedal along with a ton of other effects, but that I did so without paying much at all.

However, I will say many of the effects lacked in quality (which was to be expected). i.e. the coveted wah sounds nothing like a crybaby

    OVERALL OPINION

Loved the price, loved all the capabilities, probably would've loved it more if I took the time needed to truly learn how to use all capabilities, but did not love the quality so much. However, for higher quality I'd expect to spend upwards of $400. All-in-all a good multieffects pedal for a beginner/intermediate musician.

    UTILIZATION

Very easy to use...Nothing but simple knobs that are clearly labeled...Plug and play...The manual is excellent and the presets give you a great start...Tweak from there....The sounds are just like the BOss pedals so I never understood why I don't see more of these around...

    SOUND QUALITY

All my guit fiddles like this box....The OD boosts are excellent, there's compression that is ok, sound sculpting like a BBE, reverb that is passable, delay that is, well delay....There's also modulation that kinda sucks but I don't like chorus....

Overall, this thing is an all-in-one box that covers the ground of many BOSS pedals at a fraction of the cost....Worth every penny and built well to boot!

    OVERALL OPINION

I like all the features....The OD Boost is nice...The reverbs are sufficient....They are all fine...If you have used Boss pedals before, that is the tone...For the price, you get a TON with this thing...

I don't like the fact that it has no loop...The 4 cable method would be nice with this...It also lacks usable midi...

This is a unit I don't use regularly but when I need something...It's an all-in-one BOSS pedal shop..

    I'd buy again!

I walked out of the store and thought I had finally the answer to all of my dreams as a live guitarist. After years of trying out patch-driven midi equiped over-the-top gizmos, I was sure this was the answer. All I wanted was a simple triple stomp-box backed up with a bit of technology to store my favorite patches/tuner etc.
But this unit has in my opinion serious flaws;-
There are two modes of operation....
1)"Memory Mode" where you can recall around 30 patches. These user-patches can store all of your desired tweaks including master levels/reverb/compressor and combinations of modulation, delay and distortion. Great so far. Only problem is you only select one patch at a time (i.e. you cannot have a modulation assigned to one pedal and a distortion to another and stamp on both pedals. Also as you change patches you get a slight delay, as per my 10 year old Boss SE-70, which is annoying enough to stop me using it live.
    2) The other mode is "Manual Mode". Now this feels more like a live player's mode... you can use all three pedals simutaneously (e.g. O/D, Flange, Delay) and tweak global settings such as reverb & compressor. Fantastic - no delays in switching either....... BUT!..... no way to store these settings! BUGGER! My unit is only 2 days old and I am using Blu-Tac on every button to stick all of my manual mode settings so that I do not knock the buttons out of place!!!
    My other gripe is power....
When I saw that the unit could be powered by 6 AA batteries I thought GREAT I will use re-chargebles. But for some reason they don't work - maybe the unit is very sensitive to voltage levels of NiMH (1.2V) batteries and only works on 1.5V Alkalines. This really p%^%^%ed me off as now I have to buy a PSU.

Quality is superb - this unit is as tough as nails and will outlive me!

What a shame it is so NEARLY there...but I still highly recommend it. My suggestions to Mr Boss for future improvements....
    1) A save defaults mode for Manual Mode... and a "Lock" switch
    2) A Midi port to back up patch changes to the "Memory Mode"
    3) Design for re-chargeable batteries.

I needed a good multi-effect processor, coz i can't afford a whole load of stomp boxes, and this seemed like the best alternative. Bought in Matchetts in Belfast for £200, plus £15 for the mains adapter

Really easy to use. No menus to wade through, just twist them knobs and you're away! Most of the effect sound pretty good - a wide range of distortion, some good delays, and a whole host of modulation effect. Expression pedal is also a bonus. There is enough space to keep a whole load of your favourite sounds.

Most of the effect sound pretty good - a wide range of distortion, some good delays, and a whole host of modulation effect. Expression pedal is also a bonus. There is enough space to keep a whole load of your favourite sounds.

Most of the pedal is pretty good, except there are a few niggles with it:

1: When switching between banks, there is a short period of silence (like 1/4 second), annoying when changing between a chorus and distorted delay for example. It may seem short, but its there and becomes quite irritating. However, this is only the case if you use memory mode; if you use the switches as stomp boxes, this wont affect you

2: The reverb selecter only has a 1/4 turn to ajjust itself, so it's a little difficult to be really presice.

3: When the expression pedal's on +/- octave, if it's left not in the fully up/down position, it makes a wierd,"wobbling" sorta noise. It would also be nice to have a seperate switch to select the pedal.

4: To switch between banks live (ie with your feet), seperate footswiches need to be bought)

    5: NO EQ!!

The only major problem out of these is the first one, which is not a problem if you're using it in a studio, only if its live.

Overall, this is another quality Boss product.

Hey - its a boss. I havent had it too long, but im not expecting any major problems.

Although the negative list seems long, i just felt that all the weaker features needed pointing out. Overall, this is a quality pice of kit, but if this got lost or destroyed, i would probably save up for the GT-6, especially if it didnt have that annoying delay between the memory bank switching. Still, its a good, user friendly box. Enjoy!

Boss ME-50 Multiple Guitar Effects Unit

I bought this from musicians friend for about $300. I got it because I just wanted a whole bunch of effects for a cheaper price than buying a lot of individual effects.

I really like the fact that this multi-effects unit makes almost no noise. All the effects are really good, some aren't as good as the individual Boss pedal... but for $300 you can't beat all these effects. The reverbs are really good. I don't much fancy the expression pedal effects, they're rather weak. There is a large selection of delays to choose from, and the selection of distortions is awesome. The only thing I don't like about the pedal is the fact you can't play more than one distortion, modulation effect, or delay at once. Other than that, it's all good.

    strong and reliable.

All the classical effects are there (plus some extras): distortion, flanger, chorus (3 types), reverb, phaser, ring modulator, Harmonist, tremolo, wah-wah, rotary, united v, delay ... I advise the ME 50 to all guitarists who want a first multi-purpose super simple and effective or to anyone whose GT 6 (the big brother of the ME 50) rebutte its complexity of use.

We simply feel like to be different pedals, everything is described, the operation is ultra-simple, the edition of sounds as well.

    SOUND QUALITY

The effects of ME-50, take over the existing pedals, and it is therefore Boss quality.
The noise suppressor is super efficient, good reverb, delay trs good, good modulation, the equalizer is nice with a pretty acoustic simulation practitioner. The only point which does not satisfy me 100% it's like for most multi-effects, the Overdrive and Distortion. I like the sound of OD2, the BD2, the Crunch and the TAR, some others take the road but the ds one turns to the big distos it sounds a little too rough and not enough natural .

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several months, sometimes live I do not use programs and change settings like a good old pedals that we can not do with another multi-effects.
It is solid, rgonomique, easy, considering the price of pedals, there's good delay, a good noise suppressor, good chorus with nothing we ca dj winner so good value qualitprix.
For the same budget, I buy the same, with a budget over consquent plutt I will opt for a good rack with pdalier noon.

forget the compressor that crushes or anhile and tap tempo (sync tip is not the black DCON, a selection of black / quaver triplet or would do as well ... if someone in a manip change the preset??)

    OVERALL OPINION

For the price of two pedals is the Swiss Army knife without taking cabbage ... CACUL do the effects of the chain as well the tuner and DI box, batteries or transformer and cables that merdent or puff sound and the sound you almost complete.
Sure I would have AIM have a "tone modify" with JC, twin, marsmall, vox, HIWATT, boogie etc ... but the box is above the pedalboard Vox ToneLab genre but do not get sound with this thing is also somewhat lacking fingers

Most of the effects and one finds the quality Boss (for those who like), including reverbs, chorus, delays.
This ct l: say anything, it's good!
In addition to the pdalier really tough and with a great look!
Boss would still even able to change the pedals over bank (option added)
The tuner is great (when I think before I unplug my guitar every time !...)

    Let me explain.
While it is trs "Tripper" to hack, to search for sounds, to spend time mixing DIFFERENT effects and put them into memory.
Use're super simple, the edition as well as memory management.
The thing annoying is when one wants to "change one's mmorisquot;: when, tell you to change it, it is impossible to know how" done "your sound" (chosen and what effect what levels).
So it must tweak again (even if only to edit a volume, or type of distortion for example) because neither the guts nor the knobs do not tell you what you have in this rgl her!
It has something to know will happen to you because like me you believe set the "super-son-to-kill" you, quiet, but once rept, you realize that must modify paramtres ... You and your palms!

    SOUND QUALITY

Even when the effects are super effective.
I played on a Samick (type tlcaster) and Marshall MG 100 DFX.
I use a lot of rverb and sustain the distos (crunch, lead) and the chorus.
I am less a fan of delays (which are nevertheless good trs)
ATTENTION: there are many "poor whites" changing sounds, make it clear (do not be fooled by those who say they have not heard)
It's not too boring overall, according to what we played (OK to rock, jazz, fusion ... not so good for grunge, for example ...)

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 10 months
I think if my group is running well, I shall soon change when even I would look for the same type of multi purpose but with a catch of more complete edition, including allowing her to know how each is set to make changes without taking the head. And why not nominate her ... and have more sounds in memory.
I tried the Korg 1500 that seemed less solid the era. I may be my opinion on this rviser CRITERIA (which is not the most important in the end). Most recent internship or wait out in Boss, to see if they amlior these points.
Still, the report QualitPrix is good (I got it used, almost new, 200 Euros)
It's good for beginners ... but a guy who wants to "really" pauffiner its sounds may soon be lost in the changes rglages.

In addition, it was a micro simulator, compressor, noise rducteur a rverbe. There are ways to program his own sounds in the bank. but the o is the rub: there is always a second blank when changing from one bank to another ... not grate on a song! So I do not use this option. I RULES pedals each of the triggers and I when I need it! utlisiser super easy but I go down hill because of my white

    SOUND QUALITY

Ben it is a multi-effect: not great effects .... but vraimenbt trs valid! this is not the essence of the sound, but the good little impact standards. if you want to MGA's, then the aim should be great pedals. the purpose of a multi purpose is not to give the essence of the sound, it would be impossible, but to offer all possible effects in a single Casing good prices!

Changes: Over time, I can not stand the importance of his numrique her. I have no good effect, nothing at all, as a ringing numrique ... In short, plutt crap at the sound quality. The numrique brings a dull veil on the grain of his guitar. I do not want more than the 100% analog!

    OVERALL OPINION

I recommend this multi purpose because it is really handy: super easy to use thanks individualized for each of these knobs pedals, and because all effects are standarts l. sr although it was not the great sound ... but it offers unn bonn chantillonage is easy transnporter etc ... Then, you have to buy that super score Chres pedals if you want to have a great sound in a particular effect.

So a multi-purpose, it is especially useful super, super convenient, cheap, full of sound effects ... mandatory step before Specializes in some pedals !!!!!!

For effects see the opinion below. There is a jack of two mono output jacks L and R, an auxiliary input 1 / 8 "and a stereo input for one or two footwitch that enable and disable the s Tone and drive the compressor. With only one, the tonality of slecteur we can control. I give 9 because you can only use one effect per unit time. It is on c is a multi-purpose.

    SOUND QUALITY

The slecteur of Tone is a bit like the equalizer presets but I would love to have a better band equalizer instead. On the clean its been a diffrence but the distortion is completely useless. The compressor is average compared to other compressors on the Korg multi-effects. The noise suppressor can be very useful because many effects are background noise, but 50% pass it begins to eat the sustain. The four types of reverb are good. Delay in the block there are 4 time slots in addition to analog mode but this mode looks like a copy of the 100-500ms mode. There are also many other ways trs. Trs useful function and I like the block is the possibility to choose the tempo. Block the effects of modulation are well trs. In terms of distortion, I think they all sound digital and I really do not a. For beginners it is good. There is also an expression pedals, the wah is medium, the method allows rsonance DSIR and the others are still good. The problem with the octave is that you can just play one note simultaneously.

    OVERALL OPINION

Finally, the pedals is fine if you play on the clean because if you play almost all the time with the distortion is not strong. For beginners who want to know is full of effects trs well.
