2 Fender Custom Shop Michael Landau Strats
The Fender Custom Shop announces the availability of two Stratocaster Relic Michael Landau Signature.
The Fender Custom Shop recreated the 1963 and 1968 Stratocaster guitars played by Michael Landau in their "Relic" original state.
Both guitars have an alder body, a custom oval "C" maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard with 21 narrow jumbo frets, 7.25" radius and white Dot inlays. Nut width is 1.650" and the scale length is 25.5" on both models. They also have in common three Custom Shop Fat '50s Single Coil Strat pickups, a master volume and two tone controls and a 5-way pickup selector.
The vintage style bridge has 6 saddles and a tremolo, tuners are also vintage-styled and the guitars host a 3-ply green mint pickguard. Fender used a nitrocellulose finish on both guitars.
The Michael Landau Signature 1963 Relic Stratocaster is available in a single Fiesta Red over 3-Color Sunburst finish, with an MSRP of $5500.
The Michael Landau Signature 1968 Relic Stratocaster is available in two Bleached 3-Color Sunburst and Black finishes, and announced at $5200.
