I will not repeat the trick effects. There's minimal effects for almost all play (except perhaps the metal ...). such as chorus, delay, simulation of amp, pedals, reverbs. It is pedal format and super convenient in rehearsal, in the studio or live. We may regret the absence of usb.

UTILIZATION

I have not had too much need for manual use is quite simple, super intuitive knobs corresponding to the parameters (gain, treble, bass ...)

SOUND QUALITY

Effects are of good quality but it does not hack finely.
Some simulations are more realistic and give more "want to play" than others. Used guitars are a Gibson LP and a Fender statocaster (squier).

OVERALL OPINION

I used it for about 3 years and I'm separate buying a 11R which is a higher range and format rack. The tonelabSE no longer be available in nine ca occasion but can be a good deal. I have not had the opportunity to try the POD HDXXX which is probably the same lineage. I do not Regrete my choice because it is a small box containing good enough to play easily and without problem ... the rest being in our 10 fingers. OVERALL OPINION

I used it from 2008 to 2011. Purchased 250 secondhand, sold just under 200. It remains a very good deal.

Ben really good when it works! ca is a good alternative if you have a transistor amp and not much means to buy pedals. You will not be disappointed! For my part, I continue to use it while waiting to take me a tube amp with pedals.

SOUND QUALITY

I used this machine for 7 years and it made me very good service.
To be honest I have not tried many multi-effects before you buy. I bought it on the advice of an informed person.
I do not regret this choice because it is very convenient and somehow it helped me determine my "sound", to know what effect I used most often etc.. It allowed me to make the transition to a pedalboard that has only what I need.
My opinion is that this pedal can make a transition period between learning effects, settings and one where it feels to move to more upscale products, corresponding to its sound. I see it as a kind of laboratory where each can determine / shape its overall musical identity.
Then with time and more meetings with the gear couillu we want to move on ...

I've been looking to simplify my set-up and add a few new sounds, the Vox product looked interesting and seemed to be well tought-out and built. I purchased mine at Guitar Center for $599.00

Several things I like about the unit. First, it's easy to edit sounds, the pre-amps/cabinets and effect chain is layed out so that it is easy to access and edit, and the unit shows you where the parameters were set before you started editing them. Second each program allows you to save A and B amp selections, thus creating two different sounds with the same array of effects for each program. Also, being able to assign effect parameters to the expression pedals is a nice feature. Overall the sound quality is good, you can create some warm/natural sounds without sounding over processed.

I've spent alot of time trying to get a great sound out of my guitars and amps, and I often play directly to the amp, without coloring the sound. You can't by-pass this unit. Well, you can by-pass the effects, but I can't find a way to by-pass the pre-amp and cabinet simulators. You should be able to do this without buying an A/B switch. The other complaint I have is the tonal characteristics. The tone controls for the pre-amps seem weak to me, the cabinet selection is where I needed to go to develop the tone, also, the unit sounds a little dry, there's not much headroom, not like you'd have in a tube amp. (I know this has a tube, but it's basically a solid state processor). So depending on what you're looking for, it may or may not fit the bill.




The construction of the unit is excellent. It's easy to use and built to last.

The bottom line is, I like the unit, and you get alot of usable features for the price. I'm going to try work with it and decide weather or not to keep it.

J'apprcie that the effects are not too many: we keep everything a guitarist needs without putting impact 'gadget', often unusable.

The two magnificent prsence pedals of expression is the most beautiful effect, and the number of switches can have fun live and offers many possibilities.

UTILIZATION

OVERALL OPINION

I used a year as a guitarist / singer to play alternative rock and pop rock.

Live is really happiness, you press a switch and presto, everything is the effect, simus amp ... No need to play the tap!

The sound is good trs, provided that the receiver plugs into a sufficiently transparent and quality.

I am if I had the same sparmais needs before (have it all under foot and be able to have live sound quality and especially that carries everywhere), I would have the same choice!
