- How long have you use it?
For 2 years now and before that I was in Logic 8 (which had a lot of bugs fixed in version 9)

- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Before moving in Logic, I was a little fiddling Audacity, Garage Band and Soundtrack Pro especially. Subsequently, I also tested a bit Cubase, Ableton Live and Reaper.

- What is the particular feature you like best?
The design and ergonomics. Everything is pretty clear and easy to access in Logic 9. I also love the combo with Soundtrack Pro in editing mode to edit quickly certain sounds. Adding plug-in also with disconcerting ease (drag and drop ...). It is also possible to assign a controller midi (I use my numark omni control for all travel options and zoom). Automation is easily accessible throughout the software is fairly easy to handle. The recording preset is so cool (for effect, by track, by template, etc.)

- The least?
Management bus (especially the lack of control over a pre fader, post pan). The lack of track record (at least I have not found, and I found a kind not at all ergonomic equivalent). Adding color is also tedious. The lack of management plug-in VST, VST, RTAS.

- How would you rate the quality / price? With experience, you do again this choice? ...
The price / quality ratio is very honest. With experience, I probably would do this choice even though it is certainly possible to do so with Reaper is much cheaper (usually prevented me from having to migrate in Reaper).

I try Pro Tools, Nuendo, Cubase, Live, etc ...

-Ergonomics are all falls under the free, it is very well heal, you can even afford to work on a single screen.
There are a large number of plugs, synthesizer and samples with.
It is very stable and well maintenance cpu.

logic is very good value for money as it comes in packaging with soundtrack pro, WaveBurner, mainstage which are very good tool.

yes I do it again this choice as primer have tried most DAW firewall is one that suits me the best barrier against the way I work.

I use it for 2 years and a half now. I used cubase for me that was a real gas plant complex and very intuitive .... I finally took pleasure to record my songs the day I switcher on Logic.

The ease of use is its greatest asset, and the instruments and effects, even if not all first quality, are still effective enough to make a good model.

Her little downside sound difference between the sound and the result of multi-Bounce, but it is the case of many software like this ... And this defect worsens with the number of tracks processed. A board made a first Bounce and Inject it into Logic and rework the sound bouncer again.

The value for money is excellent.
I would do this choice without hesitation ....

I use it for more than a year.
Before and long ago, I worked on Cubase (atari and mac), vision (opcode mac) protools, Musicmaker (pc, very nice and cheap way) obviously garageband.
I was looking for a Swiss Army knife software capable of editing midi / audio, and I was especially attracted by the richness of the offer plug-in (effects, virtual instruments, loops): 9 DVD if I remember correct. Software Mainstage, Soundtrack Pro are also part of the package.
Currently, you can load any software on the AppStore independently for a very attractive price.

What I like:
- Providing software and richness of sound library
- Ease of use from the earliest uses (I do not know anything about Logic)
- Stability, never crash, it is significant
- Latency ridiculous (even with the integrated sound card in my macbook 2011)
- Mainstage (provided you spend time to configure and you do not make the mistake of charging 10 times the same piano sound without using aliases)

I do not like:
uh ... nothing really annoying
- Arpeggiator that I wanted to use one day for a laugh, this is a little choppy. Logic is for musicians, not the guys who play arpeggios in triplets with a finger.
- I would love to find a nice function Musicmaker (Magix) to assign an effect to a track segment, without activating the full track, but we obviously can easily circumvent the problem.
- Some midi loops completely useless (I do not like working with loops anyway, except for the battery).

Quality / price excellent.
I would do without this choice problem.

I use it since the release in late 2009.

I used the versions before, being a fan of Apple.

I love the ease of use for professional software with fast rendering "pro", precisely.
I love templates and presets with master pieces and busses adjusted with base effects on the slopes, or the opportunity to go to zero.

I love the ergonomics. Apple's spitting image. Just like the fact that there is no need drivers for devices.

500 euros is still expensive for a software whose license is only valid on a single computer. Grrrr.

I use a Firebox ECHO and it is just perfect, neither more nor less than what I expect from a home studio to record my band and me.

I use it since version 7, it is a very good app, but it is mostly the software suite that is interesting.

Between the sequencer, sound banks, virtual instruments, effects the plugs, the plugs dynamics and the rest of the package, and compatibility with reason and other groovebox midi control with Ipad (TouchOSC with), you okaz to have this app for 200 €. with an Ipad you have a keyboard trigger, mix the table while noon, with a sound card and a headset for around 800 € we have a great home studio complete and effective. I do not know if this is the best software on the market. But quality / price is unbeatable this suite.

and currently there for a while (6/8 months) rumors about the release of a new version (version X). I do not know what value it has.

I think it is a soft efficient, intuitive and functional. In addition, I find excellent ergonomics.

Personally, it's a complete tool of creation that I recommend without moderation.

Apple Logic Studio 9 was my main program that I would use a year ago. It was my go to program because of the VST’s that come with it. I think Logic has some of the best “built in” VST’s out of any program that has come out so far. Everything with Logic 9 is easy to use if you are already familiar with it, if you are new to Logic then you will have some issues and you will need to take a long look at the manual. The manual is in depth and has all of the info that you need to troubleshoot or just learn how to navigate your way through the menu’s in Logic 9. When you purchase Logic 9 you will get a few disk , the bonuses are Soundtrack Pro 3, Studio Effects, MainStage 2 and a few others that I cant remember off the top of my head. Apple also has a website where you can watch tutorials on how to work with Logic just in case reading the manual Pdf isn’t your thing.
I have been using Logic since 7 came out years ago and I continue to use it now on my Macbook Air. I never really finish a full song in Logic though because I like to work in Pro Tools as well. Some people say they would rather use Logic than Pro Tools but to me they both go hand and hand if you know how to use them correctly. Logic 9 was a great improvement from Logic 8. Apple continues to keep adding new features to Logic that keeps me on my toes. If you have a newer Mac computer, I highly suggest investing in Logic! It will be one of the best investments you have made in your music career because it is probably the best music creating software from composing to recording all in one that is out now. It is a must have.

Apple Logic Studio 9 is a great DAW and sequencing software that is for MAC only. I do wish that it was available for windows computers though so I could have it on my laptop and take it with me more places. Logic Studio 9 is a software that I have been using since Logic 6 or 7 and I keep moving forward upgrading it because I just love the functionality of the program itself. Its very easy to use, but not at first it will take some understand of the menus and basic functions before you will be able to really get creative with it. It took me a few weeks to really get the swing of things but after that I was good to go.

One of the things that I really like about it just how the mixer is set up, the mixer setup makes it really easy to add my effects and mess around with them to get the desired sound that I am looking for or want to create. Also, the basic stuff that comes with Logic Studio 9 will be enough for you to get going you wont need to purchase any plug ins right way untill you decide to start expanding. It comes ready to create beautiful music right out of the box. On the downside, the program is not cheap at all. Also, I wish it was a standard program that came with the mac instead of Garage Band. Since it only can be used on a mac they need to work out a deal to where it comes with the mac automatically then I think more people would be familiar with it. But when it comes to the Mac DAW’s, this and pro tools own the show!

Many people compare this to pro tools, I really wouldn’t say it is like pro tools but it just depends on other equipment that you have and what you goal is to do with music. There are ups and downs to using both. But all in all Logic Studio 9 is worth the pretty penny it cost.

What is so special that you love the most, least? I love his sense now! I m'xplique; in the past, I was working in Cubase for components and a small ProTools MP to the mix. A new version of each for Logic I tried, but no, did not understand it, too used to the interface and the logic of Cubase. A version 9 I decided to buy an Imac for first rose from PC to Mac then buy Logic Express to put myself seriously. A few months after I sold went to Cubase and Logic Studio. I never leave this program with which I do what I want. It just asked for some time. I am delighted and really did not feel they have wasted my time learning new software from A to ... Y
I'm even training on the software now ...

How would you rate the quality / price? Now available for € 199 on Istore is a product that overshadows these competitor I think at this price. The question is what Apple will do with the next version which is expected soon to appear.

With experience, you do again this choice? Without hesitation, no.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

MAC PRO DUAL CORE 4 gigs of RAM.

Everything is fluid, dual core resources are sufficient to run the aplli even asking a lot of effects and virtual instruments.

No bugs to report at this time.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since the day it came out and I had version 8 on my previous mac but this version works with Intel processors. I do not like the updates. So I bought the complete package.

The price is particularly attractive in terms of what we could pay for version 7.

Apple released the new version we are the same as the previous one.
