Magix Music Studio 2004 Deluxe
Not very big on the features. Deluxe does have a good effects rack though. I use it to mix finished projects. It has everything that i need, so i cant say that anything is missing. You can download vst effects and use them through the mixer. One effect you do need to go out and find is a stereo enhancer, because the one they use is crap.

Price paid: 69.99 USD

Music Maker 2004 Deluxe is the easiest thing i have ever used to make tracks with. The interface allows you to get work done very quickly. You arn't clicking on this and that all the time (not to say that you don't have options). Only drawback is that you cant import wav files into the samplers. Whenever I need something custom made (particularly a bass line), i have to open fl studio, create it there, and import it to my arrangement. Doing this is very easy though, no hassles at all. I would recommend you to download some better effects to really enhance your finished products, as the ones included are okay, but are not as strong.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The sound quality varies on your soundcard. I can tell a difference between using it on my moms laptop and my Pc (both dell). The sounds within are okay for beginners. A draw back i found though after i gained experience and started using fruity loops was that you cant really import waves.

The only problem I have when using Music Maker is sometimes (rarely) I will drag the sampler into the arrangement area, and it will close down, with windows showing the error message. Other than that, I have no probs.

OVERALL OPINION

I really am glad that I started out with this program because of its easy use for begginers and other levels of knowledge on music production. I just click the icon on my desktop, and i'm off producing. With Music Maker 2004 Deluxe, you truly only limit yourself to what you can do. Like with other programs, dig deep and see what you can find by clicking menus, buttons, etc. Its very easy to master the effects rack, mixer, and the shortcut buttons which speeds up the button clicking time, and lets you stay focused on using your song. To me, this program is a great buy for new producers, but strong enough to hang with more talented producers with the right know-how and tips.

Magix Music Studio 2004 Deluxe
Installation in 10 minutes. All nickel.
Configuration gnrale carefree.
The manual came with the package is unqiue getting started (including 3 / 4 for the part MIDI Studio).

This "pack" thus contains two distinct software (Studio and Midi). Not possible to install only one.
Note also that when installing a kind of "media manager" is squatting your PC. Fortunately, it is easy to uninstall later, but it would be able to choose prfr before! (O note 9 / 10)

Complment: the updates are available at www.magix.com (http://www.magix.com) Tlcharger in the "patches". An update for "midi", another for "Studio". 30 and about 15 MB ... ADSL necessary (but not essential to day implementation of Part Studio is my opinion and I share)

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

PC Pentium 4, 2.4 Ghz, 256 Ram MMO. No problems running, no crash.

A few crashes on the "studio" (the other, I do not use it) since installing the update Does li?

OVERALL OPINION

Last days I have been using it a year or so. Attention, I can only speak of the audio studio, which seems to be identical Samplitude APRS what I saw ...
Trs it works well, the editing functions are simple and obvious. Within hours, the tool was well in hand, facilitated in this by the possibility of CRER very easy keyboard shortcuts for all commands (which is always faster than the mouse).
The possibility of shipping, registration, correction made, etc. etc.. are impressive for the price.

It was also the possibility of installing plugins (prfrentiellement in DirectX, but the VST is supported by a VST-DX Adapter included in the installation CD), for example the beautiful and fine r Anwida verb (freeware).

Software Advisor anyone wishing to start recording, and hsitant pay more. Remember the ad "ERAM" Why dpenser more?
At the Lumire the practice of this tool, you must then ask the question to evolve towards more onreux software, which give (slightly) more? Frankly, given the possibilities as I can see that Samplitude Pro (1000 euros). The "step" is a little big for my abilities means.

I could compare with "free" as Quartz Audio Master (and others). MAS2004 is still incomparably even better!

Compared Cubase SX, MAS is a little below. The edition is more powerful Cubase, some features most successful, small "plus" in handling objects ... MAS but also some advantages all bx, such that the path is the name of taking whatever the zoom level, the labels that indicate that the object has changed t "time stretching "or other treatment, and management of inputs outputs, easily Grable of 2 soundcards Different.

In short, Obviously for beginners, but also to work on projects semi-professional, no-indication against use MAS2004, quite the contrary!

Most excellent ratio QUALITY / PRICE

Magix Music Studio 2004 Deluxe
(Precision: I'm beginners in the computer music but this is my second "real" After a few freeware software, and version 4.8 of Emagic Micrologic, which give me the nausea)

No problem for installation. The software contains some MIDI, an audio, installed 2 (no choice). There are few things in addition to its software CD covers, a "tester" of compatibility plug-in, ...

Level no incompatibility problem with my configPC, Windows XP.
Some plug-ins do not work, but there are so many forcment found happiness.

To configure the dpart, is simple, the default rglages agree convincing beginners, getting to know little bit, you can tweak, and without knowing it too.

The manual provides the foundation for really beginners, and some useful tips trs. The bulk is in the MIDI (I only use the personal audio), there tutorials that I did not test (a little chi ** ts).
The grip is super simple, even for an ultra beginners, and if you have a little touch this kind of software is really a breeze.
In addition, if you lack the concepts, are the forumers of Audiofanzine

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Config PC uses:
motherboard ASUSP4P800
Pentium4 2.8 Ghz
1GB SD-Ram
Sound Blaster Audigy Live 5.1

The logieil works perfectly. I had 512 RAM in dpart, and this is sufficient to MMS2004, but I do a lot of other things with my PC, and above all I record a demo with my band, so I doubled my RAM , not to take risks (I'm big fan of mixing effects, and eat a lot)

I have no delay (when I think back to the logic audio!) Upon registration, all done in real time, even with a lot (a lot) of tracks.

The only crashes are due to some plug-in

OVERALL OPINION

This will make six months I have bought completely by chance, the description on the package, the price (less than 50 euros) and my sleepless nights (because of Logic Audio), I have not h sit ... I tried the same night and since then no problem.

In my case, it will allow me to give life a proposed model, A Z. Recording, mixing, "mastering", burning the CD cover, with a simplicity and quality dconcertante enough for the price.

Default: in fact, the effects Intgr (amps, Galiza, compressor, reverb, delay) are a bit limited, and ... rotten, yes, that's the word. But there are a ton of plug-in compatible, everything is everything. Be careful, as with all other software, some are not compatible.

The only problem meeting are the plug-ins that are planted from time to time, but there is a system that safeguards (a little weird for that matter) which does not waste the few hours hard.

I did some small test applications (style music center) or the *** to ***** Logic Audio 4.8, (I never test cubase for example), but I do it again the m me with no choice hsitation.

Magix Music Studio 2004 Deluxe
Implementation: installation without problems, but I said that I had no other CAM software on the PC (a laptop with a novation Speedio). (Another installation on a second pc has caused me some difficulties in MIDI, but I think it was mostly the sound card)

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Suitability / Performance: I work in Live, two dynamic microphones, a sound card Speedio (USB), a portable PIV 2.6 GHz 512 GB HDD and 40.

OVERALL OPINION

Global Opinion: In Stock for 3 weeks
Software very intuitive and easy to learn, with respect to the least: to see in the future but for now I'm satisfied.
Very good value for Q / P
At present, yes, I do it again the same choice.
