Not top of the preamp but as I recorded the line level it did not bother me.
Hyper sensitive Firewire (beware deco hot, she does not like at all)

UTILIZATION

Unstable and annoying latency drivers (not monitoring for it there has a direct monitor in the "console"). Require to readjust all my tracks.
Never could get less than 20ms without tends to stall.

OVERALL OPINION

Map for beginners, but you certainly disgusted with computer music.
I do not know the competition in this price range but for trying the TC Konnect 24 I think their entry level would be more "qualitative"

But hey, it do its job when even.

Use with laptop (ASUS M2N)
Use with dynamic microphones (Beyer M88, M69) and ribbons (B & O, Fostex m80rp).
Mainly audio and VST.
Cubase and VST.

UTILIZATION

Super easy installation, zero PBMS.
We read the manual and shoo on.

Driver trs stable.
good latency ~ approx. 11 ms.
MIDI impcable function (VST).
Simple.
HOWEVER:
The trs pramps are noisy with microphones dynamic types or ribbons!
With a trumpet 10 cm pramp must be running 3 hours! full of breath.
Can not use a ribbon microphone (s).
the headphone volume is standard (more than 10 hours clatent ears!), is nothing.
Hollow sound in the bass.
The knobs are quite dsagrables in touch. No on / off. Even more ugly in Photo! it looks like a car tuning.

OVERALL OPINION

I have made after two days because of the preamps (breath and not enough gain) and its imbalance (severe hollow treble booster, ...).

Good choice when using micro capacitors and / or to MIDI.
But for me it does not sound PRO.

I changed it against an Edirol FA-66 (see notice, I made too!)

Help me! Or c 'is not possible and many of the gentlemen at NUL c PRESONUS!

Technical character: a lot plutt worked before.
Use: Rock Band recording mlodique.
config: Acer laptop. aspire 1610 series, something that normally the PCHE.

UTILIZATION

Install: no way to operate the system.
there is a conflict with the sound card of the computer that I can not dconnecter. ds in dconnectant peripherals, has not changed the points.
is a grazing with sound and it is clear that in a dfile does not (read non-linear)
using full duplex and testing, said config ok but then the more with his right dfile ....
nothing in the manual to get by.

I chose this card for XLR inputs on the front: one for the microphone with phantom power and a dedicated instrument with separate input control. 1 headphone volume control and a general control. Other input jack 6.35 mm at the back, and separate outputs + MIDI inputs.

I use a Presonus preamp VOICE more and plug guitars (electric or electro) directly into the input 2 dedicated instruments.

The general outputs are connected to amplified speakers Samson Resolv 40a

UTILIZATION

Originally installed with a PC Laptop / Windows XP, the drivers were stable until I migrated to an iMac / Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I have a problem with firewire 400 on which I connect my firewire card and 800 on which I connect my hard drive working. In fact the map does more interfaces with the computer and the sound skips. The solution: I do not plug into the Firewire 800 when I'm in musical session ...

Latency is correct and quality mic preamps is the (quite neutral and not breathing), enhanced by the addition preamp VOICE course.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this card since 2004. I also have a 610 Egosys quatafire I find a bit better in terms of mic preamps.

The price / quality ratio was good at the time (around 300 euros). Comes with Cubase LE, it can start without breaking the bank as well.

This map is used in a MJC with teenagers. It has seen all the colors: it is very robust (Alu) and does not "chip" as some USB cards which shall remain nameless ...
