I paid $80 for mine's at Guitar Center
I bought it bcause i wanted a razor sharp distortion with big sustain for leads and chunky dropped "D" rythim.

The best of this unit has to be the sustain and wild extreme amounts of gain. It has very quiet bypass and it can make any amp even a wimpy little one loud and mean

When i crank the volume on the unit, it looses some of the definition. The distortion tends to be very wild and hard to control at higher volumes. This effect is great for lead, but when two guitars are involved in rythim, it makes the song sound like mud. The left hand side Effect options on the pedal all sound like AM radio. The 12' o clock position is good, the best are …

This effect is great for lead, but when two guitars are involved in rythim, it makes the song sound like mud. The left hand side Effect options on the pedal all sound like AM radio. The 12' o clock position is good, the best are 1 and 2 o clock. To take it beyond that is extreme, kinda death metal but horrible when cranked loud.

The quality is excellent but you definitely must conside buying the adaptor. One thing that pisses me off is that the control knobs esily shift positions when transportin the pedal in my pedal board. sturdier knobs would be nice.

The metal pedal is great for lead. Solos sound awsome specially when using a whah or a delay to compliment the distortion. However, if you have two guitars in the band and both are playing dirty rythim, the metal pedal will not be your best friend when it comes to clarity and definition.

I bought is used from my friends brother for 20 bucks.

The distortion is amazing, especially when yuo crank up the morph. If your into death metal, even thrash metal it is perfect for you.

if you have the morph cranked up and try to play a solo on high notes it sounds crappy.

its a tough little thing, it can hurt you!!!!!!

Its a great pedal for ROCKERS, i wouldnt consider playing punk on it cause its too heavy for that, metallica sounds great on it.

I bought this at a Music-Go-Round (in KY) for about 90 bucks. This was my second distortion pedal.I went expecting to get a Big Muff distortion/sustainer but the salesman covinced me otherwise.

I had a Danelectro Fab Tone first, which was okay, but this is way better. It is a solid little piece of metal with knobs on it. I have banged and jumped on it soooo much, and it barely even has a scratch. I'm also glad the "pots" on it after 4 months are just as smooth and accurate as when I bought it, on my Fab Tone I had to replace 1 pot and re-seal another after only 1 month. It also looks cool on stage. And the bright red light is also helpful in dark situations!

I just don't like the fact that I have been trying to replicate that authentic Korn sound and this didn't really give me all the low-end rattle, crunch and thud. It tottally craps out if the bass is up! But if you just want a good bang for the buck (in distortion) this is the way to go!

Like I said, I weigh quite a bit more than itand I have stomped it, dropped it, even accidentally stepped on it at concerts. It looks like a high-end, studio-quality effect that costed 200 bucks!!!

If you are a new player, or if you want some good distortion (like Metallica, Pantera, Black Label Society, ect.) it is worth every penny!

I believe i paid 80 bucks at sam ash for this pedal. And am slightly disappointed in it.

Well built with a good metal distortion. Compact like every pedal should be and light. Sturdy nobs. Have had this pedal for a few years and not one manufacture problem with it.

OK the pedal gives you a good metal distortion sound, but if your like me and like alot of bass in your distortion then this will pose as a problem. Either its too much bass or too little bass. Ive matched it with a digitech 2120, behringer 21 band EQ, rane parametric eq. And still have the same problem. I shouldve stuck with the boss mt-2. Which im going back to. The morph nob is okay but compared to the mt-2 that lets you mess with the frequency of the mid this nob blows. The boss you can get a nice mid sound and then set the frequency. With the metal master you just get one mid sound which mid can either make or break your sound. So the freceuncy nob makes a big difference. And also the mt-2 has a drive nob incase you dont need full blown volume on the distortion and want some chrous or another effect to flow through the distortion.

Solid as every pedal should be. No problems with construction of this unit.

Its a good pedal and has a good sound. But if your looking to do fear factory, mesghuaga (however you spell it, NIN, Slayer or anything that might have a really really low end sound you should get an boss mt-2 cause that pedal can replicate the metal master plus add to the sound.

I bought this baby at guitar center for 80 bucks. I got it because i wanted a really heavy sounding tone on my guitar.

This thing kicks ass and then some. I have a 15 watt amp, and for 15 watts, it sounds real heavy. When you crank the treble, bass and morph all the way up, you get a real low and crunchy heavy sound. The morph knob is really cool. You can go from punk, to metal and lots of other stuff. When you switch from clean to dirty, there is no noise.

I love it. I might get a boss MT-2 or MD-1. I read the reviews and i guess they are alot heavier sounding. But for now, i am stickin with this pedal.

Its an all around great pedal. I am very happy with it and it was worth the money. If you are into metal or punk (or both) then you should get this pedal. I will destroy the world if you dont.

I bought this at Guitar CEnter for about $90.

I like this pedal's great versitilaty. You can play Metal(of course) to punk. The "Morph" knob is great. at 0 there is tons of mid range and at 10 it is completely cut out.

The price was a little high if you ask me. And the batteries ran out so quick, i went and bought an AC adapter.

Hasn't broken yet, thats all I've got to say.

Theres some great distortion on this puppy if your willing ot pay up.

Clear metal type distortion, better not too nice to want to play (like rock) to be at risk of

    4 knobs:
-1 Level -> What The volume lol
-1 Hi -> The rglage treble (nan srieux?)
-1 Bass -> The rglage bass (waaaaaaaaah)
-1 Morph -> then the person I find this very interesting thing, it changes the "face" (or color, I would not know what term to use) the distortion quite significantly, precise (its a knob and not a switch, like on a DS2 for example).

    3 taken:
    -Input
    -Output
-Mix (presumably to go to a table or console)

There's lessentiel, morph button is original and especially it is useful (not like the stuff that some manufacturers rajoutent the pedal to distinguish the…

My friend has paid 140 euros I think should be ca 3 years 2 TFW

    UTILIZATION

Bon ca is quite simple, I even tend to say more than a simple MT2 equalizeur seen that is smaller, there are sounds interesting pretty quickly.
    Otherwise it is classic.

    SOUND QUALITY

Well, tests on the clean channel of a Peavey Classic, a high-volume, is a small breath but it's still really lightweight compared to the volume.

Otherwise we can say that this PDAL has a range of sounds INTERESTED forcment not super tight, but the metallic enough to find their happiness without seeking rglage for hours.

Pass the 3 / 4 on the low, it begins to send a lot of really low so ca cest INTERESTED also for those who love

Morph the way to the right, the bass and treble fairly high and the level, by blocking the palm mute the strings run level, and one begins to scratch Pantera

Finally I find it quite versatile and good quality long as one remains in the metal sound

    OVERALL OPINION

Well I note a bit harsh, I put not 10 everywhere (really need mimpressionne ca)
but I think we all fawn is his opinion on the comments and not the numbers we put.

It is a good pedal overall, good value qualitprix (y 'value for money), and fairly simple rule that stands out the button and allows dobtenir morph sounds DIFFERENT for distortion.

Well do not buy this if it pedals to play anything but metal obviously

say that I am very satisfied with this little thing

(Ouiiiiiiiiiin it is not me I must make)
