Started playing piano and trumpet at age 5, and still playing everything i can get my hands on!! I perform with guitar and bass for the most part these days.

Bought at Guitar Center and paid $420.00 USD

The concept intrigued me...that is where it ends

Even with their set programs this thing has fluctuations in tone and volume. I swapped cords,guitars,tried it thru my Mesa Maverick, Ampeg V-4 (yes i bought it new...i'm that old!!) and through a Marshall JCM 800...same result. Went back to Guitar center and their display does the same thing. I returned it on the spot and I will continue to use the assortment of stomp boxes and Wah pedals I own.

I didn't keep it long enough to have an opinion on that!

As far as the effects....No one company makes the best of each type of effect. Find ones that sound good with the rig you play on. As far as the amp modeling pedal.....I only play tube amps and the concept of a modeling pedal is quirky at best. If you want a certain sound save up and buy the thing!! Why did I buy it??? Too much time on my hands and too much cash in my pocket...dangerous combination. Good thing Guitar Center has an excelent return policy!!

UTILIZATION

It's pretty simple to use, but it is a factory gas useless (I explain why below)

SOUND QUALITY

Effects as much as you want, what for?
The simulation ... it parat some prfrent the inflatable dolls (that mchant, I think so!).
What effect I prfre when the Tonelab is dyed! (Apologies for the humor)

OVERALL OPINION

I'll play the empcheur around in circles.
As for the hardware boxes which I think does not MRIT same.
To place myself, with more than 50 years, I prfre authenticity of these devices. If you dress in a Twingo Ferrari, you will not have a Ferrari.
A friend informed me that prter multi-effects for me to try it and it does not t my dception.
The dressing, all you want, the real one is away!
Plus, who can certify that it will use all the effects (some trs relatives) on offer, or those crs, the feet are warm on scne to switch because the other unless you want to tap dance at the same time!
I test a sound system for amplification neutral for me this tape of the eye. A beautiful woman makeup too.
When I board on my Fender lights, I suddenly will appreciate the warmth, roundness and everything of his I had.
I quickly packed up the Vox to return the expditeur regretting the hours that I had passed on, yet knowing that I left with a positive attitude after reading DIFFERENT review

Résumé in a nice little amp lamps, two small pedals (distortion + chorus) and a trs good technique and it will be perfect.
It is tempting to hide the weakness of his game by layers of effects, such as makeup can mask an ugly button, but the illusion does not last long. It is useless to copy a particular sound of any guitar, you have to play as we feel, with its guts, to make a key piece, and not to imitate the magic happen (the sample included no shortage of fabulous ).
You have to work his instrument well matriser, the effects will be useless.

Trs simple configuration.
Editing sounds easy, intuitive.
Manuel trs clear, effective and even pdagogique.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are sufficient.
Start with an Essay.
Part prampli, modlisation is ... flateuse but inefficient.

OVERALL OPINION

I found the friendly edition trs, the sufficient effect, perfect ergonomics, the robust chassis, trs attractive prices, in short, everything to please.
Well NO!
Not at all.
Obviously clean sounds 'go', but plug a Start into a DI Avalon and direct console, which is 100 times better.
The crunch is saturated, distortion, overdrive, ... all have the same defect: total lack of prsence.
None of these sounds do not emerge from a mix, even in qulisant, compressing ...
Sr good home, with your amp, headphones or your speakers, you'll find a huge, warm, brilliant ... How flattering.
But scne, your sound will merge with that of the breakdown of the club, and this, regardless of the receiver cabinet configuration chosen.
The amps are modlisations trs good, bravo for the research and Fidler (MODEL for each, the buttons change fontion we journey through the history of the guitar ...) but DSOL made less and better:
those who want a Twin achtent a Twin, and those who love achtent Boogie Boogie.
Instead of giving us the means to do our sound, this device offers plenty of sound dj STRP, but fake.
I played on Roland VG-88, by the way, I go back no light in it but the same in the dark, it sounds!.
The VG-88, we start from nothing, everything is Settings, and do you do your sound.
I will not go this choice, since I returned.

- There are not thousands of effects and amps, just ncessaire, a magnificent modlisation pedals and amp + speakers all typs trs.

- Connection: send / return (jack), MIDI I / O (DIN), Jack Stereo Mono 3.5 or 2 jack (left, right) or 2 with any one fawn knob for volume g nral output, input jack (yes bah ...)

UTILIZATION

For use, the concept is very simple:
- 1 button (at the foot, of course) can switch to "pedals" or "Preset" (hold = tuner, with a panel of LED Green / Red ddi nothing that a)

- In "pedals", IT CAN BE USED other switch is:
-> Button A / B to change the channel like any amp
-> Button 1-Pedal: to enable / disables effects pedals (distortion or other)
-> Button 2-Modulation: to enable / disables modulation pedals (chorus or other)
-> 3-Button Delay: to enable / disables the time limit PDAL
-> Button 4-Reverb: to enable / disables rverb

- In "Preset"
-> Button A / B to change the channel like any amp
-> 1,2,3,4 Button: to change the memory (14) in the bank select (124)

In short, you can use this pdalier like analog pedals c'tait 4 + 1 amp branches SERIES (former) or as a system that in modern modlisation.

SOUND QUALITY

For rglages, even not need the notch, there's every knob like on the real amps and pedals true, and everything is described directly above.

For the sounds, everything Modl scored his era one time or another, and it's a pleasure to use, especially since it does not Noit in the mass (the choice is not monstrous, a dozen pedals, mod, delay, amp, speaker cabinet, reverb).

All is available immediately without going through a menu that dfile 3 hours, there's that turn and click.

Used with guitar Whale Whalebone 55 (hollowed mahogany set neck Seymour Duncan SH55 Seth Lover). The sound is absolutely gniale, tantt round and soft, dry tantt filthy, according to the amp and pedals chosen. Beautiful large rock to jazz.

OVERALL OPINION

- I use it since its release.
- I love all of this stuff, incredibly easy to use (although sr, you have to fiddle with more than 5 minutes to understand the subtleties ... say an hour with the manual to take advantage of any background) .
- Attention, it is not enough rpter in the manual it is important to rgler parmamtre the "out" according to that on which the branch (guitar amplifier or line). This provides a sound that suited gnialement derrire, but if not rgler, a feedback or the sound is awful).
- The report qualitprix? Gnial, as long as one is "open" (I'm sick of these guys who say that modlisation amp like the amp is not worth it ... even 10 times expensive, still happy!).

- I try other pdaliers the Boss GT8 in particular. This is much more "gas factory", with the added sound very modern (in contrast with the many characters the Tonelab Vintage). I conoit all the same as according to what you want to do, it can also be a solution INTERESTED.
