I use Live for 3 years and my version 6 for a week.

This is where Live can be a problem. The purchase of this program changed my computer. Before I had a Toshiba laptop pentium 4 to 3.06 GHz. I use a lot of vst (many freeware), and sometimes it happens that Live does not like some of the vst and plant automatically (maybe with synth soundfonts, but I have not tested like crazy I just saw that this kind of VST or AU was crashing the program).
