OVERALL OPINION

The Little Big Muff is proposed to unnecessary ridiculously low price, so to deny it even if, a priori, it is not necessarily the fan as it gets! I personally have always been a fan, the Big Muff has been my first pedal acquired over 35 years ago now! So finally amazing, I think she is better now and it really pointless to spend triple for a vintage model 70's.
It is now much more versatile because it allows the game rhythm (the sound made was just mush on early models). But where it excels, as in the past, it's good for solos. This pedal, as everyone knows, I suppose, offers endless sustain even at low volume and creamy tones. Whether with a Les Paul or a Stratocaster, it never belies its warmth making it a cheap alternative to the Dunlop Fuzz Face. It reacts quite well to the volume knob on the guitar and even offers a crunch sound really nice and original. Of course, it can not substitute for a true overdrive (MXR, in my case) but this is somehow not what it is. No, Little Big Muff love charged sustain leads, gorged saturation, the furious flights but also lyrical and melodic solos (cuckoo David Gilmour: Here the pedal must be associated with a phaser and a compressor for the solo "Time").
Sensitive and progressive settings allow large variations and sculpt his sound is a breeze. Of course the knob "Sustain" turned fully will certainly need a good Noise Gate, but it is the lot of all high gain pedals and it does not snore as other distortions.
The Farication suffers no negative criticism, at least if you do not mind the boxes a little "as forged". The switching effect is noiselessly.
This pedal is part of the history of modern music, so do not forget to do this, you also part of the story for just one euro fifty!

UTILIZATION

The sounds are identical to those obtained from the Big Muff. At first I did not blunder the order of the knobs was different from the normal pattern. But after a minute I found my children. The power is finally universal (as the Boss), it is not through the cord with 3.5mm jack faithful to Electro Harmonix.

on the other hand I think the price difference between the Little and Big is not huge. The Big is a legend, it's mouth, but finally the materials are cheap.

It's not really a reissue of the Little Big Muff, but a Big Muff in an acceptable format (90 x 117 is much better).

Another point of detail, it is now in the presence of plaque components instead of conventional components (except for condos and transos qq), so I assume it's scorched for changes.
On the other hand it looks really wired in true bypass (unlike other effects of the range with a 3PDT switch wired normally, but on three poles).

Bah, a pedal distortion / fuzz with three knobs, one input, one output and a switch ... mundane, but effective and easy.
As against the disadvantage of this type of case, should all be removed for access to the battery.

SOUND QUALITY

Well, we'll put it all in style of the day.

In retrospect, I find the UBL a little dirty that the Russian (I just buy me one elsewhere), but mostly it has more bass, so that I now use only with. .. my bass.

A Big Muff, in a housing and a decent PSU stadardisé format, nothing more to say is good is beautiful, it's Electro Harmonix, but in my opinion better with a bass that 'with a guitar.

This is a great classic fuzz. In fact adaptation in a standard format (with standard power supply) of the Big Muff Pi US which is larger and a transformer ncessite SPECIFICATIONS.

The fuzz is a distortion sustain cradingue combines standard. The grain of the same. It's been a growling bass amp and a screaming guitar amp. Ideal to go on a feedback or tweak the typical 60/70.

SOUND QUALITY

Please note this is not a distortion or a simple saturation even if in rglant sustain at least gives her a soft saturation (but with a long sustain dj trs).

Used with a guitar (Epiphone Les Paul) on Hiwatt custom 100 amp: one with its gargantuan fuzz sustain a standard even with the sustain button near the minimum. The sounds are Garage 60 '. OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few days and I gained about the sound with a guitar. For the bass I find LBig Muff better than my Boss pdalier M88 (the register disto-fuzz that got my cut too low the frquences).

59 euros new at Toto. At this price all the good guitarist / bassist / homestudiste has to have a Big Muff in his drawer effect, even if it is absolutely not an all-purpose pedals because the fuzz is not suitable everyone, not all styles of music.

Little Big Muff pedals, power supply standard, 3 knobs, the tough-looking exterior ... short, aa t pens by and for the rock! I connected a One Spot power supply with a garland, and no problem, it works nickel.

The sound is incredible! I am a fan of Kyuss, well, here it is ... is approached just as many Black Sabbath, Led Zep, Pearl Jam or Mars Volta. Be careful when even know what we want, because the versatile is its main quality, but if you like that kind of sounds that mean? Ca resort bass madness, the sound is bold, vintage, and the serious mdiums are beautiful ... And yet, everything has a Start, I can not imagine what happens with a double coil (Chri did you hear? I've had a short week, and you'll understand that I am in love dja. I use it in complment a Maxon OD-9 which, in a style that trs trs compltement diffrent the job as well.
The only while this switch petuit BMOL is a bit noisy, which leaves the big "plop" when changing her, but when using a big muff, one suspects that there is not an intimate group bossa to accompany you, so a should not affect your benefits scniques too.

UTILIZATION

The configuration is very simple, people come here easily, not need the manual. The knobs are super responsive. We quickly made the rounds and that's fine like that.

SOUND QUALITY

I use it on guitars humbucker. The sound immediately stuck me, I love the heavy grain, fat and "creamy". It is not at all artificial fever. It is dirty and goes inside but still accurate and "clear". It's not a mess. The only problem is that it does not really rhythmic third or other seventh. Agreements for large straight rolling!
Well, the pedal is not versatile, but it is not a fault in itself. It offers only one type of sound, but could ... well it does!

OVERALL OPINION

I have since yesterday, the first fuzz that I got. I tried the fuzz factory but I have not found a sound that I plugged. Okay, it's a pedal that requires constant experimentation, patience, but all those knobs spin me dizzy. Value incredible, I bought it on track for 49 euros is given.

The config could not be simpler.

The Little Big Muff is a distortion pedals / fuzz. It's roughly the legendary Big Muff, which can be heard on tons of records, used by Carlos Santana, David Gilmour, The White Stripes, etc.. Except that the standard of the original Casing t replaced by something a little more practice with true bypass (the signal does not pass through the circuit when the pedals disables, to avoid a "puff" sound) and standard diet.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several weeks on a Fender Super Champ XD (+ modlisations lamps) with a copy of ES 335 (humbuckers) and a Telecaster with a P90.

And I love it! It took me some time to get DCID buy it because I do not much gnral plays in distortion. But Bigg Muff distortion is not like any other: dirty (but not forcment), powerful, warm, vintage and more versatile that it looks, while keeping his inimitable personality ( enmity and elsewhere).

In short, I would do this choice every time, except that I will turn may be to the MODEL with "tone wicker," for even more versatility ...

This is a (physically) smaller version of the legendary Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pedal. It is a heavy fuzz and sustainer, a unique combo when the Big Muff was first introduced. This pedal's larger predecessor became legendary after being used by David Gilmour and Jimi Hendrix, amongst many other, newer players. It is an analog pedal through and through. There are no excess connection types other that the 1/4" input and output, as well as the input for a power supply (sold seperately, unfortunately). This isn't rackable of computer/midi capable.

UTILIZATION

This is a really easy pedal to use, just like the original. There are three knobs, Sustain, Tone and Volume, all of which are rather self-explanatory assuming you know that sustain is virtually the same as compression. There is really no need for a manual.

SOUND QUALITY

When I first saw the Little Big Muff, I assumed that it was a less powerful, cleaner pedal than the original (whatever that means anymore) Big Muff. I later tried one out and was actually really surprised. This thing sounds very much like the Big Muff Pi, and has minimal differences from the larger ones that came out in the same year (2000). This is a supremely dirty, powerful fuzz pedal. It's great for really rocking rhythms. Some people complain about leads, I tend to either switch pickups and increase volume on the guitar or even use a boost of some type to get a better lead sound with it. When you have enough clarity and high end, you can really make this pedal sing!

OVERALL OPINION

This is a perfect way to make the Big Muff easier for most people. If you're crowding your pedal board to make room for your big muff, you might want to think about this alternative as you'll suffer virtually no tonal differences. The price is totally worth it for the killer tone.

The Electro-Harmonix Little Big Muff Reissue is simply a smaller version of the Big Muff Pi.  It contains the same circuitry and everything.  The pedal is an analog one, with standard 1/4 inch connections for both input and output.  It can be powered by nine volt power supply and isn't rackable as it is a stomp box.

UTILIZATION

The Electro-Harmonix Little Big Muff Reissue has the most basic parameters for a distortion pedal possible.  You've simply got parameters for sustain, tone, and volume.  The sustain is awesome as it really does add a whole bunch of sustain to your tone, which is overall probably my favorite part of this pedal.  Unless you are an absolute beginner, I don't think that you need to have the manual to figure out how to use this pedal.


SOUND QUALITY

I have used the Electro-Harmonix Little Big Muff Reissue in the recording studio mostly with a '76 Fender Twin Reverb combo amp and a Fender Stratocaster.  I'm overall very pleased with the tones that I'm able to get within this configuration and with this pedal in general.  It definitely is a Big Muff as it has the same exact circuitry and make up of the reissue of this pedal that is a bigger.  I love how thick of a distortion tone that you get with this pedal, both for rhythm and lead parts.  Although a lot of people will use this for rhythm and chords, I generally use it for lead sounds as I really like the way that it fattens up my sound.


OVERALL OPINION

If you're looking for the Big Muff sound, but don't want to spend too much money, the Electro-Harmonix Little Big Muff Reissue is a good way to go.  While the regular Big Muff reissue isn't all that more expensive, but I kind of like having it so small as it makes it easier to fit on the pedal board, as the larger one does take up a lot of space.  I'd encourage those interested to check out the full line of Big Muff pedals, but this one is definitely a good choice.
