Good distortion pedal.
However, as the name suggests, it is not polivalente (no level adjustment distortion, it is always full).

UTILIZATION

Pedal very easy to use.
The settings are reliable because the knobs are a bit hard which prevents them tounrent with the vibrations of the scene (near battery ...).
The pedal is heavy and does not move when used on stage unlike other brands that are light pedals. on the other hand it is less convenient to carry.

SOUND QUALITY

Good record to play metal.

Use for 2 years, it is his job.

UTILIZATION

It could not be simple: hop in the clean channel, turn the knobs and go! SETTINGS st very simple, you can easily find desired sounds.

SOUND QUALITY

I wanted a well raw (true black) and no problem, it perfectly fulfills this goal. Equa V, hmm ... it sizzles nickel
Somewhat synthetic sound good but ca not mind the style. For other metal sound it makes tt did the trick.

OVERALL OPINION

I have not actually used, I had an Engl Fireball with V30 shortly after, and the picture is not happening very easily from the raw ...

If not for the price (really cheap!) And a condition that looks very typical of sth is a very good pedal, you just have to believe it can replace a good amp!

What is of note is that this ct rglages of legalization can go from one extreme to another (probably because the pedals uses filters). I hear you can by, for example turning compltement low or, alternatively, add a max. It has a ct INTERESTED.

Note that the pedals has 2 outputs: 1 FOR the amp and the other between prvue to live in a mixing desk (and simulating a 4x12 seems prsence it). Trs honntement, the output line has little intrt
: The sound is not enough and I cram (question of taste and can be SETTING THE lack of me).
In résumé: efforts made (+ knobs powerful dual output), but lack of adjustable gain. Well ... 6 / 10?

UTILIZATION

The usage is simple: one connects -> we play!
L o a plot thickens (and given the comments of aa previously laisss dgouter in more than one!) Is rglage ct. Attention, we understand well: there are only 4 knobs so it's really not complicated to run and listen! But ... ilfaut time to find a sound that is in line with its skyscrapers, its style of play, the amp etc. ...
The manual provides many rglages but the names are not explicit and, like all pre-rglages facts, does not ring with the gear they utiliss them and especially c ... is based on the feel of each!
In résumé: no head-taking the logical but a little good will ncessaire. 7 / 10

SOUND QUALITY

This PDAL filled out its rle my opinion. It dlivre much much gain but just grate the amount of gain over the volume of pickups guitar. If there are knobs for volume and good performance microphones has posed no problem!
For example, I play in a hardcore punk band (with a lot of parts mtal). I have a universe (UV777PBK), a bandit 112 in a 4x12 marshall branch (rather marshMal) and a Boss DD6. My guitar volume knob is never above 5 or 6 except for the solo (10/10 particular because of the tapping and sustain!)
My rglages:
- On the PDAL: Volume = 3-4, Low = 8-9, medium = 5-5.5; Aigues = 5
- On the amp: Canal clean => Volume = 3, Low = 8; Mediums = 4 6; Aigues = 5 6.5

Without EXAGRES, what adlivre bury a lot of people (it's pretty violent!).

The note is quite personal and adquate comes to style, but to have it tested in solid areas (HxC, Punk, Rock, Trash, Death, Prog and even for solos funky pieces!), provided we know the master ca balance so well: 7 / 10

NB: only 7 because it's true that it causes a lot of feedback.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been 2 or 3 years now I use it ... I had a t I o PERIOD dgout left unchecked because I had enough and I found her draft. I test a lot of other distos (MetalZone, JackHammer, DS1, HeavyMetal, those in GT6 and stuff of all kinds), but the one for me a lot in the end.
Ct qualitprix I think we found there carrment well. it's worth to have it below the elbow for its price (compared to a MT2 frankly that costs more)

I do it again but I confess that choice prfrer my other pedals: a Guyatone MMX Metal Monster (which is top but ... break! Sniff)

I also want to dnoncer a certain attitude of the guitarists who have tried and dclarent "pedals this is rotten ... it is worthless ... the sound is dirty." Once again I gots the BPS and the colors do not discuss the quality of play ... a little dj!
Sr is the pedals do not forgive but must first question before proposing to hold one might almost be described as defamatory (ah. .. if I was working with such people Digitech I tell them ...)

In résumé: a frankly honnte pedals that provides a big big sound

The Digitech Death Metal effect stomp box is a single distortion pedal. It is a digital pedal, which cannot be edited. It is not rackable and has audio outs.

UTILIZATION

It is a pretty simple pedal, meaning that no manual is really required. The effect editing is easy as well, just 3 simple knobs on the front let you edit the sound. I have yet to need the manual, but the diagrams are very descriptive, and make everything very simple.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are good for someone looking for a simple distortion. I use it in about 4 out of 10 songs and it sounds alright. The mid control brings a little bit too much hiss and the sound of the distortion is a little bit too overdrawn. Hitting multiple strings is almost impossible to make sound good, without some form of better EQ or compression.

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using this product for about a year. I like the ease of use that this pedal has, making editing the effect drastically easier than some of the RP models, but the sound suffers a little and sounds slightly like it is a trash can. I tried the overdrives and Grunge pedals and this one beats the Grunge, which is horrible. The price is decent for the effect, but more expensive models sound better, such as the Boss Heavy Metal distortion. If I could make the decision again, I would probably buy the Boss pedal.

This is a pure distortion pedal. You can get overdrive out of it, there are even presets for it. However, I believe this pedal is specifically tailored for hard, heavy, driving distortion. The heavier, the better. It is a digital unit and cannot be edited via computer. It is a floor pedal, so it is not rackable. The unit has one input and two outputs. One output is for going to an amp. The other is a cabinet modeler that allows you to go straight into the mixing board.

UTILIZATION

Configuration is simple. It has four knobs : level, low, mid and high. As digitech says, they've set the gain on 11 and ripped off the knob ! Thus the lack of a gain knob on this unit. Sounds/effects editing is very easy and the clear, colorful manual makes it even easier. There are not only presets for just this unit, but the manual also shows how you can combine it with other effects to get a solo tone.

SOUND QUALITY

This pedal really only serves one purpose....it's a death metal pedal, just like the name says! As such, it sound greats for death, trash, nu-metal, and even heavy metal! I put this thing through a Fender Twin and it was palm muting hell (or heaven depending on your opinion.) It is great for heavy rhythm grind. Unfortunately, because the treble is so harsh, I don't feel this is a great pedal for soloing. The manual has a sample setup that has this pedal chained to a delay and a chorus for a smoother soloing sound. When I mimic this set up, it sounds a little better, but the treble is still too harsh in my opinion, even with the delay and chorus.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had this pedal for about 3 and a half years. I love playing Metallica style, Evanescence, basically any kind of power chord riffs with this thing. Unfortunately, it is not good for soloing, even though it has a soloing preset. And using this thing at praise and worship? Forget about it! The only time I've used it on stage at church is when we played Bring me to Life by Evanescence. I figure that will be the extent of my use of this pedal in a church setting. I tried many DOD and digitech models before buying this one, but this one won at the time because I was specifically looking for something that could play the heavy riffs of a song I wrote. Unfortunately, I apparently did not take into consideration the soloing capabilities of this unit. If I did, I very well might have ended up with something different. It's not too bad of a $50 spent, and at least the 2nd mixer output gives me the option of adding another amp to my rig in stereo.
