USE

Usage is extremely simple, the combination of the footswitches, pushbuttons and potentiometers well placs makes extremely intuitive machine!

Small bmols:
-there is only one footswitch to change the effect bank, so to return prcdente the bank, you need a raliser dlicate maneuver with legs by pressing two footswitches both ... ce'st take a shot.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are very nice, varis, and some presets are the evocative name dmentiels, I think especially one that does not rebuke the sound of U2 but modlise with incredible efficiency the clear sound of Metallica.

Distos are a bit soft compared to the Digitech and Boss distos, but I find warmest.

The amp simulations are only simulations but to play directly to the headphone they perfectly fulfill their role.

The pitch shifter is so so with a time of excessive latency.

The loop programmer is a rgal for music crtion.

This unit is absolutely awesome for use in a home studio! DI it sounds incredible. Between the drive & cabinet selections/combos and the fact that you have to option of setting up the gain for A/B switching (which puts it WAY above other units, that alone makes it invaluable. It basically allows you to create your own 2-channel amp. Then you can add a mod, pedal, and reverb/delay FX. All the FX and sounds I found were of very good quality. It will never get replaced. If it breaks (which I doubt it will, very tough construction) it's getting fixed! Oh yah, and when you create your own 2-channel amp, you can save it in one of like, 30+ memory slots! So cool.

Uh...well...If it were free it would be better. But other than that, there is nothing I don't like.

Top quality.

I couldn't function without it at this point. My studio has evolved around this unit.

I work for a music retailer, so I got a screaming deal. This item usually goes for about $299.99. I bought this because I needed multi-effects for live performance, and couldn't afford to buy individual stomp boxes at $100 a pop. This pedal has been worth every penny.

Just about everything. The body is metal which gives it enough weight that it doesn't move around under foot. The effects are grouped into banks (16 preset/16 user) with 3 sounds per bank (total of 48 preset/48 user). Now here's where it gets good. The three sounds in each bank are diverse, usually a clear, distortion, and chorus/flange. Also, each sound has an A/B channel. The B channel activates the drive on the effect, so you really have 6 sounds, all without switching banks. This is very important for me, because I use this for live performing. I need to be able to quickly add drive, and effects without a hitch. This pedal is great for that.

You can also switch banks while still playing the sound you were on. This is not available on Zoom and Digitech pedals. Usually, as you scroll, the sound changes. Now you can get a sound, and play away while you scroll and get your next bank ready. Also, the sound change is very fast. No noticiable delay when you tap into a new sound.

The knobs at the top allow of quick changes for drivers, cabinets, modulation, and pedal. This is useful, because I have presets that I like to use, but the pedal does wah or something, and I want volume control. No problem. Get the sound, turn the knob to volume, and play away. This pedal is a live musicians best friend.

I haven't played much with the user programs, but for studio musicians, listen up, this could make a big difference. Most pedals say they have user settings. You spend an hour setting it up, getting just like you want it. But if you unplug the unit, all of that is lost. MOST PEDALS DO NOT SAVE YOUR CHANGES!! The AX1500G does. All the work you put into it is saved.

Last, the tuner is very good. Even better than my Boss tuner. (Really, I'm not kidding.)

1. The Buttons are small and there are five of them. I have small feet, but I play in Doc's, so I was hitting two buttons alot. I had to learn to turn my foot on its side to make sure I hit the button I was going for. I could see how someone with size 11's might have even more of a problem.

2. Scrolling down through the banks requires hitting two buttons simultaneously. The problem is one of the buttons also access the 3 sound in a bank, which is usually a very loud distortion. This means clicking in a new, abrasive sound by accident. I try to just scroll up whenever possible.



Great metal body, nice solid expression pedal. Chicken head knobs and dials are tight, no problem of accidentally moving them. The foot buttons are plastic, but they should hold up, especially under my light weight.

I have done alot of research, and here is your comparisson shopping list. These are internet prices, not in store, but you could get these prices at a store if you bargin.

I feel all digitech products are overpriced. They use too much plastic, and I have seen more than one crap out during a band's set. The GNX2 is nice, but not as useful in a live situation. The ME33 and AX100G are nice, but for $50 bucks more, you get way more pedal in the AX1500G.

The only pedal I played that was a step up from the AX1500G was the Boss GT6. As far as ease of use, Korg wins, but the GT6 more sounds and more control over programming.

I'm sure I've left alot of stuff out, but here's the real point of this rant. As a live musician, I look for ease of use, variety, and dependability. In a gig situation, this pedal has out performed rack mounts, and higher priced Boss pedals. For $300 bucks you'll get a workhorse that will make you proud.

Well, for the purpose, look at the site of Korg, roughly:
- 10 types of distortion
- 11 types of amp modlisation
- 11 types of modulation (chorus, octave, delay ...)
- 11 effects pedals (wah, talk box, volume, etc ...)
- 11 ambience effects (reverb, echo)
making five sections to build a cumulative effect
For each type of effect, the knobs are a function diffrent in rglages.
Connections: between one guitar, two outputs (left and right), an auxiliary input (CD player, etc.) The pdalier is quite small (easy to transport), and solidly built.

UTILIZATION

It is a strong point of this pdalier: the simplicity of rglage. No need to memorize a manual pais (one of Korg's not pais, and well done) there are all forgotten when it is needed, the everything is intuitive, and it's like bike, once we understand, has naturally falls.

Regarding the quality of the AX1500G effects, the distortion is trsralistes the rverb trs good, the weird effect (talkbox, octave, etc. ..) are odd, the wah, blah.
All effects produce little breath, and follow the sound of your guitar. Finally, some very useful accessories: a tuner a quality mtronome, the possibility to record 16 seconds of play

OVERALL OPINION

For a year I use (home, or RPET), I think I made a good choice.
Other alternatives were offered me (the price of little importance):
- WG6 (Boss): too big, too complicated too synthetic
- The GNX (digitech) plastoc, 2 times more expensive, breath, and no better quality effects
- Zoom GFX8: quality effects in a little less distortion (breath), but it is an alternative INTERESTED, especially if you have a PC (you can shape your sounds with).
Ratio Q / P excellent, and if I buy something today, I choose the same referrer.

The effects available are IMPCABLES! I even try on a crappy little amp of 10 watts and sounded good! It is also the fact that we can btancher it to perform its stro (enregisterment of 16 seconds in "loop").

UTILIZATION

Fconfigure trs simple. For those who really conaissent it super easy for others with a little trial and error is still very rapidemnt get the sound you want!

SOUND QUALITY

Effects of tube amps of excellent quality!
I use it with an Ibanez RG170 electric guitar and the sounds of thunder ... J'iamgeine not a fender or gibson ...
The distortions are groovy and acoustic simulteur # 1

I'm not 10 for two reasons:
- No MIDI interface connectors

UTILIZATION

Operation is very simple! have a clear, concise, no knobs in bulk (see BOSS), the effects are easily adjustable, and if necessary information, the manual is thick but you can find all the answers.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are efficient technology (REMS), the distos very realistic (especially the US Hi-Gain announcing the Apocalypse once properly adjusted => mesa correct), the amp simulations are royal (small crush on the BLACK PANEL 2x12 ), the modulations are terrible (mention the odd effect of the year for the Filtron that gives the impression of hearing a pack of ducks) the effects pedal are nice (the UVibe meet JIMI fans of the god), the Wah is (obviously) not the ultimate weapon, but it makes a lot so far and reverbs (11 anyway) are classes. The acoustic simulator is not too bad and the compressor provides a good clear sound.
Note the presence of a setting Reductor Noise (Rule sensitivity and parasites) hyper-efficient.

My favorite effects: US Hi-Gain, dist Classic, Metal, Classic Flanger, Vox Wah, Mod Delay
The effect I like least is the Ring Mod (too zarb)

- I use this beast for 3 months and it is a treat

- Simplicity and reality are its sound two major assets

- Defects .... ben .... uh .... hardly! Lack the power button and MIDI

- I started with a zoom 707 II, and I wanted to see above. Then I tried the BOSS GT6 (that of my counterpart in the group) and it based on the opinions of the site AF and finally trying the Korg store was clear: I must have!

I used this pedal about a year and a half before starting to buy several separate pedals. I still use it sometimes sounds which I do not have pedals.

I tried several models that other guitarists have. This pedal beats any DigiTech pedal! But many rivals pod ... especially the Pod XT-live for a little more.

I would do definitely the choice. This is a great pedal that I used too, but is not as much as a single pedal! But it is a multi-effect we speak, not of paradise!

UTILIZATION

So often you read the wah is weak. Mooi I find it quite acceptable! Bon ca CryBaby is not a true but it does model the wah with the pedal! No really it is one of the best effects!
While I was in against some top modeling "cabinet". In fact there is a choice between several models of boxes for the resonance amplifier. But I have not understood the value and the difference between "firm" is actually being obvious.

The distortions are really interesting, I find the overdrive really excellent! However the "fat distortion" and the acoustic simulator seem really unnecessary and ... ugly! for others nothing wrong, it can really work the sound with EQ and gain, for those who do not like to take the lead is great!

simulators hp does bring me absolutely nothing, maybe I do not use it ...

the modulation effects are very effective, indicating the tremolo! Again, it is not useful, Filtron (used with the expression pedal) and the auto wah I was not really convinced ...

the reverbs are excellent but I still gasp! can not be used in conjunction with the sampler! and as I always scratch my friends on hand, it's quite irritating: I'm playing alone with a pure sound, or I run a loop of the agreements, but I miss a reverb!

OVERALL OPINION

I use this multi-effect for 2 years! the integrated sampler phrases is by far what I like in him! but I repeat, at this price point, the sounds produced by the korg are really excellent! I had tried other types of effects (mainly single pedals), but the ax in 1500 is really the most economical and less hassle! one branch and we play for hours!
value for money is truly amazing, although some effects are really unnecessary ...

This pedal is very versatile. We play everything with!
The program is very diverse and defined for all tastes. Some are very strange. Something good too are the predefined groups of sounds zik: Stones, Beatles, Led Zeppelin ... or genre: blue grunge ...
In general the AX1500G is more focused on distorted sounds but deliver very nice clean sounds!
As for the publisher it is super complete. We choose and we make the sounds you want: choice of the original sound, amplification, effects, atmosphere and the pedal associated with the creations. Each of these parameters can also be changed (air, presence, bass, mid, high, volume ...) thanks to the knobs! It's great results. That's why at the beginning is to find the sound cho!
