I found this little number on samedaymusic.com for $296. they gave me free 2-day shipping on my order, and it arrived in pristine condition.

I love the effects. that's exactly what it's for. its design is simple and relatively easy to figure out, so the learning curve is minimal. the quality of the sound is gorgeous. its got a noise gate built in (user adjustable) as well as a compressor/sustainer, so you can pretty easily make a $300 guitar sound like a $1300 guitar. tone modify is very subtle but noticeable, so your guitar still sounds like it should. i heard one guy complaining about the reverb being out of wack and not having a good, even setting, but i think the reverb is perfect for me. i had no trouble adjusting it to any level. the OD/DS is versatile and very nice. any type of distortion you want can be found here. modulation is nice, although i don't particularly care for some of the ones on the unit. i mainly use the flanger or chorus. delay is fantastic. you can set it to any delay mode, including reverse and tap. the control you have over the effects is right where it should be: in your hands and in good quality.

i love my me-50, but the memory modes are a little difficult to get right. it takes more tinkering than i'd like, but i prefer not to use these functions anyway and i think that most people don't care about it.

it's boss, so i know it's solid. i highly doubt it will break.

It's boss! it's all the boss effects! you'll save hundreds by getting this, and you know you'll get flawless quality. fall in love with playing guitar all over again and get this unit.

i LOVE this baby, it has a lot of distortion types to chose from, delay is really accurate, and it is perfect for me, i play industrial rock so i couldn`t ask for more

i dont like the switching delay (even though i never really use it) and it needs more outputs, everything else is perfect

it is awesome (i don't really have the balls to drop it, but it can take my kicks when i play so it's preety much everything i need

I got my wonderful BOSS ME-50 at one of the local store where I live. I was looking for that all wonderful effects proccessor that could do everything (for around 200 bucks). This thing only cost me $220, and to tell you the truth it was the the best $220 I've ever spent.

What do I like about this unit, what don't I! This thing is awesome! You can do almost anything with this, whether you're playing heavy metal rock or blues, it dosn't matter, you can do it. I was looking for a unit that did just about anything, and this puppy does everything but wash the dishes. The tone is absoluetly awesome (as with all BOSS products). But my favorite thing about it is ease of use. On most unit you have to scroll thru all those menus and by the time you get the sound you're looking for, you've forgotten what you were gonna play! But on this unit everything has an independant control knob. If you wanna change something, you just reach down and and turn the nob. It's as easier than turning on a washing machine (which can be difficult at some times ;0) but this is so simple to use compared to any other proccessor I've heard of. It's just like having single pedals(except to get as many pedal effects as this offers you would cost about $2000). It has three pedals, one for distortion (there are 11 differnt types), one for delay, and one for Flanger, Phaser, Chorus, Tremolo, Harmonist, and a bunch of other things. It also has a built in tuner and an expression pedal that has Wah, Voice, +1 octave, -1 octave, and a few other thngs. It's made of metal so it is extermely durrable, and it has an awesome warranty.

Um.....Uh....Well, It's blue, which isn't my favorite color. But other than that I sincerely cannot think of anything bad.

The unit is made of metal metal so it is very durrable, and it has a cool sprkley looking paint on it. The tone and sound quality are AWESOME. It doesn't get any better than this. It has this cool thing called COSM (which I have absolutely no idea what that stands for) which actually like, figures out which note it thinks your your going to play before you play it, so the sound quality is even better.

Bottom line, this is the best investment I have ever made. If your looking to find the best effect you can without bein' broke for 6 months (well, a year for me, darn McDonalds) then this is the one for you. Buy it, and you'll have no regrets.

I bought this unit in a local guitar shop for € 290,-, because I wanted a multi-effectsprocessor.

I like absolute everything about this thing! It has the ease of a whole row of stomp-boxes right at your feet!

I really don't like the wah.. Every effect in this thing is great, but after the 12th fret, the beautiful "wah" sound turns into SHIT. Can't even hear the wah's activated. It's a shame..

It's -like every Boss-reviewer sais- built like a rock. You can throw it off the Hilton and it won't break.. You can push it off the stairs (but DO make sure it looks like an accident, just in case) and it won't get a scratch..

This is a great multi-effectsprocessor for the people that don't wanna spend too much €/$/ and STILL want to buy something that is GOOD! I'm never gonna sell it!

I bought this unit at Mary's Music in Clarksville, TN for $295 tax included. I am an old rocker and I have all the Boss/Roland gear. I have extensive Boss pedals and a Roland 501 Space Echo. I got this unit to try out becaue I like the sound of Boss/Roland gear.

I recently got a gig with a blues band and I needed minor effects and I am trying the ME 50 to suit my needs. Let me say that I grew up on the Ventures and I have played every type of venue that exists. I purchased an 825 Leslie to use with my rig and I just couldn't see hauling the gear to a gig. All I wanted was some compression and some other minor effects to go with my ES135 and a Fender Concert Amp.

The unit operating in the manual mode only is certainly worth the money. The effects do really sound like the pedals and it doesn't discolor the sound of the amp. I have yet to change the settings in the Memory Mode but I must say this unit shows lots of promise.

The unit has rock solid construction, all metal. I am a fan of Roland and Boss gear and it stays true to the sound and response of the old gear. The sound quality is true to the original stuff.

I am convinced I can tweak this unit to suit my taste and conform to the sound of the original stuff. I highly recommend this unit to anyone. I have tried other multi-effects units but most of them discolor the tone of the amp, but not this one. It totally enhances the tone of the original setup.

I got my Boss ME-50 at guitar center for USD 299. It is a pretty decent price to pay for a great multi-effects gadget.

The best thing about the ME-50 is that the sound is not digital. It doesn't sound fake. You can get feedback sounds if you wanted to. I've been reading lots of reviews about the ME-50. The most common dislikes about it is the delay when switching to one effect to another. There is a quick second delay when the sound changes. I've been searching for a multi-effect pedal that doesn't have this type of switching dealay. I found none. All of them has a delay. If somebody could find a multi-effects gadget without that switching delay, please email me.

What I dislike about this gadget is that it need a separate footswitch when using the memory.

The contruction of the ME-50 is pretty durable. The body is made of metal.

The ME-50 is a great gadget if you want the pure and raw sound of guitar effects.

The effects are effective:
-The distos overdrive and I are perfect (not all, some are a bit messy ds you put too much gain ...)
Them are also modulated (The chorus is deadly!)
The delay-are beautiful!
-The expression pedal is cool (good wha wha and other effects of the pedal are a little "gadget" but a fun place it in a somewhat com "psychquot

OVERALL OPINION

I use it now and then six months multi-effects and what suits me perfectly! my 330 euros depenss this one does well spent ... I do it again the same choice again!

UTILIZATION

Very simple: the ME-50 is a simulator pedals, so it is used as if you had several pedals in front of you. The settings are simple and immediate.

SOUND QUALITY

It's the Boss levels of overdrive and distos. Personal is the distos not my thing in pedals I use it with my tube amp.
For overdrive: the BD-2 is excellent!, Other are good.
The modulations are also possible and, in addition you can set the tempo by pressing the foot pedal more than 2 seconds after you hit the beat and now it's done!
The wha-wha is not great: I kept my Cry Baby that I use with it.
Section modif microphones and cash (up to the simulation of sound) is gadget, the compressor is average but the reverb is good.

OVERALL OPINION

I have a year and I am delighted.
What is important is to clearly say that this pedal is a pedal simulator, there is no preamp, no amp simulator itself and not of HP simulators (which was exactly what I wanted), we can not strictly be compared to other multi-effects pedal market.
With the ME-50 is like having Boss pedals, your amp is not distorted (I had the cruel experience of a digitech multi effects plugged into a Mesa disaster!) And then it sounds like the Boss.
I use it on stage during rehearsals and even in multi effects for electro and it works.
Finally, if you want to buy a good distortion, chorus and delay, only the price of these three pedals you pay the ME-50.

It is a complete multi purpose uses COSM Technology brand for its higher quality (relatively). It offers a cinquentaine of effects distributed mainly in three areas.
the first is dedicated to overdrive and distortion sounds, the second to modulations (chorus, flange etc. ...), and the third to delays. These three areas are on foot switchable via the corresponding third pedal. practice, however, it is impossible to combine both effects in the same area (eg one with a tremolo chorus ...). There is then a small area dedicated al emulation body and different mics, a compressor, four types of reverb, and a noise gate. the tuner is in the game, and it is welcome. (The tuning is simple, using 5 / 6 LEDs that indicate the height). It also bypasses the tone for tuning discretos (practice on the scene it ....). expression pedal functions like volume, wah wah, octaver +1 and -1, and voice. the connection is complete (ver 2 output amplifiers -> sound stereos, headphones, line out, taken to footswicht etc. ....).
Different sounds can be recorded via patches (30 in all). Finally, the quality of the case is flawless, that is what the Huskies.

UTILIZATION

Configuration is very simple, do not be fooled by appearances, I have been pleasantly surprised by the ease of use. I 'm waiting for a trimer with a control panel for launching rocket, bah non, that is always simple, the manual is explicit, and worse it sounds pretty good what. (Oh yes mech c after that there vien)

SOUND QUALITY

The distos are satisfactory even if they are not all fabulous (22 yen in total), emulators pedals are necessarily true likeness but I have not enjoyed pa say ugly! they are all satisfactory except for the loud (a block of low draft and filthy, and some others that are just full of mastodons medium.
the rest is good. modulations issue was no different: there are ups and downs. the three are sublime chorus, tremolo and vibrato great, the pan is standard (note the two amps it fau, or one stereo). but it is complicated and it 's at the phaser and flange: volume, even with the knob to zero, is much too high, and almost unbearable in gross distortion. damage. in terms of delays, so good, that is the boss, and that 's fit. remarkable. everything else is fine, reverb emulation, etc. .... I use it plugged into a marshall dan vs 100, and connected to my strat zoli us, destroys all the sound,
that is the heavy, heavy distortion, crystal clear sound, chorus of death ..... good course fau not expect to have the warmth and power of a mesa saturation, but that is still exellent.
Personally, I have a soft spot for the disto rats, guv, the chorus, and the third delay. that is my standard config. Of course, after we can afford lots of follies, the result will always be acceptable.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost a year, and I must say that it fills me. effects of quality, ultra-simple, clear and manual box super strong, but good. Before you choose, I have tried several models, with digitech, in korg, and the boss is undoubtedly the best (in this price range). it is ideal for all guitarists who want a box full of sound quality, fast to use, practical, high quality for the stage, for a price more than hell. bravo!

The effects have Describes t enough, my favorite effects (I'm currently shooting on Muse, Nirvana, RATM, Audioslave) are distos (great crunch to mtal through a good distortion grunge), the chorus / flanger / phaser / Harmonist / tremolo and qq delays as it takes ... all this is trs good quality, they have the strong! (Note also the reverb, and equalization of prslction) So no complaints, the simulation of Boss pedals and even other brands of multi currency effect "classic" and me it was really what I needed. When was the expression pedals is the icing on the cake, there is no OK 2 octaves + / - but merely an octave! The particulirement wha is effective, and 2 / 3 more funs effects I use are less fun depending on the combination effect Previous. The connection is trs complte, possibility to connect 2 amps (and the effects we tournament), playing without a headset amplifier, to add a footswitch pr foot control effects are done by hand (compressor reverb ...). In short all of such quality MRIT out a 10 in me and my use.

UTILIZATION

The manual comes with is very practical and concise. The configuration is as simple as those of the other Boss pedals, you just have to choose which uses heads among those proposed. The edition of sounds in October 1st bank of three sounds (read 30 records available) me more than enough. There is a blank between changes, but to return to the problem before cit, it is not teacher, and when necessary to pass a clean its saturated (grunge or otherwise) without cuts, the mode Manual (off sounds prenregistrs) catches up with the IMMEDIATE problem. 9 for the simple compromise, but that could be seen.

SOUND QUALITY

I use a Yamaha guitar lctrique of quality, and personally I am happy, the whole range of sounds available to me I DSIR, in short I love almost all the sounds of this multi Indeed, this is exactly what suits me, and I think it can be for other people. I feel like I never finished the discovering and trs is well! Sometimes a simple change leads to new horizons (eg after forgetting to remove the delay and distortion by running I found a sound I never left)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for six months, I love the simplicity of use, the robustness of the BTE, the expression pedals, and the cot simulator pedals, because the simulators amp multi effects typical of me, so as to pay less by not having this feature and gain in quality effect (can be trusted for a Boss AC). In short, the price quality ratio is excellent, comparing the nine that cost me 285 to the price of a good thirty Boss pedals, (not to mention the other brand, the expression) the calculation is fast! I would do without hsiter this choice because it is what I needed, but I understand that some are due in any dpend of what we want to make ... try, if you hang, and DCID rflchissez you!

Well I think that says it all for t CHARACTERISTICS ..
I personally find it quite complete, even when there are 22 distos / overdrive
but also a lot of modulation and delays ..

UTILIZATION

Level there's no use simpler: no need to go into the menus and everything ..
everything is accessible, you can have the sound we're looking for quickly.
Shame the record book is in English, but hey there are not too necessary.
Shame also that we can not put more modules, but hey you pe not have everything! (And then I use it so for me it's going!)

SOUND QUALITY

So, at the level of distortion, I think they all sound reasonable, frankly there are a few that I love.
For the delays they are really pretty! and fully customizable!
cons for the modulation by I think it means a pe (well I never used so I could not find a top m'atarder good)
APRS ago mofifier the tone, I personally find it useless .. the simulation of acoustic NULE!
aprso level of compression I pe not say I ever used.
And finally the pedals, the sound is good: wah a lot of the race are pretty Octavers condition to play a chord by chord. APRS for the voice, I would say it but bizare ca pe go well in some styles.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 10 months, I like its simplicity of programming and use.
in relation qualitprix I would say good trs: 300 euros PDAL PDAL while a 100 is simple ...

I do not think I would do this choice, enfiat I think it is better to make your own board with the effects that we ve ..

The effects are excellent (apart from the distortion can be that are not quite as good quality), nanmoins tt lights on an amp is HUGE!
The modulations are terrible sound of thunder and the effects of expression are a little gadget (but it takes tt) The wahwah is not bad (though I do not use it since I have a crybaby ^ ^)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for seven months, no bp point I bought it after I play with a Zoom 505 II (BOSS literally crushes it ^ ^)

This is the best qualitprix the market (now There's also the new zoom pedals on the market that I have not tested but it looks as strong competitors)

Some advice: buy the hand, you begin to find less than 200 euros.

No doubt, the quality is there Boss, complete with three very distinct pedals and knobs for other complementary effects.

All this is very clear and well distributed on the pedals.
